I have been dealing with lower back pain for a while now. I thought I could locate a place that took my health insurance but that is nearly impossible so this place was referred to me by a family member. However, they do take HSA/FSA so that was a plus for me. I walked in, completed the necessary paperwork, spoke to the doctor about my issues, she examined my back, cracked my back with her hand and relieve some of the tension in certain areas; next thing I know, I stood up and my back pain wasn't noticeable there. I was sold. I agreed to a monthly package just to make sure my back can be on the road to full recovery. I previously went to a few chiropractors due to car accidents in the past so I assumed an X-ray was part of the exam but they don't do that here. It's not a big issue for me but just an FYI for anyone else. This location is convenient for me but parking was a little tight and scarce. The visit does not last long at all so you will be in an out. Making an appointment is not necessary. read more

NO NO NO! Came here because my usual practice was closed. Was sweet talked into a membership. Gonna pay it out just because my word is my bond. 2nd visit and I was seen my a man that came in and was extremely rough on me. Got up off the table and was going to walk out. He called someone else in who was a little more gental. He told me I was going to be sore and I am. I iced all day off and on. Did stretches, took pain meds and a couple of muscle relaxers. Overall, my back and sciatica is way worse than when I went in originally. Going back to my regular practice tomorrow. I can't even get comfortable to sleep. DONT DO IT! read more

Went here with a friend after complaining to each other about our body aches. The location is easy to access, and conveniently located in a plaza with several other stores. The office was clean and neat. The guy who worked on us told each of us that we had all of the exact same alignment issues. I'm a 5'4 active female who's on my feet for 12+ hours of work. My friend is a taller male who isn't active and spends most of his workday sitting or lifting heavy objects. We were both immediately skeptical. The guy gave us the same adjustment. First off, I want to say I rarely do reviews and wish I had just said something while I was there but I have a feeling it would have been met with a blank stare. The office is easy to get to and clean. Easy to get in for an appointment. I had never been to that office and will admit I don't get chiropractic regularly, something I got the feeling really irritated the doctor. I met with Dr. Barrett and she was condescending from the minute I walked in. Not personable at all (I'd like to feel welcome when you're about to adjust my spine). I could go on but I'm certain the details don't matter, but if you are a little nervous about chiropractic or just don't like giving your money to people who give the impression you are a bother, then go to a different doctor there or pick another office. Really impressed with Dr. Boyd. I have been going to Chiropractors for 34 years, so I am a bit of a professional cynic, and Dr. Boyd took care of some acute, excruciating pain on the spot, with some great analysis of the reason for the pain, and some non-chiro solutions for the maintenance of the pain until I can get loose enough for further adjustments. Really impressed, and that is hard to do with me. read more

Dr. Garrett and Alecia...the two of them combined are what sonnets are made of. Dr. G is the Billy Bob to my Halle Berry, he just makes me feel good. He is there Monday to Friday and after learning literally the hard way wouldn't get treated by anyone but him. Alecia has to be the most pleasant person I've ever met, she could teach me a thing or two. Dr. Garrett listens and has a remedy for everything chiro related. I wrote a review previously about the weekend doctor and his attempt to sever my neck from my body but that isn't fair nor does it represent the treatment I've received from The Joint...just don't go on Sundays because Dr. Garrett isn't there and you've been warned. read more

Was suffering from major pain due to an exercise issue. Dr. Boyd was amazing! He explained what was happening in the problem area and worked some type of magic. I walked in not being able to look from side to side but I left with full motion and little to no more pain. They rope you in with a membership, then make it hard for you to cancel. I finally come in to cancel in person because of the run around I was getting and they tell me they will still charge me for 30 days after the cancellation. They apologized and said that was their policy. I of course being mad started explaining how ludicrous that is. I mean I came in to cancel to stop from being charged now to get an addtl one. She waived the fee saying they could do that, with attitude in her voice. Well maybe she should have done that first before?! That's customer service.... so I've been going to the joint buckhead for about a year and a half now and I gotta say IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY... I went for an adjustment in February and got sweet talked into a membership. While the adjustments occasionally helped I found my work schedule didn't work with their hours. I tried multiple times to cancel my membership but was told I had to come into the office to make any changes. There is not a way to do it through their website and I couldn't come in because I work 12+ hours a day. I tried to call and cancel before the end of September but was told the couldn't help me unless I came in. I finally had a day off when they were open to cancel my account. Two weeks later my card was charged again because I have to give them 30 days notice. I repeatedly ask for a refund and was repeatedly told that's not their policy. This place cares only about every penny they squeeze out of you and it cost them my membership. If you have joint issues I suggest going to a real chiropractor and not this strip mall imitation that is only out to make a buck and cares nothing about customer service. read more
