I started to write this in 2022, and I am finishing it now. We love the free swim time here. The staff is super nice and helpful and you have the pool for your own pups. Wanted to keep this the best kept secret. One of our pups learned swimming here and he even did dive. He sadly passed due to the very aggressive cancer. My only wish - if there was a hose to wash off the chemicals after the swim. Great helpful staff! read more

The K9 Body Shop, PC - Animal Physical Therapy Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

I found the K9 Body Shop after my dog's amputation following an osteosarcoma diagnosis. He absolutely loved going to see Chelsea for his dry needling and much needed swim time with Jennie. They both helped to give Tate amazing care in his final months. I truly can't thank you guys enough! read more

They created a PT treatment plan for my dog. Today we had our first water therapy treatment which she took to well. Instead of surgery for a cruciate ligament tear, I chose to get her a brace and strength training. She seems to like it very much! read more

The work that Tammy & the K( Body Shop has done with our pup that had ACL surgery has been amazing. Highly recommend.

We've been coming here for almost a year now, everyone on staff is great. They're all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We've worked primarily with Chelsea but have had the pleasure of working with other team members in Chelsea's absence.Highly recommend them 8 days a week! read more

This place is amazing. My dog tore her ACL a few years ago and was laboring to even hold herself up after surgery. They were very patient with us, and my dog's anxiety around people. My dog didn't let anyone touch her and still doesn't till this day lol. However they were able to give me clear and specific instructions to help her get back to her normal self. She's back on the mountain going multiple mile hikes and kicking butt!! We still go till this day for the water treadmill, and I tell all my friends and family about them! read more

Folks be very, very, very careful with this place your dog will be injured here! incompetent & uncaring staff their pool does not have a ramp, so it's not really a therapeutic pool I took my 3 dogs there, one of them being a tripod because he is a cancer survivor and they left completely terrified and traumatized. when I asked the attendant, if they had a pool ramp she brings me a ramp for a car and just drops it in front of me does not offer assistance so then I proceeded to do it on my own and try to put the ramp into the pool when she notifies me that its a ramp for a car! folks why would she be bringing me a ramp for a car if she sees me in waders and in the pool ! ‍ very bizarre behavior i left this place reeling ! the staff here is just uncaring & unattentive they don't greet you by your name when you walk in they don't ask if you are first time customer. when I walked in the door for the first time being my first day, they just basically told me it's do it yourself here, and offer no assistance. then when I asked for a refund, the owner tells me that she cannot refund my credit card. She has to send a check to my home which is pretty sketchy because I don't want anyone in this organization to know my address. I honestly think that this owners license needs to be investigated and may be revoked because their practices are very harmful and very disregarding of the customer. If my dogs did not get injured here, somebody else as will. You basically walk in and everybody's just sitting around drinking coffee and gossiping. The front desk person never even looked at me or asked if I needed anything nor greeted my dogs. This is a place for canines right? Does not feel like it at all. It was a complete shit show, and hell hole here. beware!!!! read more

We absolutely LOVE this place and especially Chelsea! She goes above and beyond to help our little Inu girl out with her bad back. We were told 2 years ago Inu would need surgery ... she was shaking because she was in so much pain and would drag her back feet. We consistently bring Inu here and she is back to running around like a wild woman that she is. We are so happy we found them! On top of that, Chelsea does such a great job making K9 a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Inu gets so excited to go! Whenever I tell her we are going to see Chelsea she gives me a head tilt and waits by the door....And then when we get there she pulls to go inside and wags her tail like crazy. We are beyond grateful we found this place!! read more

The therapist who did my dog's assessment was great and very knowledgeable which is why I gave three stars. However, they weren't really practicing correct distancing for COVID and the worst part was that she didn't wait to warm up the water and when she went to put my dog in the 'cold' water, all this black dog hair started floating to the surface- my dog's fur is white. They don't even clean between each client!! I think it's disgusting, especially at the prices they are charging. YUCK!! I gave my dog a bath the moment I got home. read more

This practice features many compassionate and knowledgeable therapists. The facility is also clean. Thank you so much to Jane and everyone else who made contact with my Mogely. While we were only here twice, I can tell the service is nothing short of exceptional. If services are needed for any of my future pets, I will not hesitate to utilize this facility (which is very far from where I live and I pass other PT facilities on the way). Highly recommend! read more

I have a 14 year old Goldendoodle with a slightly torn ACL. Chelsea has been just wonderful with helping get Gus back to his energetic self. He loves the water treadmill and it has worked wonders for him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND K9 BODY SHOP!!! read more

Top-notch treatment for our aging dog who leaps into the car knowing he'll be seeing Tammy and getting the care he needs. So lucky to have found this gem. read more

Everyone is very kind and caring. My pup usually stresses when he's new to situations, but they made him feel at ease and helped him.

Tammy is without a doubt the absolute best thing that has happened to our fuzzy family. She's done PT for at least five of our dogs. She's taken them to a better quality of life that we didn't know was possible after difficult surgeries and injuries common to the Pomeranian breed. We've seen all sizes and breeds at the body shop on their way to health. Above all Tammy cares about the pets and their well being. We appreciate everything she has done and continues to do for our dogs. We can't thank her enough. read more

Very thorough, caring staff. They love their clients, and it shows from your first minute there to your last. We look forward to many more Meeko work outs to come! read more

This place is amazing. The work that they do here changes lives. In December of 2017, my dog (Chelsee) was diagnosed with a partially torn ACL in her right knee and a completely torn left ACL. My vet knew that I couldn't afford the surgery right then, so she referred me to the K9 Body Shop. When I brought Chelsee there in January she couldn't even stand on her own and was in a lot of pain. Now, 6 months later, Chelsee is back to her old self again! She has no trouble getting around, her personality is back and she no longer needs surgery on her right knee. The left still will, when I have the money all saved up. Jane, Jennie and all the other ladies that work here are amazing ! read more

We have been going to the K9 body shop for a few years upon recommendation from our vet. Our senior dog enjoys swimming the most but everything they offer is done professionally with compassion and genuine concern for the welfare of your pet. Boston likes to greet everyone and give them a lick before he dives in and swims in circles for the entire 30 minutes. He has terrible arthritis in his legs and spine - going to the body shop has added years to his life. read more

I highly recommend K9 Body Shop for all of your K9 physical therapy needs. My 9 year old Labrador and I first visited Jane at the recommendation from our local vet nearly 2 years ago, and we have been going back weekly ever since. When we first started going, Tank was barely able to walk and had a mystery bag of problems. Jane and crew has worked side by side with us every week to diagnose and treat him, which undoubtedly has improved his quality of life. He has gained muscle mass, confidence, and is back to jumping on furniture. Jane's thorough and constant diagnoses help us to better understand his changing health care needs. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, honest, and truly caring for every dog I've seen walk through the doors. read more

I am a veterinarian and I would like to give my whole-hearted endorsement to the wonderful work that Tammy does! Simply put - what she does, gets results. I have seen it in my patients and was thrilled to have worked so near by to her in the past. I currently live in Texas, but visited with Tammy again on a recent trip home to Colorado and got to spend time at her beautiful facility! If you have a pet and have considered physical therapy or it has been recommended, then GO. SEE. TAMMY. She is great at what she does and has a soft, kind bed-side manner. read more

I've seen such great results with my dog Mya! The treatments aren't just for post op recovery-they have helped decrease the amount of pain my older dog is in. I didn't want to do medication constantly for the rest of her life but didn't want her to suffer either. I know that her quality of life is better since coming here. This is the place to get quality care for your pet. Everyone is consistently kind and focused on doing their best for Mya. read more

Physical therapy made a world of difference for my dog after two knee surgeries. The surgeries were a year apart on the same knee and after the second one I could see she had lost a lot of strength in that leg and needed a little something extra to fully heal. After a few months of the water treadmill I saw a huge improvement. My dog is feeling like her old self and so much happier! All of the staff at K9 Body Shop are fantastic, they understand all dog types and temperaments and make the experience for your dog very comfortable. She's improved so much that we're close to ending therapy but I would go back to them in a heartbeat if she needs more help. read more

My Lhasa Apso was born with severe hip dysplasia and arthritis, and has been on pain meds for the last five years, but he was getting worse. My vet suggested K-9 for underwater tread mill and massage. We have been going there for over a year, and thanks to Jane, Seamus is stronger and more agile. He loves his massage and he loves Jane. I highly recommend Jane, Tammy and the team at K-9. They are friendly, compassionate and extremely competent, and I'm grateful for all they do for Seamus and me. read more

The K9 body shop is great! Our dog is seeing significant results in just a few short weeks. We've been taking her to the water tank treadmill due to a slipped disk. Chelsey did a full body exam to make sure everything else was doing okay and gave us prescriptive exercises to do at home. The service has been genuine, thorough, and tailored to our pups need. We've had a great experience and recommend the shop 100%! read more

The team at K9Body Shop is amazing. They really care about you and your pet, they are extremely friendly and understanding. Their pricing is extremely reasonable as well. I have been taking my 10-year-old dachshund to see Jane for about 6 months, and she has improved my dogs quality of life. When I started, my dog could barely walk, he was in a lot of pain after a back injury. After a few sessions of the underwater treadmill and Jane's magic touch, he has gotten a new lease on life. Thank you K9 Body Shop for all that you do. read more

I take all my dogs to Tammy for one simple reason, they obviously feel better after they see her. And I recommend her to all my friends who have dogs. As a dog ages -- or if they are regular athletes -- they need physical therapy every bit as much as we do. But it's hard to find someone who can help a dog feel better in a noticeable way. Thankfully, some people just have that gift of healing and it's clear that Tammy does. She uses a few different hands-on methods to help my dogs' aches and pains go away. I can tell they love the way she makes them feel -- they race to greet her, happy and excited and settle right into their treatment, clearly feeling better as she works on them. Their movements are obviously more fluid and comfortable after a visit, so we make sure to visit on a regular schedule. Tammy also has a swimming pool and an underwater treadmill that I make use of whenever I feel that my dogs will benefit from some water therapy. I can't recommend The K9 Body Shop highly enough. read more

We have brought our shepherd to see Tammy and her crew for the past 2+ years starting when I was frustrated with her lack of recovery after a chronic low back (and/or psoas) injury issue. Following extensive work with the water treadmill and hands-on work to release the tension in her low back our happy girl returned to being the playful dog she was before the injury. She's now 11 1/2 years old and we receive compliments from her veterinarian and her ophthalmologist about what great physical shape she's in and how good her back mobility looks compared to other old shepherds. And it's not just the household humans who think this treatment has been a miracle cure...after the initial two visits it was clear to me that Tammy's efforts were providing tangible benefit from the dog's perspective because our girl who doesn't like cuddling or touching became very excited and enthusiastic every time we went to see the K9 Body Shop crew. It's still true today that I can tell our girl we have an appointment with Tammy and I get a happy smile and enthusiastic wags. We go regularly for "tune-ups" and it's well worth the effort seeing how healthy it keeps our girl's spine. read more
