I have the Joint membership which is a great deal because of all the locations they have. However not all chiropractors and locations are created equal. Some just do a quick adjustment and kick you out. If you don't feel well then doesn't matter to them. The 5 stars is for Dr. Otis Perkins who really helps me with my back issues and goes into detail on ways I can improve my back health. He's able to work on the pain areas in my upper back and trying to help explain things to me in a wholistic view. It's worth coming to this location when Dr. Otis Perkins is working! read more

Dr. Jeffrey Goodwiin refused to provide chiropractic treatment because, as he said, he didn't "feel comfortable" treating me. I asked him to provide a reason. He said he didn't need to disclose his reason for refusing to provide treatment. I have been a patient of The Joint since 2016. I have visited offices in other cities during my travels. No one has ever refused to provide chiropractic treatment for personal reasons. I am deeply offended. Immediately afterwards, I went to another location, The Joint at Northwest Highway and I-75. I was adjusted by the chiropractor without a problem. Jeffrey Goodwin never stated that there was a medical concern and if he believed there was a health issue that would have prevented him from making an adjustment, he should have discussed it with me. The waiting area is quiet with water available, and you can check in with your key fob on a scanner at the front desk. All of the doctors are good, and so far all have made a point to ask about my general health, any problems I might be having, and past injuries. Dr Troy and Dr Sharon are no longer at this location. They have both been gone for almost 2 years. I went for an adjustment and the chiropractor was standing at the door with her coat on saying she was going home to have dinner with her family and not doing any more adjustments. The worst experience ever! Today was my first visit to The Joint. The receptionist was not there when I arrived, so I met Dr. James directly. That was the only time I saw a smile on his face. After I filled out the form, he took me to the "back" space. And the entire place was full of a weird smell of food. The doctor was ever chewing when he was talking to me, maybe he just finished his lunch. Then we started to talk. I told him I had lower back pain and rated that as 6 out of 10. This number really drew his attention. WITHOUT ANY DIAGNOSIS, he gave me a lecture of how it should be a long process and can't be fixed at one visit. That is fine. I total got it since 6 out of 10 sound like a severe problem. Then he asked me whether I had an X-ray before and I said yes. I told him there is no issue with my bone. Later on, he said I won't give you any adjustment today without an X-ray. I was like....Come on. You didn't even take a look at my back issue. Then you wanna directly jump to adjustment? Anyway, I know taking an X-ray would be good for me. So I am down for it. Then I was asking the location of the place where I will have my X-ray. I asked whether it's in Dallas downtown cuz I saw the county on the address is Dallas. Then he told me: I am not sure. Here is the address. You can google it??????? As a doctor, you don't know the place where you refer patients to? The answer is YES. He told me I can get an X-ray done by today. The fact is when I got there, they were about to close and they are not doing X-ray anymore on weekends. AGAIN, THERE IS NOT SMILE ON HIS FACE DURING THE WHOLE CONVERSATION. However, when someone else came in, he became talkative and friendly. In addition, the doctor himself seems like very "sensitive" to price. When he was writing the prescription for my X-ray, I asked him several questions about the price and insurance. I haven't finished my words, he said we don't take insurance. I wasn't even asking your place. I was asking about the X-ray place. Anyway, I don't like the way he talk to me. And I wouldn't recommend anybody go to this location. Nothing against the Joint as a company or business but I will not be returning there. I will be going to the Preston Royal location. At least, the Preston Royal location is respectful of my wishes. Alyssa, while I understand that Florida was my Home clinic, I had been going to this location for MONTHS. I cancelled the membership with an employee at the Lincoln park location (not knowing I had to cancel at my "Home clinic") and she not only handed me the cancellation form, she accepted it, and uploaded it to my file. Your employee failed to tell me or notify me that I had to cancel at my home clinic. She also failed to notify my Home clinic of what had happened. After four months of being billed, I finally realized it and contacted the INCREDIBLE helpful employee named Hayley. She magically was able to call my home clinic and poof, your clinical managed to cancel my membership. I had to call Hayley who thanked me every single time for how I've remained calm and handled a situation that I had no control over. Instead of blaming a customer of two years, how about taking fault that YOUR employee took a cancellation form, uploaded it, and didn't notify me nor my Home clinic. I honestly was surprised this location only had a C- on BBB because it should be much lower. After reading through Casey Barkley's numerous civil lawsuits that all have one thing in common... that he continued to bill customers after they cancelled their membership and refused to repay them. I wish I could give negative stars. I went into this location, the two other patients waiting Said they had been waiting for a very long time and were quite irritated. I waited why Dr. James McDonald talked to one patient for 20 min about the weather, his job, stretching other pointless nonsense. He finally filtered through the other patients. And as I walk back there and explain to him my jaw was popped out of place, he very rudely informed me he didn't do those types of adjustments. I'm still confused on how he had a chiropractic license if he can't do those adjustments. I've had my jaw adjusted multiple times. Thank you for waisting my valuable time. UPDATE!! Dr Troy at the Joint Lincoln Park is the nicest man I've ever met. He is also a very thorough chiropractor and will try to go through all the steps with you. Never have I felt rushed or frustrated by Dr Troy. There are times that since Dr Troy is so thorough with all his patients that I have to time my visits in a way that I know there isn't a rush. Avoid lunch visits during the weekday if you're on a tight schedule - a few times I've had to cancel my appointment during lunch and just come back after work so that I wouldn't be restrained and/or in a rush on my own terms. However, if you tell Dr Troy that you need to hop on out promptly, you can definitely do so and he'll oblige. The staff here is definitely on top of everything and they went above and beyond when I needed to have extra documentation for some funding reimbursements on my end. read more
