My youngest even met her classmate there so they could get matching piercings together, which made it such a fun and memorable experience for them. Jordan, who did the piercings, was absolutely amazing. My 8-year-old was really nervous and almost had a panic attack, but he was so patient, calm, and attentive. Jungle Zone was my saving grace this week! I've been having some complications with some recent piercings that I got a little over a week ago somewhere else. My flats were irritated and I had suspected possible infection so I went in and Jordan was able to see me right away. He took a quick look and told me that I would need to see a doctor but he still resized me and did what he could to make me comfortable for the time being. Later in the week my new conch was feeling a bit restricted so I went in and Bambi was able to take a look. She resized me to allow room for swelling and it was so much more comfortable. After asking twice, I inquired and he broke it down why my left nostril would be the best side to pierce and why. Jordan is exceptional at his job! Bambi took care of the paperwork and payment. She was friendly (warm) and professional. Nose piercing was $68 (total). No fluff in that price. Jewelry was included. You get a few options to choose from. I'm sad I came here to get my tragus pierced. They insisted I use a ring and told me that despite what I've read online, a ring is the best way to heal a tragus. It's been such a bitch these past few weeks. I posted online to a professional piercing group and they all said the piercer fucked me up by using a ring. I eventually went to another shop and they agreed, a tragus piercing should NEVER be pierced with a ring. It's archaic practices. I got my cartilage pierced in Brooklyn a while back. They used a screw on earring that I just have not been able to remove - I've even asked friends to help! A friend also knew I wanted the piercing to eventually sport a classy gold hoop, which she gifted me for my birthday last year. I've only been able to rock it now, thanks to the help of Jordan at The Jungle Zone. My coworker recommended The Jungle Zone to me because she had a similar situation where she got a piercing somewhere else and needed help ASAP. I'm not one to frequent tattoo / piercing shops so this whole thing was nerve wracking to me. I called the shop, explained my situation and they were more happy to accommodate me. I didn't go in that same day since I just wanted to see if they could help me, so they told me to call again the day I would come in. I came in a week later. Called the morning of and mentioned our initial exchange and Jordan seemed to recall the conversation and was kind to let me know I can come in any time before they start winding down around 4. I came in around 2:30pm and while I was not scheduled in (probably due to the kind of service I went for), the woman at the counter knew I was coming in as Jordan let her know ahead of time. This shows me there's great communication going on here. There was a customer who was scheduled in ahead of me so I sat and waited for probably less than a minute. Once in the back, Jordan took less than 30 seconds to remove the screw on earring. He also let me know the piercing wasn't the best job and that there was a bump that I didn't even know about. He gave me advice to spray witch hazel on it twice a day to help relieve it. I also brought in my hoop earring to see if he could help guide me and he kindly put the earring in himself. My sister and I got our first tattoos here and I have to admit, we were both very nervous. The tattoo artist Kyle was so thorough and explained everything in detail which made my sister and I so comfortable. He was so accommodating and honest which is something you realize you appreciate once you hear his stories of customers experiences elsewhere. The place itself is very clean, nice and really lives up to its "jungle" name, loved the decor! If you're in need of a tattoo or a piercing, I recommend this place 100%, worth the drive and the price was very reasonable. I did a lot of Yelping and found this place because it had the best reviews! Now I know why!! P.S. about the pain (which was an annoying scratching feeling for me), it really depends on your skin and your sensitivity to pain. Kyle has been doing this for more than 10 years and he really understands the science behind the tattoo and how it will take to the different skin types (hydrated, dry, oily, etc).
