Me: Chronic pain in upper back, chest, neck, arms, head, led me into a depressed state and overall inability to move comfortably. Before Dr. Shepard, I saw another chiro for a year, with no improvement. Dr. Shepard's office took x-rays at my first visit so he could see what was going on inside (previous chiro did not do this). Long story shortened, I had a 'complicated' case that was not alleviated by simply going in for adjustments. In fact, I was rarely adjusted on my visits. Dr. Shepard and I worked together to identify what was causing my issue. It took about 9 months, and trying various techniques to find out how my body responded, but I had spiraled into my painful state over the course of 2 years, so was willing to put in the time to climb back out. If it were not for Dr. Shepard's tenacity in helping me, us talking a lot together about all aspects of my lifestyle that could be affecting my issue, his knowledge and experience in the body systems, and me 'doing the homework', I would still be in pain. I have been pain free now for several months, and back to exercising and living an active life.
