The Lakes keeps evolving. Tenants come, tenants go. The physical outdoor space is beautiful day or night. I sometimes make a special drive by in the evening to see the lights outlining the grassy areas and the fountains lit up highlighting the dancing water. Very sorry to bid a quick adieu to Brighton recently. The good-byes were short and sweet, after many years in this location. Their management said the direction the center is going doesn't fit their vision any longer. Such a shame, as retail tenants haven't had much longevity here over its history. Fortunately, the restaurants do better. P.F. Chang's is a rock at the east end of the complex. California Pizza Kitchen seems steady as she goes also at the east end. Both have patios overlooking the beautiful lakes, fountains, and waterfalls, plus the kids' play area. Roses bloom throughout much of the landscape, almost year round. Live music is often presented on the center lawn area, which should encourage diners & shoppers to linger with their families. Am really not sure about Lassen's becoming the major anchor at the west end. To my taste, it doesn't seem like a fit for the overall atmosphere of the center. Sabor is elegant, screamingly upscale price-wise, and appears to be hanging in, adding a patio space for al fresco dining. Who knew?! Hoping the management continues to evolve a winning formula for this lovely addition to central T.O.

Nice little lake to take a stroll

very nice court yard to take a stroll and enjoy a relaxing evening. I highly recommend for a quick stop on a date to enjoy the lake that has coy fish. the restuarants that I noticed were Umami Burger, P.F. Changs, California Pizza Kitchen and a few others. They location also have a market named Lassens. Very cute place to bring the kids to play in the small playground as well.

Although those days are long gone, and many of the stores that made it "premium" are no longer here, it's better than most. There are still some good deals. It's also fairly large so you'll spend a decent amount of time walking through every section. We're usually shopping for something specific -- today it's jeans for the husband. But we always end up with more than planned. :) We browsed through many of the stores, spending much of our time at Lucky Brand, Levi's, Lululemon, adidas, The North Face and Ralph Lauren. We got the best deal on jeans at Levi's and surprisingly found a nice lightweight sweater for him at Lululemon. We like to grab a light snack or drink treat while we shop. Wetzel's Pretzels is a favorite but today we discovered that Boba Time has joined the outlets! Overall, it was a really nice day. I realized when we left that I missed going to Pottery Barn! We'll need to start on that side next time.

JOE'S JEANS & SEVEN FOR ALL MANKIND ARE GONE!…read more I'm really disappointed because I drove down to Camarillo from Santa Barbara to go to Joes jeans and Seven jeans specifically. And yes, I checked the outlet website before I left for hours and it appeared that both stores were active and open. When I arrived, Joes was simply gone. I went over to the kiosk map to check and it was still listed in its usual location. But it had been replaced by another store, Reformation, I believe. An employee of the outlets walked by and said I looked confused and told me the map hadn't been updated in a minute. Disappointed, I then went over to Seven, which was also gone! Replaced by Fabletics, I think. The point is that Joes and Seven are still listed on the outlet website and they are still listed in the on-site kiosks as active stores. Not only am I disappointed that a few of my favorite stores are just gone like that, but I'm especially disappointed at the glaring lack of communication that lead to an entire afternoon being wasted. The outlets otherwise appear to be going down hill. I don't think I'll be back after this.

I cannot imagine a broader range because there are also my old standbys like Macy's and H&M. There is even a Target, for heaven's sake. The interior of the mall is spacious with soaring ceilings that flood it with light. There is extensive parking and there are all kinds of activities and refreshment venues, for dining indoors and out. La La Land Cafe and the ice cream spot are our usual go-to places. Lately, the construction has taken away from the experience a bit, but I am hopeful that once it is finished, things will be even better. I just hope the updates are thoughtful and not simply focused on adding more retail, especially in place of something like the movie theater. It would be great to see additions that truly serve and reflect the community. For example, a fountain with a water show, similar to what you see at the Grove or Americana, would be a strong starting point. People and families already feel overwhelmed by the number of shops, and adding more does not necessarily improve the experience. Take Century City Mall as an example. After its remodel (many years ago) added many more stores, I personally stopped going. As someone who works in marketing, I know the first priority is getting people to visit. If visitors lose interest, as I did with Century City, then adding more shops defeats the purpose. I really hope they do not lose sight of what makes the place special. It would be a shame if short-term decisions ended up hurting the atmosphere that people enjoy.
