I got my initial month to month membership at this location in late 2022 I think. Before that I had a long standing relationship with a chiropractor in Seattle who has seen me a few times since whenever I'm up there I try to get an adjustment. His care is incredible. The Joint seemed decent for mild adjustments, but the fast food health care style made me wonder if you were truly getting the best since different people could be seeing you, but you had the convenience factor of multiple locations. I would like to reiterate CONVENIENCE factor - is a huge draw to the business model - hence fast food health care. I've had a pain in my back for a few days and thought - I'm going to go take advantage of my pre-established relationship with The Joint for a quick adjustment. I walked in and a gentlemen was in right before me. He was a new patient and the lady behind the desk was explaining some stuff to him about the mountain of paperwork she was giving him. She said something about some people not being able to see well, I don't know if she was referring to the iPad option, but I sort of cringed - like why say that to someone - let them tell you if they are having a hard time seeing well. Boy was I in for a surprise myself after he abandoned his paperwork and left. I had my membership card still on my keys and so I scanned it, assuming that maybe I'd need to update some information. My address has changed, I am paying cash, and my health information hasn't changed much. She goes on to tell me that since it's been more than a year I now get to fill out the mountain of paperwork, and she also hands me the clipboard the gentlemen just abandoned to me. It's so laughable. You can't copy paste in your computer? You can't print out my old information and we can just submit that as the new paperwork? I can understand there being stupid policies, but why not be ready for some out of the box ways to solve the problem. Nope. I saw they wanted everything - it's like I'm a brand new customer again. Forget it. Stupid polices? Stupid 1 star reviews. Skip this fast food health care wannabe simply over their stupidity at retaining customers, AND scaring one away. This location always has excellent staff, service and is worthy of a longer drive to get all straighten out.

I really like this location. It's in the same parking lot as TJs so I try and time when I come here to pick up anything at TJs and get adjusted. But I find I've been coming here more than the HD location lately regardless if I need more veggies. Lol. Drs Mitch and Ashley are awesome. They have different styles of adjusting but both really effective. I enjoy the switch up. Their team is usually really efficient even if there is only one doc working the floor. They have a way of checking in to see what's going on without feeling rushed, and still keep up the momentum on busy days. Highly recommend the location as well as their maintenance packages. Getting regular adjustments have lots of benefits including allergy relief and headache relief (my two noticeable issues that are positive side effects of regular adjustments). Can't say enough positives about this location and team. Give them a try! Ohhhh. One last thing. Just an fyi. The cubbies are to hold your stuff while you get adjusted. It's an 8 square cube situation with 4 cubbies across (doubled layered). There's also 4 tables. Match your vertical cubbies with your table you'll be using. Not sure why that's difficult for people to wrap their head around this concept. Just stating the obvious to help any newbies. Lol it makes my ocd eyes twitch when I see folks picking anywhere to leave their stuff. read more

This was not a one time incident, which makes this more serious. You can see in comments that this has been a problem for more than one customer. This issue is what I would actually dread about going into this location. I only know one of two ways to rectify this type of occurrence and it can't be done through a fluffy email. I have chosen the only option I can control - and that is to NOT do business with The Joint. I went to the Joint to fix a pain in my hip. I left there after the 4th visit with extreme pain in my back. It seems that one of the doctors adjusted me to the point of putting one of my ribs out. It is extremely painful. I do not wish this pain on anyone. It hurts to cough, sneeze, blow my nose, lay down to sleep, exercise, or carry out many of my daily activities. I am not seeing a real chiropractor who suggested that I ice it, not heat like the Joint doc said, and he gave me a stretch to do to keep my ribs in the right place. Appoints generally last 15-20 minutes. They focus on the problem area that is bothering you. All the staff I have interacted with have been kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable. read more

I guess I should have read reviews before coming here back in February. I hurt my back at the end of January and decided to come here for an adjustment because it was close to my home. Dr. Ashley was so nice and so friendly and I felt like she actually cared about the patients... Nut the customer service is horrible. There is 1 specific front desk lady (bigger, older) who is rude and pushy and obviously only cares about taking your money. She's probably the person getting all the complaints in these reviews. I went there just for adjustments and she basically just adds you to the plan with how pushy she is. I told her I didn't think I'd need to come there for more than a few times and said the plan automatically goes for 2 months and that she would "note my acct". I locked my card for this reason because I felt like I was going to get charged, and sure enough, I got emails saying they tried charging my card. Multiple times in 1 day. So I emailed and called and had them cancel. Horrible place. If you need adjustments, go elsewhere! read more

Had my first visit today with dr Sherman. I was excitedly nervous and had no idea what to expect. Once I was checked in there ended up being a long line behind me which gave me anxiety as I didn't want to feel like the dr was rushing or feeling overwhelmed over the long wait. I was grateful Dr Sherman was able to help me relax and laugh with me ( ok also at me ) when I was feeling awkward. I will definitely be back and am excited to finally have some of the pain I've been carrying under control. I'm giving 1 star solely based on the front desk lady. She is extremely rude anytime I come in quickly pointing to her face to signal me to put a mask on. I don't carry masks on me anymore so I had asked her for one. She told me "I will not be providing you masks anymore and you won't be able to be seen." Mind you, I only go to this location about once every 2 months, so it's not like I'm taking all their masks. I was about to walk out but then she pulled out a mask for me and said "next time, I won't give you one. You need to save this for next time". Now, aren't paper masks only supposed to be worn once? If she was so concerned about COVID she would gladly give out fresh masks to prevent the spread. She also told me that they can't keep the masks in stock, which is totally false. I've never had any problem at any other medical facility providing a mask for me. I go out of my way to be seen by Dr. Maurice at the Hazel Dell location. The care I received was great - the front office staff - Danyle - is rude and nasty. I'm giving 1 star solely based on her. Apparently you are automatically signed up for a membership. All she could do is repeatedly say, "did you the read the contract?" If she would have mentioned it to me at the time of the visit, I would have not signed up for anything - I would have just paid as I went. I was under the impression that once my 4 visits were used, I would not be charged again unless I decided on paying for another 4 visit package. When I noticed the charge and called the office the woman said that it was automatic and that there would be no refund. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford it. She got snarky and was rude, then accused me of the same - I want my money refunded!!! today!!! They charged me for four 4 visit packages of which I only used one 4 visit package - so charged for 12 visits I did not use. So they were paid for care that was not given. I suggest that they replace this person - her customer service skills are sadly lacking as is her ability to communicate important info regarding future charges. Apparently she's OK with taking money from a senior citizen and be rude as well. Not to mention the fact that there was no follow up as to why I was not coming in. I will not recommend this office ever again because of her, and from what I am reading, there are other people that think the same with similar experiences. It's a shame because I really liked the doctors that provided the care. If I get my money back - the $267.00 they owe me, I would reconsider, but until then - NO. read more

They did not attend us because they all of a sudden said they aren't accepting new clients when I called early in the day and a lady told us we can walk in. Still an excruciating pain today. I went to the joint chiropractic in Cascade in Vancouver, WA. And I have not been able to sit for more than five minutes since the horrendous adjustment that the doctor did to me. That man needs to lose his license. Since then, I had to get multiple imaging done showing the dislocation of my hips because of him. this will be escalated with my attorneys. just so you know, the doctor also gave me this card and told me he will be taking all of his clients from the clinic and told me to keep that Hush, Hush, once he finds his location. It's doctor Will Shiau. Not only did I not ask for a lower back adjustment, but when it wouldn't adjust, he jumped on me physically until where was a pop. I have been in horrendous pain ever since, and have seen my doctor and also spoken to my attorneys. I can't sit for more than five minutes, and it has to be on ice at all times. I had to take multiple steroid packs to just handle the pain and inflammation. just keep in mind that this business has a D- on the Better Business Bureau They do not do proper evaluations. They do not do imaging. And I was only in there for a matter of 8 total minutes on my first appointment. I have been in horrendous pain ever since. I have never experienced low back pain in my entire life, especially because I only went in for a neck adjustment. read more

Mitch powers did a great job adjusting today! Have a had a few chiropractors from this clinic try to get my ribs in place and haven't been able to get them. He took his time and we made some good progress! If you need regular adjustments or have a sports injury I don't necessarily recommend this place. Seeing as the person adjusting you changes regularly. However if you're looking for a quick fix the joint walk in 15 min appt set up is a great concept! read more

This location is like coming to visit a car lot. Dr. Evan is too much of a salesman. The reason why I tried The Joint in the first place was because it claimed to be convenient. I want to "walk in" as they claim. I'm just visiting Vancouver. I don't need to be pressured into buying a plan. I've had chiropractic care for years and this has been the roughest I've had in 10 years. I first started going because of severe pain and was not told to come in the next day. The last time I got an adjustment was in 2015. I went to see Dr. Bill Martin at The Joint located at 7901 NE 6th Ave, Ste 105, Vancouver, WA 98665. I adjusted very easily and felt immediately better and felt even better after the next few days. However, after this adjustment with Dr. Evans I'm in more pain than before I came in. I would not recommend this location. I come to get adjusted the feel better and release stress and tension, not to talk forever to a salesman. The Joint really needs to tell all their locations not to do hard sales. If they just would genuinely care and do a good job at making people feel better, people would come back automatically. read more

Dr.Sherman is absolutely hands down the best Chiropractor I have ever seen. I have hip dysplasia and have had 7 surgeries in the last 5 years. To say she helps my pain would be an understatement. I've been a member of The Joint since 2014 and have used a dozen different locations in 4 different states as we've moved around with my job. While all were helpful your body responds to adjustments differently based on the practice , experience & force used by the doctor. When I first went this Dr. Evan was there. I found him to be knowledgeable and thorough but awkward in his bedside manner. His adjustments were forceful and complete. Saying that I'm glad to say that dr Kimberly is there now . She is by far a more nuanced chiropractor with the great touch not needing to exert great force to achieve same results. She's a listener which works with you not just on you. I'm a weekly regular at this location now when other offices are nearer to my home. And for reference I've tried 4 other Joints in Portland. read more

I came into The Joint on 9/1/18 for neck pain. I had never been to a chiropractor before. I saw Dr. Young. I reviewed my history and the fact I was in pain. He felt he could help me with manipulation. After manipulating my back he moved to my neck. The first movement was so painful I was in tears. He then moved to my left side which was the most painful side. He performed a quick jerky movement and I thought my head would fall off. I was crying and was in so much pain I told him I was going to urgent care. I went immediately to urgent care and by the next day my pain was so severe with spasms in my head and neck that I went to the ER and was hospitalized for TWO DAYS!! I came home still in pain, I'm taking about 5 different medications and will be off work for up to 6 weeks! My hospital bill will probably be $20,000. I will NEVER go to a chiropractor again. Save yourself a lot of pain and suffering and skip this place. read more
