10/15/25 PIERCINGS I contacted owner/operator Kala about my pierced ears. I had to remove my simple stud and ring jewelry, I'd had them for 40+ years since the punk rock days, prior to a surgery. After not reinstalling my jewelry for 6+ weeks due to lack of anyone to assist me the holes covered over (slightly) with new skin. Kala said to just come in, no appointment necessary. I went in and he was VERY nice and professional. Kala told me my jewelry was "costume" and that I should replace them with professional titanium versions. I didn't mind paying for new jewelry, I was tired of how hard it was to remove and reinstall the old ones. He fixed me up in no time, for a very low price, for jewelry and service. I cannot recommend a better shop in Las Vegas. read more

Kala is the best piercer ever! He did my septum and was very patient with me. He answered all my questions and was very kind!! I will be coming back to get my other nostril pierced and change my septum. The shop is very nice and clean as well! read more

My experience was amazing.....if I could give 6stars I would. Very clean and sterilize techniques were above bar... he informed me of all the steps and showed me the sterilization strip afterwards before the jewelry was removed before the piercing. He explained and show me where the piercing would work perfectly per my preferences. Lots of jewelry choices and what would work best for the type and location. He also informed me that once the swelling went down to come back for shorter bars. If anything happens or just to check up post piercings to stop in. I got a nose and ear piercing... I would highly recommend Primal Soul .. the decor is very inviting and calming as well....walk in only no appointments taken. He starts at 11:30-6:30pm for piercings..... read more

Kala is the GOAT!! I have been getting pierced by Kala since 2001 in Hilo, HI. I've got tongue, surface bars, tragus, forward helix, conch, neck dermal, spiral helix (I'm probably missing some), and most recently flew from Hilo, HI to Vegas and got a vertical labret. Main reason I will always go to Kala is how sterile he is when piercing. He washed his hands and put new gloves on at least 5x while prepping my vertical labret. He sterilizes jewelry right in front of you using an autoclave. Also, he is very upfront when it comes to his professional opinion if the piercing is possible and/or if it would look nice with your anatomy. After Kala left Hawaii, I made the mistake of getting an Ashley piercing by another piercer in Hilo & just wow, worst experience ever. My bruising was sooooooo bad, Never again! I will make the trip to Vegas just to get pierced by Kala! Mahalo Kala for being the best! Appreciate you! read more

No one compares to him and is the absolute best, I would NEVER go to anyone but him for any piercing ever. read more

100/10 experience‼ Amazing service!! Very very clean!! Kala was very informational and even physically showed us how to clean the piercing. Before he did the actual piercing he looked at the area and showed what would work best for my body. He was also very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get a quality piercing done. read more

Kala has been in the industry for decades and was the go to for body modifications and piercings back in Hilo Hawaii and in the entirety of the 808 area code!! He now has a studio here in Las Vegas and is the best person who won't BS you with piercings, body mods, or aftercare. He's an expert and will let you know if something won't work for you and will suggest an alternative that will allow you to leave his business feeling proud to represent his art and expertise! From simple piercings to more intricate projects; you'll be in excellent company and trusted hands! The vibe of his studio is ultra sanitary, laid back, and chill. Quality of service is top notch. He really takes the time and effort to educate you. He explains everything thoroughly and makes sure you understand everything especially the after care. He's not doing it just for the money but he's doing it cause he loves his craft and really cares about his clients. He only uses authentic titanium and prime class jewelry. I have really sensitive ears and have tried other piercers but nothing could compare to his service and would never trust my piercings to anyone else. His service doesn't stop when your piercings are done, he's always open to help you out if there's any issues or concerns to your piercings afterwards. To sum it all up, he's simply the best! read more

I impulsively decided to get my nose pierced and was looking for businesses in the area and saw his studio had 5 stars and that most people were saying he is very sterile and professional. I called and asked about his shop and got there before he closed. He was super professional and very knowledgeable about any and all kind of piercings. His jewelry was very pretty and all high quality, and he explained how he only has jewelry that is meant to be worn in the human body, and he took the time to explain the metals that aren't good for jewelry. He examined the anatomy of my nose and sterilized EVERYTHING. The piercing itself was so quick and such a small pinch. I will definitely be going back in the future and would 10/10 recommend! read more

Second trip back to Kala. He offers great options and opinions on styling. Finished my right ear today (maybe lol) and will head back for the left ear in a couple weeks. See the pic for the finished (?) style Let me say this piercing palace is run by one man. He wears ALL the hats! It's beautiful inside and everything is sterilized and you can tell he cares about his customers. He's got a welcoming personality and makes you feel comfortable right away for those nervous moments. He talks you through the process and after care. He's been doing this for a long time and you can tell. He's worth the drive he's worth waiting for if he is busy he's worth the weight in gold pretty much. Do NOT waste your time with other shops, this is the place to go for all your extra hole-y needs! I'm not kidding. Go. Like right now. Just do it. read more

My partner and I had a few piercings in mind of what we wanted done but had limited knowledge via the internet. We spoke to Kala about what we were looking to get and he was very straightforward and honest with us about the detriments and long term effects some of the piercings we would get could cause. It really helped us decide what we ended up getting and changed our plans but we are grateful for the honesty and knowledge he shared with us. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and thorough. I've been to several great piercing studios but the quality of his service was truly one of the best experiences I've had to date. The shop is small but very clean and had a cool vibe to it. It's good to keep in mind that this studio is a one-man shop so there might be a bit of a wait to get seen, but it's totally worth the wait. Will definitely be going back again for any future consultations and piercings. read more

Kala is such an amazing person. He really takes pride & shows integrity in his work as he makes sure the the piercing is right for you. I had this sitting in my drafts and forgot to post... So I made the mistake of getting my nose pierced at a well known jewelry/accessory store at my local mall a few months ago. I ended up with a horrible bump and no matter how well I cleaned the piercing, the bump never went away. Then, one morning, I woke up and discovered that my nose stud was gone. Probably because I scratched my nose while asleep. I found the stud but was unable to put it back in. Fast forward a few months, I was in Vegas and decided to contact Kala since I've heard so many wonderful things about him. His response time was quick and I headed off to his shop later that afternoon. Loved the vibe of the shop but most of all his professionalism. He took a look at my old piercing and was able to re-pierce it. He also was helpful in choosing a piece that suited my anatomy. I was impressed by his sterile technique, hand hygiene and site preparation. The actual piercing was quick and as expected a little pain which went away after a few seconds. He also explained the after care very thoroughly. ***update*** It's been almost a year and I haven't had any problems. read more

Kala!! Body piercing expert extraordinaire. 1,000% recommend coming here for any and all piercings. Bittersweet to have him in Vegas now: bitter for my Hawaii ohana :( sweet for my Vegas ohana :). Obviously there's much more options in LV though he's definitely gonna give professionals a run for their money. He was hands down the best piercer in Hilo. Smart with his craft, gives you all the info you need not just what you want, efficient yet patient, precise work, thorough aftercare instructions and most of all CLEAN & TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Hilo. My hubby who owns a tattoo shop there would ONLY recommend his clients to Kala. Now, he doesn't even recommend a backup artist, just says the GOAT is gone. So what's up Vegas! Still sending my friends and everyone here. Support small businesses please :). read more

Best piercing shop in Las Vegas and I haven't even been pierced here. Awesome jewelry selection, I had my pieces changed (pictured) by Kala. He really knows his stuff, is brutally honest, and really does genuinely care about his clients. Best piercing experience I've ever had! He was very knowledgeable and I felt so comfortable getting pierced there! 10/10

Wonderful service! I am obsessed with piercings, so I am always looking to try new piercing shops. Kala, the owner of the shop, is very professional and knowledgeable about body art. The studio is neatly decorated with a charming selection of jewelry displayed at the front. It is walk-in only (first come, first serve), which I find convenient at times when I don't know my upcoming week's schedule. Currently, the shop accepts cash or Zelle for any services. I have been wanting a navel piercing for months and finally decided to one today. After filling out a consent form, I picked an opal jewelry piece that reflects different colors based on the lighting. The piercing room is clean and organized, which is an important aspect to look for when getting any type of body art. Kala makes the piercing process very clear and relaxing. He took the time to center the markings and make sure I liked the placement before proceeding. It was a little more painful than a helix piercing since it is going through a thicker part of the skin. Afterwards, Kala thoroughly explained the aftercare for the piercing to ensure proper healing. I highly recommend visiting his shop if you are looking to get a new piercing or jewelry. I will definitely be back soon! read more

Walking into a clean and welcoming establishment is always the first impression I want. That is just what I got at Primal Soul! Kala, the master ( my opinion) piercer, welcomed me with a huge smile and set me up for my piercing. He had me pick out my jewelry and there were so many pieces to choose from. Before I knew it, the piercing was done and I was walking out with an amazing new addition to my body. The most important item to know is the cleanliness of his establishment and how he keeps everything sterile. He has everything needed to make sure of your after care for your jewelry and gives instructions on how to do it properly. Primal Soul is a fairly new piercing studio in the Las Vegas valley, but the owner of this studio is a long standing veteran in the body art industry. With a career spanning over 2 decades, the owner Kala is as knowledgeable about his craft as anyone could get. I came in for a nostril piercing but got much more from this experience. The ambience is calm and welcoming and showcases art and history of body piercing from a variety of cultures, as well as a multitude of beautiful jewelry. Kala does make his own jewelry, but I didn't get to ask if any of his creations were also on display (I'm assuming they are!) The room where the piercing took place was organized and very clean, and he is very professional with making sure his customers are satisfied 100% with the placement and appearance of their piercing. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Overall my experience was great, Kala is a great artist and an awesome person! If you're in the need for piercings and body art do not hesitate to give Primal Soul a try. And if you are visiting Las Vegas and are looking to get work done, ditch the overpriced and vapid studios on the strip and make your way out to Primal Soul. You'll be glad you did. read more

Kala is amazing at what he does and is incredibly kind! I came with a friend after a horrible experience with a different "piercer". He also have beautiful jewelry, some of which he makes and designs himself. I will always recommend this place to everyone I know and I cannot wait to come back again once my piercings heal. We went on a family trip to Las Vegas from Hawaii to celebrate our daughter and her boyfriends 21st birthday. She really wanted to get piercings done but did not want to go to anyone from where we are from in Hilo, HI. I also didn't trust anyone in Hilo because I got my nose pierced and belly button pierced from Kala when I was younger. I only trusted him. We made it a must stop before heading back to Hilo, Hawaii, to get our piercings done. I originally wanted to get a flat helix done, but due to the shaping of my ear, he didn't recommend it. I ended up getting a tragus (which i also always wanted to do). He is extremely knowledgeable with over 2 decades of experience and is passionate about his craft. He takes cleanliness to another level. Don't let his looks fool you. Your experience with him from start to finish will leave you in awe and you won't regret going to him! read more
