My friends and I come to Walla Walla every year and have enjoyed visiting this bar in the evening. We love the decor and nostalgic feeling. This time, after purchasing two drinks each and singing a couple songs, my friend was yelled at as she went into the bathroom for making a whistle sound for the guy singing. The woman made a huge scene saying we were already told not to do that. I was baffled that she was being treated this way and didn't even hear her make a sound. After we left, this man followed us outside, apologized (not his fault) and told us where another karaoke bar was. He was the only other customer there. This place is filled with sensory overload, and they are concerned with people making noises that, and I quote, are "annoying." If you want to feel free to have a good time, don't want to be treated like a child by disrespectful and blatantly rude staff, and can't decipher if whistling or karaoke is more annoying, don't go here. read more

Super rude staff. We came here with a large group for a friend's birthday. We were the first people in the building! It was empty! So we were the first ones to start off karaoke. The sound system is not that great. The music was super quiet on stage so we asked for it to be turned up so we could hear to do our songs.. didn't happen.. they also tell you you cannot whistle when you get seated at your table. The owner got on the microphone and announced "if you don't have an open tab or aren't buying anymore drinks you need to leave because we are turning people away at the door and we need your space".. the few tables that were in there all looked around at each other in disbelief... and the karaoke guy gets in the mic and starts saying "this is a business" basically for paying customers only.... Which is wild because everyone had bought a drink or two. There was basically two of us out of a 15 person group who weren't drinking... We all got up and walked out... there was NOBODY outside waiting to get in!! The place wasn't even full. As we sat in disbelief talking amongst our group and another the owner proceeds to come outside and again feel the need to tell us that if we weren't actively drinking we didn't need to be in there and it's a business for paying customers only.... Super rude!!! I have never been to any place that had such poor customer service. read more

Hi Nita, we had a blast of a time karaoking at your palace. unfortunately , the rules posted on every last inch of the place were a real turnoff. when we entered, we were told we had to empty all our water bottles .... and we're not told that we would have to then PURCHASE a bottled water from you for almost $3.00 each (great value brand btw). the decor in the palace was a fun throwback ... it's too bad only on Wednesdays you could play the relic games (according to one of the signs). I do appreciate that you didn't kick us out after our loud, fun signing... even when some of us were hollering and "whohooing" during the songs. I'm really glad we didn't break your whistling rule, as we have since read reviews and saw that is a real deal breaker. on that note - we are very curious where the no whistling rule came from. This is the best after hour spot in Walla Walla. Super eclectic feeling . They only serve wine beer and seltzer's - they also serve various snacks like Chinese BBQ Pork ( get this!!!!) hot dogs, nachos - they have snow cones !! There is such a great vibe here and the staff is super friendly salon with the owner Kurt who also does the Karaoke. Designated drivers are not allowed in the establishment unless you purchase a drink. Can't seat on an almost empty building unless you get an overpriced and misleading pricing. You can sing but you're not allowed to sign along or express your enjoyment. Great people! Fun atmosphere! Groovy decor. Flashbacks all around. Also good food with decent prices and clean bathroom. Family friendly too- they have family karaoke Thursday, Friday, Saturdays 4-8 and then regular Karaoke Friday and Saturday nights. read more

We went last night for a few hours to the adult karaoke that starts at 9pm. The atmosphere is fun and laid back! Fast and friendly service, the owner doubles as the karaoke DJ and he has an awesome voice and is awesome at keeping singers in rotation. Will definitely be back! read more

I have been coming to The Karaoke Palace since they opened and I have always had a blast every time! My sister and I love to sing and this is our happy place for sure! Really? For the first time in my life I have been kicked out of a bar. We were 7 of the 10 people in the bar at 9pm and got kicked out for whistling at our own people singing - at a karaoke bar. If I could give them a negative rating I would. Could not even rate the service because we weren't even there long enough to experience more than a couple of beers slammed down on the table before we left. Take your business elsewhere. We went here on a Saturday night and were first greeting at the door where we were told they didn't serve any liquor, but they did have wine, beer, and seltzers -- which we were fine with. We were seated and ordered three "Mad Dragon" wine cocktails for 7.25 each. The drinks are served and they give us a glass with ice and what is quite literally a drink that you can get at any gas station, and was mildly disgusting so we ask for two sprites and some water. They bring out three bottles of water and two 7ups. We weren't feeling the crowd because there was a limited crowd and we were looking for something a little more exciting so we decided to close our tab. The non-itemized receipt comes out for 49.51 which felt HIGH for the amount that we got, and I request an itemized receipt. The two cans of soda were 5.25! each and there was an additional 7.02 service charge listed nowhere on the original receipts given to us (which is about a 14% tip already). Generally felt very skeezy and like a greedy establishment. I don't recommend going. read more
