I had a pleasant experience here! My friend and I were in town for only 1 day. We came to drop off on our luggage before we started our day. Valerie was super helpful and friendly! She called us when our room was ready and let us know that there were cookies in the "breakfast room" for us. Complimentary breakfast is 8-10 am. It's set up in the lobby. There are heat lamps and a firepot. Our room was cozy and spacious. I'd highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Calistoga for a quick trip.

Caroline was by far, the nicest, welcoming part of The Inn on Pine. Since we were earlier than check-in time, she gave us an estimated time of when the room would be ready all while being super professional, warm, and friendly with a smile. So we took ourselves for a walk on the town and were back to check-in. Overall we enjoyed our 1st visit at The Inn on Pine! A nice little property and layout with a view of the mountains from the pool area. What we enjoyed: - Caroline's warm welcome and how she made check in easy with a flick of the iPad and stylus pen - Pool, hot tub, sauna and Mountain View even with the backdrop of the croaking frogs. - Warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon - Granola at breakfast was top notch, tried and tested! - All ground staff at breakfast out and about were super friendly - The outdoorsy feel at the pools, breakfast area, on the porch felt perfect and relaxing to enjoy the rainy weather - Coffee plus mini-fridge in the room to stash our eats and drinks was appreciated - Kudos to housekeeping, the room was super super clean, the nice touches of the bow on the toilet paper, and rose on the tissue box was super thoughtful. - The windows in the bathroom that opened to green space were nice What could have gone better: - No hot and savory items at breakfast. Scrambled Eggs, sausages, potatoes. That's a miss on a cold rainy day. Too many sweet options. - 4am loud music 2 full songs worth played at full volume to disrupt sleep - Knocking from the heater in the room in its periodic cycle -When asked for towels, it felt like a chore for the person in the office to go get said towels. Her direction was they are in the room. 1. Without seeking to understand that wet towels don't dry in rainy weather , they stay sopping wet 2. Pool towels were not available the day of check-in. - Robes would be nice to have in the room to be able to go straight to the pool. The robes are held in the office, which is a bit strange. - "Insurance" cited as the reason to not authorize a late check out, given that insurance would still be at play, if you arrive early for check-in. Didn't feel very hospitable. - Bathroom was a bit dated. Watch out for the lip to the shower stepping in or you'll trip in Recommend Noon as check out time. Check-in and Check-out times felt rushed for an overnight stay when you're looking to relax. Recommend an offering of a reasonable $25 day pass for the pools with robes/towel (given the pools are not geo thermal). The few guests we met there were all very nice: a family with kids, a lady from Florida and her daughters, a couple with their young child. Late check was then offered at 11:40a when check out is 11:00am, then when said room is not needed, only access to pool, that was OKed until 1pm. We went to Calistoga Motor Lodge after and did a day pass for their geo thermal pools which was perfect. If we'd had the option to stay at The Inn on Pine longer, we would've since we had stayed there.

We enjoyed our stay at Inn on Pine. Easy to find; set in a neighborhood in Calistoga just a couple blocks from the main street. Walking distance to many of the Calistoga bars and restaurants. Rooms were comfortable; the bed was plush ... maybe too soft for some folks, but I like that I could snuggle down into the bed. The AC (thank goodness) worked well. It was 95 degrees on a Friday in April when we arrived. I was melting, but the AC worked well and cooled the room down to 70 degrees quickly. The room had a little wet bar area complete with small sink, small fridge and microwave. The inn also has a pool and jacuzzi if you remember to bring your swimsuit. Friday, they were offering a happy hour featuring a couple of V. Sattui wines and little snacks. It was a great way to meet fellow travelers and talk about wine and wine country! In the mornings, they offered a light buffet breakfast that included such things as: variety of bread for toast, muffins, quiche, hard boiled eggs, fruits, cereals, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, hot cocoa. Perfect for what we needed... just needed a little something before we started wine-ing and snacking all day. Val (the host) is a gem! Friendly and helpful!

There is so much to say about staying at this amazing little hideaway in Calistoga I'll try to keep it short. First, the staff is amazing; the husband and wife team that runs the front office and the entire facility do a great job at keeping it clean and friendly. We were treated amazingly and really enjoyed having a couple of conversations with the folks at the front. Let's talk about the room and the location. First of all, if you need to get away somewhere and make it easy to walk anywhere downtown, this is the place. The rooms are extremely well-kept and clean. Most of the hotel is covered by shade because of the trees, and they have an outside breakfast/wine area patio which is really nice. The room itself was amazing, and the bed was extremely comfortable, and pretty much anything you need they have there. We're fortunate enough to get one with a hot tub, and it was extremely relaxing, and we really enjoyed it and appreciated it. The pool and the outside area are very well-kept. The pool has a small picnic area, so if you want to bring something to eat, you can with the huge tree in the yard. The pool is well-kept, the spa was nice and warm, and of course, there's a location at the edge of town away from all the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much to the staff and everyone there that made our stay amazing you guys are awesome, and we will be back with friends.

The Inn on Pine is fantastic! Backstory: Stayed with my wife for one night on Friday, May 14th. We were in the area for a quick getaway and to pick up our wine club order. We usually try to visit the area on a slower day of the week, but our schedule wouldn't allow it. The spot we've stayed at the last few times was insanely expensive so we we're on the lookout for new accommodations. Stumbled on The Inn on Pine. Reasonable Price, Good Reviews, Walking distance to Downtown Calistoga, and a nice looking pool area lead me to book it. Room: We had a Signature King Room. Our room was number 8 and it's the closest room to the relaxing Pool/Hot Tub area. The room isn't luxurious, but very cozy and clean. It had a mini fridge and microwave. Nice porch area out front. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub as well. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that the TV was on the small side. Pool Area: Very relaxing pool area. Lounge chairs and views of the surrounding area/mountains. The hot tub was great. Relaxed in my lounge chair having a beer followed by a nap. Amazing. I love a lounge chair nap. Location: Perfect Location on a side street in Calistoga. Walk to downtown in less than 5 minutes. Service: Great Service from the Lady who checked us in. I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast/Outdoor food area: They have snacks throughout the day and breakfast each morning. I had an amazing egg souffle with some hot sauce. They put out pastries and fruit as well. Final Thoughts; They Inn On Pine is a great place to stay. Checks all the boxes. I'd highly recommend it.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My new favorite hotel in Calistoga. Seriously. Amazing location, really nice pool and hot tub, clean rooms, really friendly service. But the best part: the breakfast. OMG homemade granola. That's all you need to know. That freaking homemade granola, I want to buy it by the pound!! Such a great find, this will be my go-to lodging for future visits!!

This little inn was definitely a hidden gem in a residential neighborhood. It's conveniently located just a few blocks from downtown. Valerie, the general manager, was so friendly and hospitable. Gary was also very nice. I highly recommend staying in Unit #10 which was recently remodeled. Our king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was the best part - huge shower with a rain shower head, double sink and lots of bright lighting. They also include a free breakfast. Don't expect anything fancy like bacon and eggs but they had the basics of fruit, cereal, bagels, toast and coffee. The tables are outdoors facing the parking lot. It was my birthday and they left a nice card with two chocolates in a box on our nightstand. We had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely go back.

Welcome package in our room for our anniversary!

We stayed in one of the soaking rooms and it was wonderful. We were provided with towels and salts to use specifically for the soaking tub. The tub was conveniently located in the main room with a view of the large screen TV which also could be pulled out from the wall and angled towards the tub and bed. We were a little confused about how the tv worked since it seemed that other guests were signed in to the streaming platforms, but that was likely user error. Perhaps a little note about logging in to streaming services next to the TV might be useful for others in the future. We were also able to access live channels. The room was clean, and had a microwave and mini fridge for our leftovers after eating out or for small grocery items from CalMart. The location is great and a short walk to downtown Calistoga. We were provided with robes at check in which were useful for the hot tubs and pools. There are two mineral water hot tubs of different temperatures and one large mineral pool for swimming. There are showers and changing rooms available in the pool area as well. They provided bicycles and helmets that we could take to ride during the desk hours. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived in Calistoga and checked into the hotel and spa. While a few of us checked in for our massages, my daughter and partner checked into our room. The massages were wonderful, we were very relaxed and went back to the room to change to swimwear. Note: The flavored waters near the spa are delicious, try them all. Our room was a really nice renovated King Suite, that also has a Queen bedroom attached. A little kitchen area, fridge sink and table, then the restroom area with added storage and seating. The pool is amazing, the water is so fresh and relaxing. The two hot tubs are heated to separate temperatures, it was just so nice to spend time going there. I found the early morning swim to be the best way to start my day. On my departure day, I decided to try a mud-bath treatment with my sister and although it was not my first time, I realized that mud baths are just not my thing. Staff was great, the spa was fantastic, hotel and pool were so relaxing. I would definitely book another weekend at the Golden Haven and recommend you treat yourself too.

It ended up happening and it was amazing! Everything was super special. I was able to book a spa massage which made us take advantage of the five pools -which you can do without doing something at the spa, but that spa day led us to enjoy the 5 pools the next day or I should say for the rest of the stay. :) The food was delicious as always. Not the Southern Chef anymore (oh his biscuits!) but this guy was no joke either. (Mainly all our breakfasts) When you just want to be satisfied-always! lol I mean think how tough that must be to be on top of? The main pool is now available for everyone. Last time we were there that Main pool was for adults only and our kids were three months from the birthdate to be in the area so they were asked to leave and we were told we could go to the kiddie pool area, which was really chaotic with little kids and not our vibe. But I think that's why it took us so many years to return. Now, everything is updated and how it should be for a family to visit OR for a couple to visit. AND the new shop there is amazing with incredible designers that you would definitely want in case you forgot a dress or luggage. It's the best store you could have at your fingertips. The staff is super nice and helpful anywhere and everywhere on the property we went -so, great job on the hiring & retaining. I also squeezed in a yoga class, which was just what I needed. I definitely recommend going. It just helps add to relaxing, but there was also a gym across the way that seemed to have everything you could want. We didn't get a chance to check out the bikes, but that is an option. We ended up walking to town to get some food on one day. Charging my electric car. I waited about a day with a Porsche that never unplugged their car so then I found out there was another charge location at the back of the parking lot of the property, it worked out. Anyways Solage has refreshed a lot since we last were there and was just what we needed in a low key chill way. We will be back.

I was worried at first since many reviews complained about the noise from the bar next door. Yes, you can hear the music but if you have the tv on, you can barely hear it. The music ends around 1030pm. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Each room has a mini fridge, hair dryer and extra linens. The breakfast breads, fruit and coffee were a lovely way to start our day. The staff are amazing! From the front desk to housekeeping to the spa therapists, they were friendly, professional and made us feel welcome. We got massages, a Brazilian sugar scrub and a private sound bath and each service was incredible. Shout out to Dylan and Kelssea! The 24 hour geothermal hot tub and heated pool were heaven in the winter. We liked that the outdoor space was set back from the hotel so none of the noise carried into the rooms. There's lots of lounge chairs and a bar that I think is only open during the summer. Other guests said you could watch the summer outdoor movies at the bar next door from the pool! Street parking was easy and safe, and you can walk to restaurants, boutique shops and other resorts. Not having to drive anywhere once we arrived was a huge plus. And there's a grocery store on the same block. My only concern during our stay was the step up to the shower which was also tiled. There aren't any grab bars which made me nervous. There are ADA rooms so definitely book those if a step-up shower is a concern. Overall, I am obsessed with this hotel and can't wait to come back.

The hotel is over 100 years old and it's maturity is part of its charm. There was some work being performed in a guestroom on the 2nd floor but they worked on it for short periods every day. Love the strategy. There is no insulation on guestroom doors so it's easy to hear conversations and heavy slamming doors. There is no elevator so the 2nd floor doesn't appear to be Accessible. There are rooms on the 1st level however. The jacuzzi was wonderful and hot Tuesday morning but lukewarm on Thursday morning. Front desk staff state every now and then a guest inadvertently turns it off, and did so Wednesday night by pressing the Emergency button (instead of the timer for the jets). Bummer. It took hours for it to reheat. Maybe a sign for the jets could discourage that from happening again. Check In & Staff: Male staff were friendly and helpful - especially Manny!! The hotel does have a luggage cart but it won't help those staying on the 2nd floor since there is no elevator. However 2 of the guys volunteered to follow me outside to the car to retrieve my luggage. Soooo much appreciated! They not only carried them upstairs to my room but came back to carry them again when I relocated to a different room. They wouldn't even except a tip! Thanks guys! My heros. Other staff: The female staff at the front desk wasn't as friendly but maybe she had an off couple days. No eye contact, acknowledgement, or smile. She did engage however when spoken to. All other staff - housekeeping (especially), maintenance, painters, etc., were genuinely friendly and helpful. It made my stay relaxing which was much needed! Thanks again. Breakfast: Staff prepare a daily breakfast tray that's delivered to each room at your preferred time. Breakfast consisted of FRESH and DELICIOUS breads, lemon cake, a tangerine, and a warm pot of mild-blend coffee. Room: Towels were fluffy, soft, good-smelling, and appeared new! The linen and robes were fresh and clean. The room was well furnished and the environment inviting. The bed was on the firm side but was very comfortable. I had to remember not to sit on the edge too long though because the ribbing on the edge of the mattress hurt. There was no bottled water in the room but there was a carafe to be filled with ice/water at the Hydration Station located on the 1st floor. It would have been nice to have a Station upstairs too or bottles of water for upstairs guests. Having a mini fridge and safe in the room was a nice touch. A microwave somewhere for guests (use) would have been nice for reheating leftovers. Window screens would have been nice to enjoy fresh air in the room without bugs. Bathtub stopper should probably be replaced because it was old, discolored, and soiled. Bathroom walls could use a little touch-up paint but none of those issues were big deal breakers for me. The things that could have definitely been better in the room were the loud bathroom fan (and the inability to turn it off independently from the light switch) and the hum from the mini fridge. The fridge clicks on/off 24/7, and at night when its quiet the hum is annoying. Glad I brought adapters for electronics since there are standard electrical outlets only, and no place to plug in USB cords. Check Out: Payment for your room is deducted from your credit card at the beginning of your stay when you check in. To check out you can drop your room keys in the box at the front desk. I chose to wait (10 minutes) for staff to return to the desk for a receipt. Value: I didn't visit the hotel spa this visit. However even with the Spring Special the hotel seems a bit overpriced, and without the spa is probably closer to a 3-star hotel. Caveat though is that everything in Calistoga appears to be overpriced - after all it's a resort town. Love the peace and tranquility though. Overall a really nice stay and I definitely recommend.

I had booked the day pool pass with my mud bath and facial and looking back, I am super glad I did. While you have access to the buddha pond area before and after your treatments, it is not possible to actually swim there. It's more for relaxation. The mineral water pool is gorgeous. Reminds me of some East Coast resort from way back. One big pool surrounded by lounge chairs. I wasn't aware that the water would be WARM. What a wonderful surprise! There were no more than 10 people at the pool when I was there, so it was so, so relaxing. Children are allowed, but there is also another area with a smaller pool that is adults only. You can order food and drinks pool side and I chose to do exactly that. Had a healthy buddha bowl for lunch and a soda. Once the time for my first service had arrived, I was thoroughly relaxed and ready to get pampered. The facial was ok, nothing to fancy. The mud bath was something else though. Would do that again in a heart beat. It's all a bit rustic, but the ladies who work there are so sweet and the warm mud is so relaxing. You only stay in the mud for 15 minutes or so. Then off you go to shower and heat up even more in the sauna. Afterwards, there is a nice relaxing mineral bath in a clawfoot tub and a nap in a separate pod. And lots and lots of lemon and cucumber water! I opted to relax a bit by the buddha pond afterwards, but changed back to the big pool quickly after I was eaten alive by some very aggressive ants.

Despite this, we were unable to get meaningful assistance from reception and ultimately had to contact the Calistoga Police Department for help. After nearly an hour and a half, we finally recovered our luggage while police officers were present at the property. What made the situation particularly frustrating was that the luggage had been delivered to the wrong room by the hotel staff in the first place. These were weekday nights not a weekend or holiday, and the hotel kept 100% of the charges for both nights despite us not being there. What made the situation even worse was the amount of time we had to spend going back and forth during an already stressful family emergency. The front desk staff repeatedly told us they understood and agreed a refund was appropriate, but the owner instructed them not to issue one. For several days, staff members seemed confused about the situation, while the owner/manager refused to respond to phone calls or text messages. We were left waiting, following up repeatedly, and receiving no direct communication from the person making the decision. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, but there should also be room for compassion and reasonable discretion, especially for LOYAL, repeat guests who have spent thousands of dollars over the years and have personally referred many others to stay here. Unfortunately, this experience erased years of goodwill. Customer service is tested when something unexpected happens, and this hotel failed that test. We will NEVER stay here again, and after this experience, I can no longer recommend it to friends, family, or clients. What a HUGE disappointment Cottage Grove. As a Napa Valley local, it's almost embarrassing that I've lived here this long and never tried one! Better late than never, right? I booked the mud bath treatment and added a pool pass so I could enjoy the pools afterward. Other than scrolling through social media reviews, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. And let's just say, the thought of getting into my birthday suit with a spa attendant I'd never met was a little nerve-wracking! Enter Carmen, the absolute star of the show! When I arrived, there was just one other guest in the shared mud room area, along with Carmen. From the moment I met her, she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease. She somehow managed to take care of both of us while seamlessly guiding us through the mud bath, whirlpool baths, and steam room without us ever crossing paths. The timing was so precise, it was practically a spa-day magic trick! Carmen was attentive to every detail, from keeping the chilled cucumber-infused water flowing to providing refreshing ice-cold towels. She's probably done this a thousand times, but she still made me feel like I was her only guest. Her warmth, professionalism, and calming personality turned what could have been an awkward experience into something truly wonderful. Carmen, you are amazing! And the pools? Absolutely fantastic! Quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind after the treatment. I could have easily spent the entire afternoon there. If you're a Napa Valley local looking for a little escape without having to plan an entire vacation, Calistoga Spa Hot Springs is a hidden gem. Sometimes all you need is a little mud, some cucumber water, and a few hours of peace to reset your soul! I went in stressed and a little apprehensive, and left relaxed, refreshed, and wondering why on earth I waited so long to try this. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back... A LOT! ‍
