10/15/25 PIERCINGS I contacted owner/operator Kala about my pierced ears. I had to remove my simple stud and ring jewelry, I'd had them for 40+ years since the punk rock days, prior to a surgery. After not reinstalling my jewelry for 6+ weeks due to lack of anyone to assist me the holes covered over (slightly) with new skin. Kala said to just come in, no appointment necessary. I went in and he was VERY nice and professional. Kala told me my jewelry was "costume" and that I should replace them with professional titanium versions. I didn't mind paying for new jewelry, I was tired of how hard it was to remove and reinstall the old ones. He fixed me up in no time, for a very low price, for jewelry and service. I cannot recommend a better shop in Las Vegas. read more

Kala is the GOAT!! I have been getting pierced by Kala since 2001 in Hilo, HI. I've got tongue, surface bars, tragus, forward helix, conch, neck dermal, spiral helix (I'm probably missing some), and most recently flew from Hilo, HI to Vegas and got a vertical labret. Main reason I will always go to Kala is how sterile he is when piercing. He washed his hands and put new gloves on at least 5x while prepping my vertical labret. He sterilizes jewelry right in front of you using an autoclave. Also, he is very upfront when it comes to his professional opinion if the piercing is possible and/or if it would look nice with your anatomy. After Kala left Hawaii, I made the mistake of getting an Ashley piercing by another piercer in Hilo & just wow, worst experience ever. My bruising was sooooooo bad, Never again! My experience was amazing.....if I could give 6stars I would. Very clean and sterilize techniques were above bar... he informed me of all the steps and showed me the sterilization strip afterwards before the jewelry was removed before the piercing. He explained and show me where the piercing would work perfectly per my preferences. Lots of jewelry choices and what would work best for the type and location. I had this sitting in my drafts and forgot to post... So I made the mistake of getting my nose pierced at a well known jewelry/accessory store at my local mall a few months ago. I ended up with a horrible bump and no matter how well I cleaned the piercing, the bump never went away. Then, one morning, I woke up and discovered that my nose stud was gone. Probably because I scratched my nose while asleep. I found the stud but was unable to put it back in. Fast forward a few months, I was in Vegas and decided to contact Kala since I've heard so many wonderful things about him. His response time was quick and I headed off to his shop later that afternoon. Loved the vibe of the shop but most of all his professionalism. He took a look at my old piercing and was able to re-pierce it. He also was helpful in choosing a piece that suited my anatomy. After filling out a consent form, I picked an opal jewelry piece that reflects different colors based on the lighting. The piercing room is clean and organized, which is an important aspect to look for when getting any type of body art. Kala makes the piercing process very clear and relaxing. He took the time to center the markings and make sure I liked the placement before proceeding. It was a little more painful than a helix piercing since it is going through a thicker part of the skin. Primal Soul is a fairly new piercing studio in the Las Vegas valley, but the owner of this studio is a long standing veteran in the body art industry. With a career spanning over 2 decades, the owner Kala is as knowledgeable about his craft as anyone could get. I came in for a nostril piercing but got much more from this experience. The ambience is calm and welcoming and showcases art and history of body piercing from a variety of cultures, as well as a multitude of beautiful jewelry. Kala does make his own jewelry, but I didn't get to ask if any of his creations were also on display (I'm assuming they are!) The room where the piercing took place was organized and very clean, and he is very professional with making sure his customers are satisfied 100% with the placement and appearance of their piercing. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Overall my experience was great, Kala is a great artist and an awesome person!
