I wanted to go camping with my son and his three young children for three nights. I live in…read moreCalifornia and they live in Oregon. I called Jerry at Southern Oregon RV Rentals and arranged to have a trailer hooked up and ready for us at Indian Mary campground on the Rogue River near Grant's Pass Oregon. Their website is very informative and helped me choose the proper sized trailer for our family. We arrived Friday afternoon in 100 degree heat. The trailer was all set up with the air conditioner keeping it cool and ready for us. Everything was very clean, and the water tanks were full. It was hooked up to electricity and the drains for the toilet tank and the grey water tanks. The campground told us that their well was running low due to the drought so Jerry for no extra charge gave us four five-gallon water cans extra just in case we could not use the water hook-up at the campground. We ended up not needing them, but we felt more secure with them. The trailer could sleep the five of us very comfortably. The kitchen had a three-burner stove, a microwave, an oven, a large refrigerator, a freezer and a double sink. I ordered the kitchen package and got all the utensils we needed. My family had a great time, and we left on Monday morning. I never met Jerry but did the whole transaction via telephone and email. This is a wonderful way to camp and we were very pleased with everything.

This rental agency left much to be desired. When they dropped off the trailer they did not hook up…read moreseptic nor provide a long enough waste hose. There was no cover over the heating controls which when brushed up against would turn on and was difficult to shut off. Only half the lights in the trailer turned on and when staff from the agency came out to fix it he was unable to and we were told there was nothing he could do. The worst part of all was that the water was full of rust due to rusty tanks. After requesting compensation due to the substandard conditions this agency did not address any of the issues or offer appropriate compensation. I would never rent from this agency or recommend anyone else does for that matter. Their poor business practices took away from my families vacation to Grants Pass rather than providing what was promised at the time of reservation.

I discussed the problem with Jesse, and he suggested upgrading to some Koni shocks and struts, and changing out the stock anti-sway bar for a Supersteer one. They were able to schedule me to fit my tight time line as I passed through Grants Pass traveling North. The work was completed promptly in one day and I was on my way. The whole experience was fantastic: their communication was excellent and their invoice to complete the work was substantially less than a quote that I had gotten for the same work from a firm in Redding. The staff was cooperative and extremely helpful, especially when ferrying me to and from my motel. I was very impressed with this firm and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to someone looking for suspension work on their motor home. I'll repeat it again: these folks are simply the BEST! Ken F.

We stayed here for one night and checked in after hours. The environment itself is beautiful,…read morequiet, rustic, and surrounded by nature, but there were some serious gaps in communication that affected our stay. The on-site store had very limited essentials and only accepted cash. We were told the card machine was down, but another family checking out after a multi-day stay said it had been broken the entire time. There was no prior notice about the cash-only setup, not even an email, and that made things unnecessarily difficult for travelers just passing through. The mosquitoes were relentless. My sister, who is allergic, got bitten all over within minutes. There was no warning or signage about the bug situation and no repellents or advice offered during check-in. We ended up buying Benadryl and bug spray from the store, which thankfully helped, but it was expensive and wiped out all the cash we had. The man working at the store was incredibly kind and tried his best to help us, which we really appreciated. Inside the cabin, the space was cute and cozy but basic. There weren't many toiletries provided, so definitely bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. That said, we were really happy to have an oven and a sink, which gave us the option to cook and clean on our own. After days of road trip meals and takeout, that felt like a luxury. We also saw birds foraging near the cabin and got to canoe on the creek for free. That ended up being one of the most peaceful and memorable parts of our trip. My mom and I shared a quiet moment on the water that made the visit feel special in spite of the rough patches. This place has a lot of potential and could be great for people who arrive fully stocked and prepared. With better communication about the cash policy, mosquitoes, and what amenities are or aren't included, it could be much more welcoming for short-term visitors.

In the Summer, it may be hard to sleeps as the AC just blows warm air. Everything is dusty so you wake up feeling tired and congested. We stayed in cabin number 20 right behind the main building, maybe 60 feet from the union Creek, which was wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful small trails directly from the resort along union Creek and several along the Rogue river including the Rogue gorge, which is very close to the resort. Can't wait for my next visit here!
