I attended the 3-hr Beginner Cheese Making Workshop- Demonstration Class at Standing Stone Farms…read more The class was taught by Paula in her home. For about the first hour we were seated and she went over the history of cheese, how it was discovered, and how it was cultivated. I found that all pretty interesting! I love cheese, but I'd never really thought about how it came to be, lol. She then proceeded to talk about the process of making cheese and butter. Then we did a little hands on participation activity where we got to make our own "shake" butter, and then sampled it along with some crackers and seasonings. After, Paula started making ricotta and mozzarella cheeses and walked us through the process step by step. This part was not hands on for the attendees, but still pretty cool to watch and informative. When the cheeses were made, we got to help ourselves to plenty of samples! I really enjoyed the fresh ricotta... especially when mixed with fruit and vanilla! Overall, pretty neat experience! I was hoping we'd actually get to make some cheese ourselves, but I at least left with the knowledge on how, and a booklet with directions! This class would be excellent for a date.. especially as it's bring your own wine :)

The short of it is I'll never buy store-bought butter again, and my mother says she'll never buy store-bought Ricota cheese ever again!! The class had a great pace and the size was perfect to be able to fully delve in and learn. Paula has a wealth of knowledge from the history of cheese to Nubian goats and cooking. It was an absolute delight to be there today. The options and possibilities for cheese making are endless and I can't wait to get involved in making my own cheese at home!! Go to their website, check out their cheese classes and supplies and don't miss an opportunity like this. You won't be disappointed!! The step-by-step instructions and the attention to detail are so great and if followed properly cheese making can be achieved---at home!! Thanks again Paula & Standing Stone Farms!! TB & EB

I have never registered here, as I've never been engaged, but sometimes wonder why that should stop…read moreme? Think they'd let me register for my birthday?! I'm only half kidding. This place has gorgeous things! As the other reviews state, it's locally owned, and the Richter sisters (who run the shop) are fabulous. They have beautiful china, jewelry, and other gift options for brides to babies. Everyone I know who has been, or is, engaged, and has a Nashville connection, registers at Corzine's. It's my first stop when shopping for a wedding gift as well. They are online now too which makes it super easy! I still like to go in the store whenever possible though. Service is impeccable, merchandise beautiful, and the whole shop is divine. I highly recommend it for gift shopping--and from the previous reviews, gift registry. Shop local!

After bad experiences at certain other local businesses, I appreciate the professional and friendly…read moreservice I always receive at Corzine's. They are absolutely wonderful and will do everything they can to make sure you are happy. I did most of my wedding registry here, as do most Nashville people I know, and love all the beautiful and unique pieces I chose. Samantha and Ashley Richter are great, as is Jill who helped my mother and I the last couple of times we visited. I live in New York City, so I have to have things shipped, which they are happy to do. Also, I don't make it into town often, and they are very flexible about exchanges. You get a year to exchange and use all your credit from the date of your wedding. Unlike other neighboring registry spots, they didn't bat an eyelash when I returned two items in May 2008 (a month before the deadline). I totally recommend them for your registry!

A really decent selection, especially for an outlet store!! We stopped in on Christmas eve right…read morebefore they closed and Lynette was fabulous, funny, and so helpful. My dad was tickled pink at the stuff she was saying. I loved that she was genuinely helpful with her recommendations and not just trying to sell the costliest items, and I also think she was just a real sweet person. We ended up buying a roasting pan, which was a fantastic discount ($210 instead of $315) , and a small 3.5qt dutch oven at 40% off. Those were holiday sales and won't last through the new year, but I'm glad we caught them anyway. I think in terms of the other stuff, it wasn't the craziest discounts ($2 off here, $3 off there type thing). But I do think that the stuff that has a deal active is usually a pretty hefty deal. Just keep in mind that they don't have all the colorways!

I even complemented her on her hair color (she didn't even respond or say thank you) hoping that would put her in a better mood (I really did like it) so I could ask the questions I needed to ask. Ultimately, I decided to come back later when someone else in a better mood could help me, and as I was walking out the door, she rolled her eyes. She was very cold and very bothered to have to answer my questions. I'm giving two stars because when I was in there last week to buy several pieces, the woman that helped me was incredibly kind and answered my questions with no problem. In fact, she talked me into buying two pieces that totaled over $600 that I had not planned to buy. I think your sales will be much better at this store if you can train Paige not to act like a drill sergeant when customers come in. This was a horrible experience.
