The 26-inch wine and cheese platter I had made was too large for most engraving machines, but Dick found a way to make it work. I created a wine label using artistic components from the winery we visited in Chile. Dick tweaked it, e-mailed it back to me for an okay and I picked it up soon after. I love it. EXACTLY what I'd hoped for. Dick was terrific about communicating with me via e-mail all the way through the process. My favorite part of the whole experience, though, was the compassion I saw in Dick. The day I dropped off my platter, he was working on a memorial stone for a little baby. He said the prices that had been quoted to the mother at Granite places had been off the charts. He recognized the loss and responded to it. He said he had many opportunities to be a part of people's joys and losses and I thought that was a pretty cool avocation. I had a custom stove cover made for our ice castle fish house and had called around to find an engraving shop that my board would fit in their machine. Many places said they t would not fit in their machine. Some were not willing to do individual orders, I was told they only do bulk. I contacted the laser shop and they were amazing. They explained what I needed to provide prior and all I had to do was drove off my board. I dropped it off and he had said about a week. They're the best! I highly recommend them! In June they made a memorial plaque and it turned out beautifully. They were extremely helpful in the design process and made sure that the materials used would withstand the elements. I decided to put together a rifle package for my Father-in-law's 71st Birthday and wanted to add a little flare to the rifle stock. I created a custom logo and with Dick's help, I was able to put together a beautiful family heirloom that my father-in-law will be able to take into the woods.
