But now they've outright *refused service* and tried to redirect me to a completely different doctor I've never asked for, instead of the one I've trusted and preferred for years. This isn't just poor customer service--it's blatant disregard for patient loyalty and continuity of care. You don't get to cherry-pick who you serve when it's inconvenient, especially after taking my business and trust for so long. This place is a joke! Me and my daughter went in to get adjusted. The young lady at the front desk says to me I see you have done paperwork here but was never seen and since that was 2 yrs ago you will have to do paperwork again. I said ok. We waited for about 45 minutes. It was VERY HOT. The Dr touches my back and says I can tell you have arthritis in your back and I'm not sure how much help I can give you today. You'll have to come back at least 5 more times to feel better. He popped my neck and sent me on my way. I go to the front to pay the $29 as advertised for new patients. She informs me at that point I will be charged the $39 instead of $29 since I did paperwork 2 yrs ago. She said there was nothing she could do even though I was never seen until that day. After first visit you are hit pretty pretty ok financially, and then your second visit is go there sit here take your wallet keys, and lay crick crack bye bye. I had been putting off going to the chiropractor for about a month and finally nerved up to try The Joint in Round Rock because of all the good reviews. I will not put off visiting in future. I was able to walk right in, the nice front desk lady took my information, and Dr. Lara was fantastic. Because of the shape I was in she had to do something pretty ouchy to my hips, but she warned me in advance and checked in to make sure I was holding up OK during the ouchy part, and I felt much better as soon as she was done. I was recommended to come in twice a week (my hips and back are pretty messed up) but when I mentioned that I can't afford to come in that often there was no hard sell or implication that I should somehow magically find the money. Instead I was given completely pressure-free information on the available discount packages, had some stretch and home care instructions sent to me by email, and encouraged to come in when I can. I will definitely do this - I feel much better and suspect that if I'd gone in at the first sign of trouble would be perfectly fine now. As it is I feel significantly better. So, if you're doubting or holding back - don't. Go in NOW. Also, for other large-scale folks out there, Dr. Lara was fantastic and did not make me feel like Godzilla even a little bit. read more

Being a big guy, I've generally always had a preference/bias towards big, strong chiropractors who could get a lot of movement. So the first time I went to Dr. Le, I was I a bit leary. Also, she uses an activator, which I wasn't particularly a fan of...at first. Well, I got over my biases pretty quickly, because every time she's adjusted me, I feel amazing afterwards. She pays attention to details. I particularly like her attention to checking your symmetry in the legs and adjusting accordingly. I swear I felt like 2 inches taller after my last adjustment! Every doctor I've had at any of The Joint locations (I've visited 3 in Austin), I've had good results with, but I especially like Dr. Le -- highly recommended. Also, they don't really promote it heavily on their sites -- they really want to get you on one of the monthly plans -- but you can buy blocks of like 10 visits for I think $200 or so, that you can use any time. That makes it very affordable, even if you don't go very regularly. read more

I have a chronic pain from a neck injury and Fibromyalgia. I am suppose to receive weekly adjustments to help the pain. However, it is very difficult to take off during the day for this. The Joint's extended and weekend hours allow for me to stay on my physical therapy track. I might also mention that I have been to several chiropractors in the Austin area and only a few are able to adjust my neck. It seems that most doctors are hesitant to adjust me because I am petite. However, I require and prefer an aggressive adjustment. Otherwise, my neck just becomes sore from the attempts. Dr. Ginger at the RR location was not at all hesitant to adjust me. And, when she could not get it the first time, she tried again instead of just giving up like the other doctors. I highly recommend this place. read more

My initial visit was great. My issue was the fact that i apparently signed up for a monthly membership i did not authorize. I got a call 2 months later asking me why i wasnt using my adjustments... I told them cause i only had a few and i wanted to save them for when im in pain. This is when i was informed that they had been charging me 3 months now on the credit card that i only use for emergency. I went in to cancel the membership immediately. I asked for a copy of the agreement plan that i had signed which i was under the assumption that i was signed up for a package not a membership because i specifically told the girl DID NOT WANT A MEMBERSHIP cause i wasn't going to use it. She said no problem just inital the spots and she'll full out the rest. When i got my copy NoTHiNG was filled out on it to authorize any type of charge. When i cancelled i asked if i was going to get a refund. The girl told me the best i was going to get is 4 free adjustments. Ive emailed them asking for 3 months of $69 ($207) refund and sent them my BLANK NOT FILLED OUT PAPERWORK by their staff and nothing. This place is bs. read more

Didn't have time to go back and use the service. Tried to cancel it by calling, when someone finally picked up and found out I was calling to cancel, they put me on hold - after six minutes of waiting. I emailed to cancel. Got a reply, I had to turn in a form. Drove to the office to turn in the form. They billed me for Feb. because I tried to cancel on the 31st of Jan and they said had to cancel by the 30th. A place that valued customers wouldn't charge me for Feb. I paid for two months for a single visit. Terrible customer service. read more

I feel very lucky to have given The Joint on 79 Hwy. in Round Rock TX the chance to align my back. Their program is great, $69 a month and you get 4 visits ($10 each additional visit). The stress I have in my world today melt away every time I go in. I have seen both Dr. Knot and Dr. Le and you couldn't find 2 better caring and understanding Chiropractors on the planet. There are no x-rays and long term recovery visits. You go or don't go. I have always wanted to be able to go to the chiropractor once a week and never could afford it. Now I have never been so happy to walk across a parking lot in all my days. They are just the best. I try to see Dr. Knot every other week and Dr. Le every other week. I just saw Dr. Lara, I think she's there Thursday-Sunday now, and I haven't felt this good in many years. I went in with a migraine and she pressed on my brow and did the clicky thing on my shoulder. Not only did my headache go away, but I haven't been that clearheaded and focused afterwards in years, bonus! Also, after I got an adjustment for my lower back/hip pain I felt no pain which was kind of crazy. One thing I noticed is that she was able to put a lot of power into my adjustment which was nice, I'm a big guy and there's a lot of fat and muscle layers to get through on me. Be careful which doctor you see! I went in with neck problems. The doctor I saw is a very aggressive adjuster and he adjusted one of my shoulders and I immediately got pain down my arm. It lessened for a few minutes but, by the time I got home, I was in a lot of pain. I went back two days later to a different doctor. She had to adjust me very gently as I was in a lot of pain and could not even take a deep breath. I have since gotten 3 more adjustments from her. I was much better but, two weeks later, I am almost all healed. I have had adjustments many times before throughout the years and have never been hurt so badly. The bad thing is my husband is upset because we had to pay for all the adjustments to correct the problem. 11/19/14 **update** Still having pain so I went to my family doctor. He took x-rays and found that I have two cracked ribs. I have told one of the owners so that they would be aware. No compensation for my bills was offered. Dr. Le is one of the best chiropractors I've been to. She was at The Joint in the Arboretum but moved to Round Rock. After I went through months of pain with a pinched nerve in the neck, and worked with chiropractors and physical therapists, I finally drove up from Austin to visit Dr. Le and had immense relief after one visit. I now drive to Round Rock first when I need to visit a chiropractor because I just haven't found anyone else who understands the body and pain issues as well. I have not experienced any hard sells on plans at The Joint locations I've been to. Just thought I'd mention that as I see other people have mentioned it in their reviews. My first visit was today. After being totally disappointed by The Rock Chiropractic, but I'm thankful they pushed me away. I was so pleased with Dr. Le and her advanced knowledge of not only spine manipulation, but myofascial release too. I had severe sciatic pain causing extreme muscle cramps. She spent a good amount of time working out all the pain that I had. She told me some of the stretches that I was told to do by Rock Chiropractic were actually causing more pain. She advised me on the how, when, and why my specific injury needs in order to recover. Here they want you to recover. I'm beginning to think other chiropractors don't want recovery because that means no more money. Talk about more for your money! Ka-Ching. Love that. I would gladly pay the $50 to The Joint instead of The Rock. But, instead they charge a modest $29 per visit or you can buy a block of 10 or 15, etc. Which comes to $20 per visit.
