Stay away from Emily Massey!…read more I rented a property from Massey for two years.Emily seemed so nice and professional at the onset, but as soon as I signed the lease things completely changed. We had an agreement about what items would be completed before I moved in (the yard was so overgrown that it unusable, for instance, and the fence was broken and moldy). It took over a YEAR of emails and calls until finally the homeowner fixed the fence himself. I ended up landscaping the yard at my own expense since I wanted to use it. I finally moved out two months ago after buying a house. I told Emily I was moving out the end of March because I had a conflict with the HOA and had to leave (I purchased a commercial vehicle that apparently wasn't allowed by renters even though the homeowners had them in their driveways). I had pleaded with Massey and the HOA to give me more time to find a house after they gave me notice in December, so was excited in January that I finally found one so soon. Emily was extremely unprofessional in the way she handled this situation, and her response to my giving 60 days notice.. she evicted me and said I had to be out by March 15th. Luckily for me Covid happened and I got an extra week, but it was a scramble to get out in time. Then Emily immediately put a lockbox on the empty house and informed me that my lease isn't up until April 30. Huh?!! Apparently she had trouble finding a renter during covid and was trying to make me pay for it. I, of course, refused. Now it's mid-May and she's still sending me bills for April rent, not returning keys (I left them in the mailbox), not taking care of the yard (seriously?), and of course late fees for not paying April rent. AND she refuses to return my deposit. Now we're getting ready to enter small claims court as soon as covid allows, which I am looking forward to. Emily Massey is the most unprofessional, unscrupulous business person in town. Stay away!!

Completely unprofessional at every level especially with Emily Massey. Do not do business with this…read morerealtor. She would not respond to my emails and avoided my phone calls about a property I was interested in. However, I am glad she ignored my calls since it gave me ample time to find her yelp page. These reviews are accurate, and I can't imagine signing with this lady. What a nightmare. Please avoid at all costs.

Before signing ANYTHING with this company you have the right to know their definition of 'excellent…read moreservice'. Your agency agreement is with Long and Foster, the parent company, not the agent representing you. I was told by a Senior VP that I received an 'excellent' service where my agent was (unbeknownst to me) on provisional status and allowed to represent me without supervision. I was 'required' to sign a 6% agency agreement and if I didn't, Fonville/L&f could not submit my offer. I was not allowed to see the property disclosure statement until I signed this 6% agreement, and when I asked if there was anything I should know, my agent remained silent. (The home's defects were removed from the property disclosure, which she was well aware of). Finally, after making my offer, my agent altered my '10% down payment' to show '80% lvt', thus creating forgery in my name. This review will be up until they employ means to remove it, which is their response to factual reviews.

I can't stress enough~ how amazing DEBRA WYNNE is to work with!!!…read more Here is the story... I am an overly attached (ok - hovering) mom of a wonderful 25-year-old daughter. Last year my daughter decided she was ready to purchase her first home. She met Debra, and being the invasive over-protecting mom I am, I had to meet Debra too. My daughter has been working since the age of 16 and is not going to be Debra's biggest sale of the year... quite the contrary. I am positive she may be one of the smallest commissions. But at no point was Debra dismissive or pushy or anything short of exceptional. You see, 2 months into this, I transferred with my job to California and left my daughter to make one of the biggest life's decisions by herself. But she was not alone- Debra treated my daughter with the care that any person would want their loved ones to be treated. She educated her, she was patient with her, and she listened to what my daughter needed and wanted. My daughter needed to make every dollar count. She didn't have a lot of wiggle room. And Debra always treated her like she mattered. It took a while, because my daughter gave some tough parameters, but as a team - they did it!! My daughter got such a great place!! Great neighborhood, good distance to work and fun, within her budget, and the home just feels like it was meant to be. Because of COVID, I was able to come back and help her get settled in. And as the first few months have passed, there has not only been no buyer's remorse- there has been more and more happiness and validation that this was a great decision. We owe so much to Debra! As a mother, I have actually shed a few tears at how thankful I am to have Debra's kindness, keen knowledge and resounding integrity during this time for my daughter. Not only is Debra wonderful- but all the people in her network as well! The mortgage broker (shout out for Franco and Barb Multari) and the staff at Fonville Morisey (Janee- you rock!) all added to what a wonderful experience this has been. Would HIGHLY suggest any of their services!!!!

Ryan helped me find and buy an amazing house, sight unseen, from across the country (my first…read morehouse!). He was helpful, knowledgeable, and appropriately skeptical as we were picking houses to bid on. He knew how to structure offers that were reasonable but strong, given our situation. He guided us through negotiations around inspections and shoring up loose legal ends, and he even helped us with a raw land opportunity that popped up halfway through our purchase. I'd absolutely work with Ryan again, but it went so well I have no reason to for quite some time.

Ryan is awesome! I highly recommend hiring him to be your real estate agent. When my husband and I…read morewere first looking to move to the area I did a quick search for real estate agents on Yelp, Ryan's paged looked great and since it said he responded to Yelp messages typically within an hour (because who wants to pick up a phone?!) I figured I would reach out to see if he had any last minute availability to show us to a few properties and he did. Although Ryan's office is based in Chapel Hill don't let that deter you, we were only looking in Raleigh. He knows all the ins and outs of the Raleigh neighborhoods and can get here quickly when you need him. We went under contract only two weeks after working with him. He uses Patrick with a local home inspection company to do the inspection and he did a thorough job. After the great inspection Ryan said the only thing left he could think of was a metal detector test of the property, since the house was older and there was a small chance of an underground oil tank. We did the test not thinking much of it and turns out there was an underground tank and it had extensively leaked. Ryan and his assistant Karen headed up making all the appointments and getting the right people out there to deal with the issue. Sadly the seller didn't want to really deal with the issue so away that contract went. Since Ryan knew what we were looking for was kind of niche he sent us a property here and there and we kept our eyes open as well. When a house popped up on the market on a Thursday night we text him if he could meet us there the next morning to take a look. He did and we feel in love. We put an offer in that day and started the process all over again. The second time around we worked with Karen a lot and she is great to work with as well. We successfully closed on this house and love where we ended up. An additional note since Ryan works in a group with a few other real estate agents if you need to see a house in a hurry and he isn't available, he will coordinate with someone in his office who is. Team work for the win!

I am sorry to have to write this review for Tony Hall and Associates, but I feel it's important that perspective clients be made aware of a situation that occurred but a few hours ago. I was ready to make an offer on a property being represented by Jaye Kreller, one of Tony Hall's realtors. My realtor from Caldwell Banker, was helping me to purchase a property with the sole intention of renting it out as an investment property. After looking at a few locations, I found one I was very interested in, and it was represented by Tony Hall and Associates. It all came down to whether or not I would be able to legally rent the property as per occupancy rates and rules set forth by the HOA. We told Ms Kreller that I was ready to make a very serious offer, but that I first needed to be assured that it could be rented. This was late Thursday. Ms Kreller made no attempt to find out, something, quite honestly, she should have already known from the day she signed this seller on to be her client. When it became apparent that Ms Kreller had no intentions of finding out what I needed to know, my realtor attempted to contact neighborhood's HOA directly for herself. Unfortunately, she was told they were already closed until Monday morning. This was late Friday. Without giving much thought as to her client's best intentions, and knowing someone else was already interested, Jaye Kreller never bothered to inform the seller that there was another seriously interested buyer. I viewed the property again on Saturday, and we once again told Jaye Kreller that we were going to make a full price offer as soon as we knew that the property could be rented out. Late Sunday afternoon, I received the news that the seller accepted an offer from another buyer, we never got the opportunity to make any offer. Why should all this matter? Because it is obvious that this realtor didn't have her client's best interest at heart. Whether we got into a bidding scenario with another potential buyer and the selling price increased a few thousand dollars more or not, it's obviously she couldn't care. But if it was your property being sold, that extra money would be pretty darn important. I find it hard to believe the seller wouldn't have waited an extra 18 hours and come Monday morning, find out if there were two prospective buyers (much preferred), or only one. What would you rather have? So today (Monday), I very calmly contacted Tony Hall himself to let him know of the situation. My initial thought was not to blame him, especially since how could he be aware of all the actions of his employees, except that when I explained what transpired, it quickly fell on deaf ears. He obviously doesn't care. Is this who you really want representing the sale of possibly your biggest asset? I'd think twice.
