We have been waiting for this trip for a while. It was well worth the wait. I want to give a huge thank you to Curt. He made my son's visit. My son is 10 years old and he can be quite the curmudgeon. He left with a big smile asking when he could come back. Christmas tea was amazing. The selection of food and teas. I loved everything, but the salmon mousse was divine. Unbelievable experience. We made reservations for lunch/high tea and it was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious from the scones, to the sandwiches, and the sweet treats. I highly recommend this spot for a fun experience. The servers were knowledgeable about all the different teas and it was fun to try them. 1the worst This is the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in 10 years. We were seated in a dark corner when there was only one other reservation. The gluten-free meal we had verified the day before was unavailable. So the kitchens inadequate, the servers are uneducated and the entire advance was ridiculous. AMAZING! I can not say enough about how great my experience was here. The space is light and airy with great natural light. The decor is beautifully eclectic. My sister in law busted for my birthday. We had iced teas and coffee that were delicious and freshly prepared. Our chicken salad was arguably the best chicken salad we have both ever had. The peach scone was wonderful as well. My sister and I dropped in without reservations and we were fortunate to be seated right away. One of the first things we noticed was a lovely scent of some kind of pastry baking. They have such a large selection of teas, it was hard to pick. We finally decided on two black teas: their Pirates Blend and an organic Pumpkin Spice. We ordered some blueberry scones to go along with it. Still warm from the oven when they were served, the scones were delicious, as was the tea! We were seated at table for two by a window. With the natural light flowing in and fresh flowers on the table, it was a very nice tea time. There is a gift shop on site with all things tea, from tea pots to tea spoons. They also have a huge selection of loose tea for sale, which we bought to enjoy at home. read more

What a cute place! Wow! I was not expecting this when I walked through the door. We enjoyed a Guatemalan coffee made from a French press. It took about 3-4 minutes to make. It was sooo good and smelled like you were walking through the fields. Best da*# coffee I've had in a long time. I told her, I didn't get her name, to leave room for cream. She gave me a choice of half and half, heavy cream or something else, I forgot. She put it in to go cups. The cream was served in a little glass cream pourer, with a spoon. How cute! The Infusion Cafe is a paragon of excellence -- a beacon of hope for those that love tea with incredible service and the most knowledgeable, friendly staff you'll ever meet. I first encountered Infusion Cafe after moving to Morehead City in August 2013 and was impressed not only by the incredible selection of tea on its menu -- of which I managed to sample most of by the end of my time there (And trust me, it's all fantastic. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.) -- but with the incredible and palpable sense of community the store itself fosters. Whether it's themed dinner theater, afternoon teas, or summer music sessions, Infusion is completely superior to nearly every other business in downtown Morehead. This location became my home away from home while adjusting to the North Carolina coast after living in Boston -- and man, does it blow every tea house I'd ever been to out of the water. The daily specials are creative and delicious. The staff is courteous and friendly. Moreover, there are teas there that you simply cannot find anywhere else. Try the house-blended Masala Chai (a personal favorite of mine), the Coconut Cream Chai (also incredible) or any of the many fruit infusions for which the cafe is named. They even have a daily iced tea during the hotter summer months to cool you off -- or, if you're really craving something incredible and cold, the frozen hot chocolate is the way to go. (Also, while I do not drink coffee, those I have had visit Infusion have said it's some of the best they've ever had.) I could not have asked for a better home away from home while living in Morehead City, nor a better sense of community fostered by the incredible staff and regulars that frequent the shop. If you are visiting Morehead City, Beaufort or Atlantic Beach for the summer, do yourself a favor and stop in. It is the only can't-miss business of downtown Morehead. read more

The food was delicious, the ambience was inviting and eclectic. I ate a light meal of soup and salad. The soup, tomato/basil was topped with a mix of provolone and mozzarella cheese - very tasty and filling. The salad was super fresh and lovely with mixed greens and walnuts. The peach ice tea made with white tea was refreshing, and not to sweet. However, I thought it was overpriced at $3.95 per glass. It might have been refillable but that option was not offered to me. The coolest thing about this cute restaurant is that it prepareds themed lunches and teatimes. By the look of the calendar, these events get sold out quickly. So many tea/ coffee options! It was such a neat experience. I got jasmine pearl tea and it was so light and smelled lovely. My boyfriend got Scottish breakfast, tasted like English breakfast. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this for people wanting something different from the classic lunch atmosphere. Very, very disappointed. Ate lunch here last week. Special was a corned beef sandwich. A very dismal presentation, there was more cheese than meat. I asked if I could get a few more slices and the waiter brought out more. The meat on sandwich and plate was so cold I was biting down on ice crystals. A perfect place for any season! Each time we visit, the food, entertainment and gifts reflect not only the holiday but even the season were in. A comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, free internet, couches and personal tables if desired. They say their are over 100 teas available but I enjoyed the Jamaican Blue Mountain beyond belief. I will be back :) The holidays also have the tea partys. Tea partys ranging from Alice in wonderland to The Hobbit! The is the first time I have tried infusion cafe in the two years I have lived in MHC. First I have to start by saying I love tea and I am a vegetarian. I am very picky about the food that I eat, so I usually do not eat out. My brother in law came to town and I wanted to try something different because he is quite the food snob from Charlotte. We walked in a immediately greeted with a friendly face and the strong aroma of different types of tea! When we were seated the woman brought to our table a sample of teas and coffees to smell. We chose our brew and picked our lunch from the menu. My brother in law had the muffaleta and I had the quiche of the day (asparagus and cheese) with the house salad! It was so delicious. My meal was light but filling and was beautifully presented. We enjoyed our coffee and tea. My tea was HOT TAMALE TANGO! Fall chai with spicy cinnamon and naturally sweet cloves. The tea had so much flavor but was not too overpowering and did not leave a nasty taste afterwards. After our lunch we had the blueberry scone shortcake! It was so delicious.
