I was so happy with the service that I even had my husband and father bring their cars there. Although Sadam moved on, I decided I would continue to be a customer since I was always happy with the service. Oh boy, I quickly learned to regret that decision! I had a vehicle that sat parked outside for just shy of 2 years. I brought it in and explained that to Dave, and told him what issues I knew were wrong (like the water pump and hood release cable). I told him that I needed him to look over the car and get it road worthy. I also noticed what appeared to be mice droppings all over the engine and he assured me that they would check everything out and make sure no wires or anything were chewed. He called me to pick up my vehicle two days after and had done the following repairs: - 1 control arm - New battery - New water pump - New front grill - New release cable Handed me a bill for just over $800 and told me that the car was in pretty good condition for sitting that long outside. I was pretty surprised since it wasn't a smooth drive to their shop or when I left. Fast forward now 4 days later when a terrible noise is coming from the car and the accelerator stops responding while driving out of town. Manage to pull into a gas station to see a huge PUDDLE of fluid collecting under the vehicle. I don't have CAA and I'm not paying for a tow truck to bring it all the way to Tire Depot when I'm in Markham. Thankfully, we were down the street from my husbands work complex, who has a mechanic shop that does my husbands boss's work trucks. He looks at the car and tells me to SCRAP my car and that the previous mentioned repairs from Tire Depot should NEVER have been done, and that they IGNORED a million other problems. The other control arm Struts (at a critical level) Motor mounts Transmission Lines Rotted Transmission pan Rotted Oil Pan Head Gasket That huge pool of liquid under my car that I mentioned when I broke down and pulled into a gas station? All of my transmission fluid. So I called Dave and told him what was going on. How could ALL of this have been missed?! He didn't want to have a conversation about it or even investigate it on his end. This could have been negligence on the mechanics parts, or perhaps even just a training issue. He went from being his friendly self, to completely dismissing the possibility of any wrong doing or oversight on their end. He told me "things can appear fine here and then after you leave they turn bad". He also said "sometimes lines can be so badly rusted that after driving with them a few days they get backed up and blow". My favourite thing he said to me though after I told him the list of problems that the other shop informed me of? "So they say". Parts don't suddenly rust and rot in 4 days. Wow, Dave. Wow. I dropped in to Tire Depot a week or so after to follow up in person. Gave Dave a copy of the invoice to show the work that had been completed by the other guys. After some back and forth with him, he finally said he would look in to it and call me. Guess what? Its been a few weeks now and still no phone call. Tire Depot has not only lost my business going forward, but my husbands and my fathers as well. A shame that I have to leave even 1 star for a business so undeserving. Oh well, lets just say that 1 star belongs to Sadam.

They have a lot of tires. If that's what you're after, they probably have something in stock or can order it at a good price. Don't let the aesthetics put you off; you'll be a happy car owner waiting in an elevator-sized waiting room. Hey, there's a TV in there... somehow.

After the work the car was driving like new. So far so good. About 6 months later, time to change to winter tires, during which I was told that a component of the stuff they repaired in the spring was showing early signs of wear and they would replace it under warranty. I bring the car in for that, and afterwards the car steering seems weird, weird enough that I think it's unsafe to drive. I return but get no resolution. During a conversation a few days later I find out that when they replaced the failing part under warranty they used a part from another manufacturer, and claimed it was better. Perhaps, perhaps not. They replaced it again with a new one from the first manufacturer. The steering is still as weird as before. So the part is not the problem. I finally find out that the mechanic that worked on it in the spring is not the one working on it now. I was basically told to go to another garage to get it fixed. Obviously they don't have a good mechanic any more. What a waste of time.
