I've been here for almost 6 years and the location is amazing. If you're looking for a super quiet place I wouldn't choose this neighborhood although I will say by 10pm it stays pretty quiet. There's access to EV chargers in the on-site parking, too. read more

I lived here for two years and it was always a terribly managed building. They did not maintain the gutters on the ground floor, causing my patio to flood during a rain storm. They refused to compensate me for the damage to my personal property. This apartment is also ridiculously outdated compared to the brand new buildings on the same street. Management: Amazing! Right from the beginning, the building manager (Ali) was extremely communicative. I myself saw the positive Yelp reviews here first, which incentivized me to check the apartment complex out. It's very important to me to have management that cares about various needs and Ali does just that. I've emailed/texted him loads of questions, and he's always been quick to respond and resolve issues. Parking: Covered parking garage. For a 1 bed 1 bath, my roommate and I were lucky to have two parking spots for no extra fee. It is tandem parking though, but I'd take this over street parking any day. Most other 1 bedroom apartments in this area just offer 1 spot, and sometimes there's a monthly fee for it. Location: Prime. Right next to a trendy cafe and situated across plant nurseries and a church. Just a block down are loads of restaurants (mostly asian food), including more cafes, dessert spots, and Nijiya supermarket. Driving around in LA can be tiring enough, so it's nice to have easy access to food without having to worry about parking. It's a safe area since people are walking around to and from those restaurants. Plenty of dog walkers too, as it's a residential area. Also next to the 405, 10-15 min drive to Santa Monica, and 5 min drive to Trader Joe's/Ralph's. Interior: Recently renovated, marble counters, dark wooden cabinets, mirror closets, elegant ceiling lights. There is central AC/heating as well. Plenty of outlets. Maintenance: The online portal allows you to file maintenance requests and rank the priority need. I believe the technician comes in a couple times a week to fulfill these needs, so you can expect things to be fixed/replaced within the next few days. They will of course ask for permission to enter, and leave a note in your apartment to notify you when things have been fixed. Laundry: There is one washer/dryer unit per floor, (costs about $3 total). Sometimes I have to wait, especially on Sunday evenings, but overall it's fine. You'll have better odds if you wash other times. It's handy that you can set up an online account to track how long laundry will take to finish. Trash: There is a trash chute on each floor which is really helpful. As for recycle, you will have to go to the ground floor for that. On the ground floor (within the parking garage) is the dumpster and several recycle bins. Mail: Small locked mail slots for each apartment, situated on the ground floor. You get a mail key. Packages will be placed in that lobby area near your mail or straight to your door. I haven't had any issues with missing packages - as long as you pick it up within a day or two, it should be ok. Cost: Living in West LA will be pricey everywhere. Rent will fluctuate between tenants depending on the current market price of when you want to move-in. It is expensive, but compared to other apartments near UCLA, it was the best deal. Pets: ALLOWED! You will hear dogs barking occasionally. Tip: If you're not local and want to see what the apartments look like, contact management because Ali has videos of virtual tours of the various layouts! read more

Don't live here!!! These are not luxury apartments, they are overpriced because of the location. I could literally hear everything my upstairs neighbor did, including opening his balcony door every 20 minutes to smoke a cigarette. College students would have insane parties and someone would blast music so loud I had to sleep on my couch once a week because the bass traveled two apartments over. I counted the days until I could move out of this place in my one year lease. Also they charged me $500 for cleaning upon move out despite the place being completely clean. Awful please spend your money elsewhere! read more

I've lived in a lot of apartments, and The Jeremy holds up. Management always responds in a timely manner if needed, but I rarely have any issues. The building is fairly quiet and all the neighbors are friendly enough. Central air, parking garage, and cool floor plans made the building stand out to me. The best part is the location. This apartment building is a true gem, and so far we've loved living here. The location is great, the building has everything you need, and the management is incredibly supportive. Even with the craziness of COVID-19, we were able to move in easily, contactlessly and safely. Upon move-in, our apartment was clean and in near-perfect condition. We noticed one small thing that needed fixing, and even though it was very low-priority, management sent in someone to fix it the next day! Would highly recommend this building to anyone looking in the westside. read more

I moved here after living at Savoy in Little Tokyo for around 4 years, which I absolutely DO NOT recommend. High price, terrible management and a rule book that makes you feel like you're in a prison - not a Condo. On to the Jeremy: While I read some lousy reviews online about this spot, they could not be farther from the truth. The manager - Ali - is fantastic. As is their handyman, Carlos. Respectful, helpful, responsible - this is by far the best managed building that I have lived in. If you're looking for a noisy, busy, socializing environment - this is not it. It's rather the most tranquil, peaceful and beautiful (yet older) building that I have lived in. While not exclusively populated by Asians, there is a high presence of Japanese in the area and the Jeremy Apartments does seem very "WA" (harmony) infused, in all aspects. The garden and fountain in the courtyard is wonderful, as it is simple. I hate to give 5-stars easily, and I would never do so like others on Yelp. But after 3 months or so here, I have never been happier in any place that I have lived in for around 20+ years. Any request or issue that I've had was dealt with immediately, and in a polite, helpful manner. Almost unheard of in La La Land but here it is. Wish that some of the restaurants on this street would follow the example set here. As well, the odd positioning of many of the units make them each unique in their own way, and sunlight, fresh breeze seems to be hitting from every angle. Very impressed. Wish I could meet the architect - Howard Roark/Frank Lloyd Wright would be impressed. *1.5 years later - still very pleased with my experience living here. Definitely worth 5 stars! read more

My girlfriend and I have lived here for about 6 weeks and it is an excellent place to live. We were moving long-distance and had to everything over the phone or online (we didn't have the chance to come out and visit anywhere ourselves). The building manager Ali was incredibly helpful with our moving process, he provided us video walkthroughs of the units and extra pictures, and he was very responsive to all of our information requests. We didn't pick The Jeremy because of the units or the building, we picked it based on how good the management is. Most building managers are surly and difficult to contact, but Ali had already answered all of our questions and given us extra photos and videos of the units before any of the other places we contacted had even replied. And even when kept asking lots of questions, he was always friendly and helpful. After living here for a while, we are confident we made the right call. I have had bad experiences with management companies in the past, but this building is superlatively managed. The public areas are clean and well-maintained, including the parking garage (which was just cleaned and repainted). There are small laundry rooms on each floor, and they are kept in good working order. Maintenance seems good as well. We only needed them once, but we had a minor maintenance issue when we first moved in and it was fixed within a day after we reported it. The noise insulation is also good. We never hear voices/music/appliances/etc. from our neighbors, which is important to us. The neighborhood is nice as well, lots of restaurants, cafe's and shops in walking distance. Despite the proximity to I-405, freeway noise isn't an issue. We are on the side of the building nearest to I-405, but we never hear noise from the freeway. There is another large apartment building between us and the freeway, and it seems to block the noise. Definitely a 5-star apartment building. I can't think of any reason not to live here. read more

Other tenants are nice, Ali is super friendly, helpful, and always great, and the maintenance service is awesome. We had an issue with our sink earlier and Ali: A. My wife and I have been in our apartment for a little over 8 months now, and we absolutely love it. The building has something like 41 apartments, but everyone seems to be calm and respectful - we have never had any issues with noise from other tenants. The building manager is excellent, always responding to and addressing emails/concerns quickly. His communication is greatly appreciated. Maintenance is done quickly and since you can submit requests online, it's hassle free. We've had a couple little issues with our apartment and even though they were minor and marked as 'non-urgent', they have always been fixed within a day or two. The apartment itself has a lot of character and higher-end finishes. The building is kept clean, and there are nice touches like a well-kept flower bed out front, lots of plants within the interior of the building, and decorations for the holidays. Finally, the location is amazing - walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops, easy access to the 405, close to UCLA, and it's simple to get to the beach. Overall, we are extremely happy living here and consider ourselves lucky to have found it! read more

Clean and nicely maintained property. When I moved in, my unit was impeccably clean, recently renovated and in very good condition. The wonderful Sawtelle neighborhood is one block away. Ali, the resident manager is very receptive, efficient and genuinely very friendly. Totally overpriced. If you want to live in the Sawtelle there are better, brand new buildings to live in that have a similar price point. It's an older building that was redone and has a nice facade, but if you look closely, corners were cut. They are not transparent about the fees - what started as a low fee for NWP went up and up each month. For a tiny apartment for one, it was ridiculous. Don't be fooled if they tell you that rent increases after the lease term are up are modest. They are absolutely not and will jack it up hundreds of dollars without batting an eye. Issues with stolen mail and non-residents having the building access code were rampant despite prominent security cameras. Constant resident turnover - some are students, but I'm sure many cannot afford to live there for a long period due to rent increases. Better bet to go with another management company that is less about the bottom line and more about the people living there. Glad I moved out and would not recommend. read more
