A birria Mac and cheese taco?? Who knew it could be so good! This is the epitome of cultures combining to make something so delicious only the melting pot of America could create. I didn't know how I'd feel about this taco before getting it but damn, it's good. The birria is so flavorful and dripping with juices that combine with the Mac and cheese beautifully, all inside a cheese crusted tortilla, a beautiful marriage of flavors and textures you just have to try. read more

Got their Quesabirria with Mac & Cheese because it sounded really unique. Honestly, not worth the price. It was just a small, soggy taco and I couldn't taste the mac & cheese at all. Their birria was pretty good, though. The people working it were very nice, but I don't feel inclined to eat here again. If I did, I would definitely skip the mac & cheese part. The Quesabirria and Quesabirria with Mac and cheese tacos??? It was enough to grab my attention. I checked out Krazy Boys at their pop up at Mira Mesa farmers market. They are not there every week, but have been there a few times. The taco's were made fresh to order and were served hot!!!! The regular Quesabirria taco was my favorite. Crispy, full of meat...all around delicious. The mac and cheese added...not my favorite. It was a unique flavor, but not one that I would associate with birria taco. Price-wise, these taco's were more than I would expect to pay for the portion size, but still what I would expect at a farmers market or street fair. It's worth a try, but not sure that I would race for a second chance. read more

SO GOOD! Had the Quesabirria and Quesabirria with Mac and cheese tacos at their pop up at east village brewery and they are definitely my favorite Birria tacos around! Tacos were made fresh to order and loaded with beef and cheesy goodness! Crispy cheese on the outside and gooey, melted cheese on the inside of those corn tortillas. I could've ordered a side of the Mac and cheese on its own if they had that option as it was quite tasty as well. Staff were friendly. I am certainly a fan and will be scoping out their pop up schedule at the brewery. read more

I first tried Krispy Boyz at a farmers market. I'm super picky about quesabirria tacos and typically only go to a spot in a LA to get them. These ones aren't too mad and are my go to when I can't go to LA. I order the quesabirria tacos and consommé. The first time I had them everything was really good but for some reason the 2nd time wasn't as great. I have a couple theories way that may be but I'm either way the best I've had in San Diego. They are typically at farmers starting at 9am I would suggest don't go to their tent at 9am typically they aren't ready. Try going around 9:30a maybe even later when they've made few tacos and ready to serve. I haven't tried their fried chicken yet but it looks really good. read more

I'm picky when it comes to food, but this blew me away! The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned, while the birria was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Dipping each bite into the rich consomé took it to another level. Every element blended flawlessly, making this a dish I'll definitely be coming back for. The hubby and I took a trip to San Diego and had the opportunity to visit "The Krispy Boyz" stand. We each ordered a Birria Mac N Cheese Taco, but shared a chicken sandwich because the Tacos are VERY Filling. The Taco: Tender, well seasoned Birria with all the fixings, topped with Creamy, flavorful Mac N Cheese, all wrapped in a tortilla. An explosion of flavors that'll make your tastebuds dance with joy. A well executed idea! The Chicken Sandwich: It's moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, seasoned well, and drenched in THE SAUCE! I don't know which one of them created this divine sauce, but they did their thing. If you're in the San Diego area, you have to try them out! I tried The Krispy Boyz Quesabirria taco today at the Civita Park farmers market in Mission Valley and it was delicious! The guy who took my order was very kind and informative and the wait was very short. The taco was delicious, not too salty, and the cheese outside of the taco was so perfectly crispy it added amazing texture and flavor. It's alright. Got their Mac and cheese birria taco and the Mac and cheese was salty. I scraped it off and just ate the birria. The taco shell was crunchy and good. Their customer service sucks. Was 3 of them. 2 kinda just snooted at me. The other smiled and helped but I was already perturbed since spending my $9 for 1 taco and poor service. And the mac and cheese to spoil the taco. Tried at the La Jolla Farmers market. The mac and cheese is a fun addition to a birria taco, but the crispy cheese on the outside of the taco is genius. Extremely delicious, highly recommend. The person who helped me was also extremely friendly and made a convincing argument that I wouldn't be able to find mac and cheese birria tacos anywhere else. Was really excited to order this at the ocean beach farmers market. There was no line & I saw one of the employees cooking a bunch of tacos. I paid & wasn't given a number & thought nothing of it until two people got their orders ahead of me. I noticed that they had ordered after me but didn't really think it was an issue & continued to wait patiently next to the booth. Another order is served & I ask the staff if my order is next to which the staff look at me and say "did you order"? And I politely say yes & repeat what I ordered. He asks me if I have a number and I say no, I was never given one, but I ordered about 15 mins ago. The guy rolls his eyes & mumbles something to the other staff & then says he will take care of it. I feel bad & decide to pull up my bank statement with proof that I ordered & paid & he rolls his eyes again and asks if there is a time stamp on it?? He then waits another 15 mins & finally gives me my one taco which is ice cold. Not a great experience for 1 $10 taco read more

This is one of the best meals I've ever had. I discovered them at the PB farmers market. The Birria Mac n cheese taco is to die for. The meat is super juicy and flavorful, and the Mac n cheese pairs perfectly with it. All of the flavors combined are genius. If they had a restaurant, I would be a regular. 10/10 read more

Look. No. Further. If you see a Krispy Boyz set up STOP and get the queso birria tacos. You ALSO can't pass up trying their birria mac & cheese tacos! You read that right. Their mac & cheese is spectacular on its own... And then they went ahead and threw it in their bomb ass birria tacos. Look them up on Instagram for where they'll be. We show up every Sunday at the Chula Vista Farmers Market but I know they're in PB also. ENJOY. read more

Delicious classic with a new twist! Omg, the queso birria tacos with mac n cheese were ridiculously bomb! Trust me, it'll surprise you in the best way possible! You're first thought might be "Not another chicken spot", but the first bite will change your mind. I spotted a long line at PB Farmer's Market and over heard folks saying how good it was. One guy says he's been coming there every Tuesday just for the Mac n' cheese birria tacos. So I was definitely excited to try this spot...I patiently wait after ordering the chicken sando and the infamous Mac n' cheese birria taco. Both were delicious and I had a hard time picking a fav. I love chicken and so the sando was the winner, but the taco is amazing as well. Support small businesses and more importantly your taste buds...enjoy! read more

Super flavorful, juicy and packed w/ meat. I'm always hesitant to try asada because I haven't found a good spot here in SD, but this one was bomb! The meat had great flavor, a smokey taste and was loaded with guac. I'd order one again. The lengua was perfect too, super tender and fell apart just right. They don't skimp on the meats either. Most of the salsas were tasty and had great flavor and the habanero had the perfect kick ! I heard of this spot because my friend had them cater her baby shower and I had to come try the actual spot. Def brought the same energy. Inside is nice and has a good vibe, love all the decor. Service was super sweet! Horchata was bomb too, not to sweet and they said it's homemade! Parking.. good luck, but def worth trying. 10000/10

However I took mine to go, and it was a mess. It was literally dripping oil from the burrito and made such a mess that I didn't even want to eat the 2nd half after eating the first. To be honest it wasn't very tasty either. I didn't even take a pic of the burrito because I was so focused on it not ruining the counter space in the hotel. It served it's purpose of fueling me, but definitely wouldn't recommend it or go back.

The Al Pastor taco was amazingly juicy packed with flavor grilled to perfection and had a nice char flavor. Also the Carne Asada taco was amazing it was obviously marinated and seasoned very well it had a great sear tons of flavor also it had a smoky flavor and the toppings they put paired so well. Overall this is one of the best restaurants I've dined at in San Diego I will be coming back sometime soon.
