Both of my kids went to WPCP, and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. My kids look forward to going to school everyday. All teachers are caring and kind. From the moment we joined, it was clear this is a deeply thoughtful, well-run program grounded in a research-backed curriculum that thoughtfully supports early childhood development. Our teachers are caring, professional, and deeply invested in each child as an individual. They strike a rare balance of warmth and structure, creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Communication with families is strong, and it's obvious how much intention and preparation goes into each day. Program leadership is outstanding. They set a clear vision, foster a positive culture among staff, and consistently prioritize what's best for the children and families they serve. That leadership shows up in every detail of the program. We are genuinely thankful for the opportunity for our daughter to be in such a strong, supportive environment. It's the kind of foundation that will shape her confidence, curiosity, and love of learning for years to come. We couldn't recommend this preschool more highly.

I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful school…read more I looked at many programs in Santa Monica, Brentwood and the Palisades for my 2 1/2 year old son. I decided to visit PMC since my daughter was attending Le Lycée right next door. I was so impressed by my initial discussion with the school director, Angela. Her energy was magnetic and I knew I'd like her from the start. I didn't know any families sending their children to the school so I hesitated initially (my first visit to the school was during summer break). However, I decided to revisit during the start of the school year and was able to see Angela and Susan in action (both running the Yellow Room). Their energy, their smiles, the organization of the room and most importantly the happy children made it a very easy decision to sign up my son immediately. All the staff at PMC were incredible. They were enthusiastic and kind and really cared so much about every child. My son flourished. It really blew me away at how many performances the children put on during the year, how well they performed and how they were able to retain so much information! It speaks to the incredible teaching skills of the staff. There were ample opportunities to get involved with the classroom/school without any pressure. Also, I loved getting to know all the families. It was quite an international group with many families from Europe. Unfortunately we moved out of the country after my son finished the Yellow Room. However, I think often of the teachers, the school and the families. Our family visited the school last summer when we were in town (yes, we love the staff that much). Highly highly recommend!!

Small pods with a lot of individual attention. My toddler never wants to leave and like to ask when they can "go back to school" when we are home. Most importantly for us, the school has done an amazing job at making it a Food Allergy Friendly school. Ms. Tami sends me photos of labels for materials used in class and makes sure not to use any food based items. She strictly enforces a no outside foods rule and provides a daily snack that we approve beforehand to make sure it is safe for our child. This goes above and beyond the normal no nuts preschool. While my child is enrolled, the school will be Dairy, egg, sesame, and nut free. If your child has different allergies, Ms. Tami will work with you to make it safe for your child. If your child has food allergies and you never thought it would be possible to have a traditional preschool experience, RUN to get enrolled.

Within a week my son adapted to the routines and thrived from the culture she has created.

So when it came time to enroll in summer camps, I searched through the multitude of art camps, almost ignoring Kids Artistic Sense because it is housed in the near-barren Westside Pavillion. A most beautiful (and clean!) facility focused on real art (not piles of papers & craft projects that you don't know what to do with). Other activities like Legos, clay/kinetic sand, even an area for ball play so kids can shake their wiggles out! The most warm & encouraging staff, led by Miss Sandra who truly knew my son after his first visit. We started with a one-day trial on Memorial Day & ended up signing up for 3 weeks of summer camp. (2 of which are already sadly done). My son cannot wait to go back in July for his 3rd week & we are trying to rearrange our schedule to add another week. It is that special! Check out the paintings he is most proud of! And go check it out for yourself :)

My son first started in the three year old classroom (Orange Hummingbirds). We received detailed weekly observation reports from his assigned teacher with photos and descriptions which we really enjoyed reading. We were at a crossroads since he was eligible for LAUSD TK fall of 2024. However, we made the decision to enroll him in the four year old program (White Owls) and are so glad that we did. For a kiddo that was very resistant to change, we were not sure if he would be ready for the transition to a big elementary school. In the White Owl classroom, they have dedicated rest time (even if he doesn't nap) to recuperate so he doesn't have a complete meltdown by the end of the day. There is weekly enrichment (cooking, sports, music, art etc.) and so many campus events including water day, snow day, fall/winter/spring festivities. They also spend time on workbooks learning about math, phonics, syllables, compound words, the list goes on! For working parents, the option to have extended hours is great (morning program and afternoon program with total care hours of 7:30am-6pm available). We currently have two kids enrolled at Young Minds (one two year old in Purple Finch) and they love going to school. We also plan on enrolling the third once she is of age. We love Young Minds!

There are not enough stars to rate Little Bears Child Care…read more My grandson started Little Bears when he was 7 months old and I am continually impressed by Jackie and Elena. He loves them both and since the beginning was always happy to be there. Now that he is almost 2, he runs in when he arrives, always welcomed by Elena and her warm smile and on the way home, talks about the day, his friends Jackie, Elena and the kids. I am a child development specialist who worked with family child care providers for over 30 years and this child care can be an educational model for Family Child Care Home/Preschool. Jackie and Elena are loving, kind, professional and fun. They provide an environment that is welcoming, loving, safe, enriching and developmentally appropriate. They offer a variety of activities that are tailored for each age group and their developmental stage. When I look at the photos that they post daily I am so impressed by how intentional each activity is. They set up activities that each child can engage in her own level and each activity covers several skills. Kids get to engage in dramatic play daily which helps them make sense of the adult world, whether they cook in the pretend dramatic area kitchen or participate in a real cooking activity that later they get to eat. Painting a big box that is going to become a car they can pretend to ride. They get to peel tape from the letters of their name which not only exposes the child to their name but strengthens their fine motor skills by pooling the tape. In a recent activity they made circular holes in a large box, colored the edges of each circle with another color and had colorful ball to put in the hole. The infants enjoyed playing with the ball and drop the ball inside. The older toddlers where able to sort the balls and drop them in the matching-colored circle. This activity for example offers so many learning opportunities while having fun; language, matching , sorting (foundation for Math) , fine motor skills, language development and social skills. (waiting for a turn and having fun with their peers ) I love the fact that Jackie and Elena choose to have 6 children even though they can have a license for a larger group. Having 6 children with only 2 infants and 4 toddlers allows for individual attention. Any family will be lucky to join Little Bears.
