Caden is a dream! We first attended an informational class a year early in 2019(?) to try and understand our options early. We got lucky and found a school nearby, but we recently used her services again last year(2024) to get a more thorough, one-on-one analysis on what our options were at that current time. Caden took her time to give us all the options and to speak with us at length, on multiple occasions - to answer any and all questions we had. Her and her services are top notch and thorough. We are very happy with the school we are currently at, all thanks to Caden. If you need help narrowing down your search or just need clarification on the different options you have... you should definitely contact Caden! read more

I teach at United Children's Learning Academy. We are so thankful to Caden for her patience and knowledge. Our families came out with everything they needed for the next chapter in their child's educational journey! read more

Caden knows the ins and outs of the LAUSD system! She was extremely helpful when we were trying to find the right elementary school for our daughter. She's worth every penny! read more

Caden is absolutely incredible! What started as a daunting and overwhelming process quickly became manageable and even empowering with her guidance. Whether you're exploring public or private school options, I can't recommend her enough. Both of my children are neurodivergent, and Caden took the time to understand our unique needs. She walked me through every option with insight and care, helping me find the best fit for our family. Thanks to her support, my son is now thriving and so happy at his new school -- and I couldn't be more grateful. If you're feeling lost or unsure about the school process, do yourself a huge favor and reach out to Caden. It was one of the best decisions I've made! read more

We highly recommend Caden. As first time parents clueless how to navigate choosing where to send our son to kindergarten and beyond she laid out all our options and made something overwhelming a lot more simple. She answered all our questions and more and was really invested in what would work best for us as a family and for our son's education. She is a wealth of information! read more

Caden is an invaluable resource when trying to navigate the ins and outs of the LAUSD lottery system. There was so much we didn't know, and Caden helped make it not only easier to understand, but also gave us curated suggestions based on what she knows about our children's strengths. Caden encouraged us to check out a program at our local LAUSD - a school we had no interest in. We are really glad she convinced us to try out the program for our youngest child. The teachers were great and helped our daughter transition into the school system with ease. Caden also helped us with looking into options for transitioning from our charter school, so we could better understand the points system and gearing up for choosing a middle school. She pays very close attention to school options for so many types of families and can easily point out good choices when parents feel lost and have no idea where to start! Thank you Caden, sincerely, for all of your help! I feel so much more confident about this whole process now, because of you! read more

Caden helped us find and select the perfect elementary school for our son and now, 6 years later, she is guiding us in finding the perfect fit again for him in his middle school years. I'm am not sure how parents navigate the school maze alone, but we are certainly glad we have her as an ally. She is incredibly knowledgeable, resourceful, organized and thorough. Can't recommend her enough read more

Caden knows a lot about the crazy magnet points system, but the value she provides extends beyond something she could just post on a website for anyone to consume. She dug into the details that distinguish our family from any generic family submitting an eChoices application, and she gave us advice that helped us navigate our unique school selection process. read more

This was such a helpful thing for our family. Navigating school decisions and the process of applying is incredibly daunting with very little information available online and Caden was able to help us so much. Suggesting schools I hadn't even heard of, helping us through applications to privates and how to get into the public and charter school options we considered. And then very helpful advice for making the decision itself once we had our school options. We couldn't recommend her enough. read more

The online class is great for parents new to the process of applying to schools in LA. Caden knows her stuff. Since taking the class I have met Caden personally and know she really cares about families finding the right schools for their children. The class is a series of short videos parents can watch whenever they have a few minutes. So it is easy to use. I toured 19 schools trying to decide where to apply to TK/K for my 4yo and this program helped me understand the ins and outs of magnets and charters, public vs private, etc for a gifted student. Ultimately we won a spot at a 10/10 rated LAUSD elementary via a permit process. I recommend this class in moms groups online all the time! read more

Great resource for navigating the craziness of applying to schools! A friend recommended and I don't regret one bit! A must if you live in LA! read more

Caden is wonderful at demystifying the tangled school system. Whether it be private, magnet, charter or public- Caden really helped me weigh the pros and cons on what would be great for my family. She is a wealth of knowledge and also really takes into consideration the child's as a whole when helping create an education plan. Thank you Caden for taking all the guess work out of this journey ! read more

Like most people, my husband and I went to a class because we had no clue how LAUSD works. Between neighborhood school, magnet, affiliated Charter, Independent Charter, lottery, cut off birthdate that keeps changing, what? Yeah. Our minds were blown with how much information we get from the class. Even 2 yrs after we took the class, Caden remembered us and, due to the pandemic, was able to help us with our questions with over-the-phone consultation. She has done her homework and is dedicated to helping parents. She knows all the schools in our area and have visited most, if not all, of them so she can better help the parents should they need an individual help. After speaking with her, I felt better prepared in choosing the right school for our kid. Whether they took it or not, I always recommend people to take the class. Many times, word of mouth doesn't always apply when it comes to your kid. Their kids may need different things than yours, you know your kid best and you have to be your kid's advocate. read more

Do you know a private charter from a public charter? Can you actually afford private school? Why would a kindergartener need a magnet school? And is there a school bus in your area? AND OH MY GOD DID YOU MISS THE DEADLINE ALREADY????? Caden has spent years getting to know the elementary education landscape of Los Angeles. She knows one-size never fits all. Caden gets to know your family, your child's unique needs. With her finger on the pulse of administration ups and downs, she is one step ahead of the trends and will steer you clear of what the moms in the soccer stands swear is "the best" school around. Getting your child into kindergarten should not be a full time job. But it is, and you need the peace of mind that Caden brings to assure your family is in the right place at the right time. read more

I have had the pleasure and am grateful to have worked with Caden twice now, to discuss the unique needs of both of my children. I felt pretty lost with understanding how to navigate the Los Angeles school system and how to figure out what was best for my kids, especially with each of them having different needs. In both cases she was able to point me to schools that I had not heard of and would have totally missed applying to, if I had not spoken to her at just the right time. I also felt like she made me feel positive and hopeful about a process that from the outside can feel daunting and distressing. After speaking to her I felt more clear and like I actually had good choices. I highly recommend speaking to her and doing it early so you are armed with the best possible information and don't miss deadlines and opportunities. read more

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! The information Caden provides is invaluable...the amount of hours I would have spent researching and trying to hone a school list on my own was vastly cut down, she saved me so much time! The videos were also incredibly helpful, I don't feel like I'm casting around the internet, navigating in the dark anymore. Thank you, Caden! Highly recommend to anyone out there who is searching for help with the process of finding the right school for their kid(s). read more

The L.A. Kindergarten Class has been hands-down the most helpful thing we've done to navigate the whole kindergarten/elementary school landscape in L.A.! We opted to do a consultation, and Caden has been marvelous, smart, and helpful. She's answered questions all along the way, and I feel so much more confident about our options and choices than I ever would have without her help. Can't recommend her enough! read more

I first became aware of the LA Kindergarten Class when they did a short presentation to my mommy and me class. I had NO IDEA how complicated the Los Angeles school system was, so I kept them in my back pocket for when my daughter was older. Before TK I took their seminar which really spelled out the entire process step by step including deadlines and other specifics. After we applied and got into several schools, we hired Caden for a private consultation to sort through it all and she really helped steer us in the right direction. Even since then, nearly 2 years later, she's been totally available via email for all our follow up questions. I honestly don't know how anyone navigates this clusterf*** of a school system without Caden. I've recommended her to so many people and everyone says the same thing. She is a gem and I don't think there's another service in LA quite like hers. read more

I cannot express my love for Caden and The Kindergarten Class enough. As first time parents, we are completely lost and overwhelmed with trying to find a good school for our son. Los Angeles could be the biggest and most confusing of all cities in trying to navigate all the districts and types of schools. Not only are there differing school districts but there are also Magnet, language immersion, and Charter schools. I couldn't even begin to make sense of what the difference was let alone how and when to apply. Caden is incredible. She is so knowledgable and able to guide you as only one who has been through this process can. She saw there was a need to help Los Angeles parents navigate the school system only from going through it herself. I am beyond grateful to have found her and will no doubt boast about her to everyone I know. I now understand how all of these different schools work, what they entail, admission deadlines, and most importantly which ones are right for my family and son. My consultation was very thorough and a list of schools was given to me to further tour and see which ones I feel are right for my son. I would have never been able to compile a list as thorough as hers and would have left out many very viable options. A consultation is a very important investment in your child's future. read more

Caden was the answer to all my prayers! Finding the right school for my son had me in tears. The district is vast and it is not easy to find out if the school is really all it claims to be. Caden was so straightforward and honest, I knew my son was in good hands. If you want to know the truth about education in LA, talk to Caden right now. She can help you with real, tangible advice. read more

We consulted with Caden for our son's elementary school. We are so great full that we were able to work with her. Choosing the right school in LA can be frustrating and confusing with so many different options. Caden made the process as simple as it can be. She is very knowledgeable, thoughtful and supportive. Through out the whole process she was available to answer any questions we had. At the end, we were down to 2 schools for acceptance and Caden laid out the pros and cons of each school which helped us make the right decision for our son's elementary school. We could not have done this process without Caden's guidance. Thanks Caden! read more

From the start, we knew we were in good hands with Caden. It's intimidating and overwhelming to figure out the L.A. school system and where to apply (especially from across the country). Caden totally demystified the whole process of finding a school in Los Angeles. Caden's knowledgeable, thoughtful and available. She clearly lays out the pros, cons, and trade-offs that come with each school so you can make an informed decision. Most importantly, Caden gets to know your family and your priorities and tailors her guidance based on that, and a million other factors we wouldn't have considered on our own. I don't know where we'd be without Caden. She's truly awesome. read more

We consulted with Caden and were very happy with the outcome. We were really struggling to understand how to find a school that fit the needs of both of our children and our family. Caden simplified the process, supplied tons of information, helped us organize our priorities and matched us with many schools in our area. The service is a very good value, and great for families that are trying to understand how to navigate the LA school landscape (and is also unlike anything out there). Caden asked some great questions, was warm, relatable and easy to communicate with. She really took the stress out of a stressful situation! Thanks Caden!!! read more

Can't say enough good things about this class! So much information that would otherwise be SO confusing explained in ways that will make you understand the entire LA school system so well. Figuring out how to apply to LAUSD kindergarten is a nightmare. Caden walks you through everything in individual videos. The good news is you can skip whatever content is not pertinent to you. Caden helped make sense of a mind boggling process of deadlines and schooling options. I'm so grateful for the time she spent helping me sort it out so I could make an informed decision for my child. I especially loved her spreadsheet with data and the homework she did before our meeting so all the information was customized to our needs. An invaluable service! read more

There are so many options for schools, both public and private, that it would have taken me a long time figure it out and I'm sure that I would have missed something. We were interested in exploring public schools outside of our home school and we did Caden's online class as well as her consultation. Her class was excellent and so thoroughly explained all of the different types of schools (affiliated charter, magnet, independent charter, language immersion, etc.) and the process to apply which varied by school. There is no way that I would have made such an important decision for my son without having done my research and Caden's online course plus her spreadsheet of recommended schools based on our values and preferences was invaluable. She was quick to respond to follow up questions and really knows her stuff. We have several good choices of schools already. Thanks Caden! read more

Caden goes above and beyond to help families new to navigating the labyrnthine LA educational ecosystem. She passionately and patiently listens to your needs and helps guide the process accordingly. I invested in a 1:1 session with Caden and it was worth every penny. Like most parents, I felt completely out of the loop, anxious and lost when it came to figuring out my plan for where my child would attend Kindergarten. Caden demystified the entire process: provided me with suggested next steps for two scenarios (we stay where we rent or we buy elsewhere), enlightened me by sharing that we are not limited to our district school but that there are other exceptional and FREE options, and provided me with a list of schools, deadlines, links so that I felt empowered and aware. She put in the time to do the work + research that it would have taken me months to do. She is exceptional and I am truly so happy that we connected. I HIGHLY recommend to any parent whose child is about to enter kindergarten. read more

Navigating the school systems in L.A. can be so daunting and confusing. Thank goodness for Caden and her amazing service demystifying the seemingly insane process. Honestly, had I not worked with her, I would have been completely in the dark about ALL OF IT. Armed with her training and specific insights, I was able to make educated choices for my son. At first, it seemed ridiculous that I would even need to take a class about how to send my child to public school in LA, let alone hire a consultant to help me figure it out. LOL. Silly me. Now I know that the LA school system is a minefield of confusion. Neighborhood schools! Magnets! Charters! Language programs! SAS programs! Permits! Misleading greatschools ratings! As a first-time parent navigating this complicated system while simultaneously trying to relocate, I feel incredibly lucky to have found Caden. Her online class is awesome, and her one-on-one consulting session will give you answers you can't get anywhere else. Thanks to Caden I now have an extensive list of schools to target, I understand when the deadlines and lotteries are, I know how waitlists work, and most importantly, I feel confident that I have a range of "good" public options that will work for my family.
