Within the next month, I booked my makeup trial and she was able to come to my home (which I love when people come to me) with her hairstylist Evelyn. They arrived on time and immediately began to set up their stations and lights. Dyneisha and Evelyn are both very lovely ladies who were easy to talk to so the service felt like I had some girlfriends over. It went by very quickly and when I opened my eyes I almost busted into tears, my look was perfect! So I knew I had to have her team for my big day. On the Wedding Day, I showed up to my bridal suite and her whole team was ready waiting for us, they had the mood going with music and welcomed us with opening arms. She gave us the proper direction on who was going to do what and worked with each of my bridesmaids. We were all finished on time and Dyneisha made sure that I had everything I needed for the rest of the evening with a cool makeup kit! I love the whole team sorry I can't remember all of your names! I sit in her chair and she goes to work on my eyebrows. Five minutes later she hands me the mirror and I could not believe she had done anything to my eyebrows. There was no shape, they were still untamed, and they looked almost as bad as they did when I walked in. I smile, thank her for her services, and pay. I figured there was no point in showing dissatisfaction because I would not be comfortable allowing her to do anything further to my eyebrows. I then had to drive to the mall to find someone who could fix my eyebrows because I was not having my shapeless brows. The lady who I found in the mall to do my eyebrows did not believe me when I told her that I just got them done! Tia is a nice woman, and based on the reviews I am sure she does offer good services. She just does not give that arched brow look that I like to go for. It is not necessarily a bad thing, just my personal preference.

What rubbed me the wrong way was when I asked if she had punch cards for customers. She said no, then said not right now. On my next visit, I asked again and she provided a punch card. I asked her about my two prior visits and if I could get those punches. She then gives an answer that is not relevant to what's being asked. She replied "I'll punch it on your next visit." Well, ma'am, my next visit is for my next visit. I have had to ask her to sanitize her hands. If you've ever had threading done, the person is literally in your face and if it's post-lunch, you can tell exactly what they had or struggling with. Be aware that the area being threaded should be cleaned beforehand. It's irritating to remind the threader to do so. I wonder if this is in an effort to use less product. I need you to be just as vigilant with your sanitation practices as you are when the screen asks me if I want to leave a tip. Speaking of tips, the amount the screen shows is more than what's advertised. For example a 10% tip on a $12 service is $1.20, 20% is $2.40. Take the time to verify what's being shown so you know what you're saying yes to. The adjacent barbers are really loud with their conversations and music so there's not a lot of chit chat because it's difficult to hear. She is pleasant and patient and will listen to what you're requesting. I do like how she does my brows but need consistency in the simple hand hygiene practices and consideration if it's after a meal. By all means, take that coveted punch card each time you go and maybe, just maybe one day you'll actually accrue enough punches for a free service.

What I got was a sloppy, messy design that was virtually impossible to fix or improve because she just kept adding more crooked, sloppy, uneven lines. I was supposed to get both hands done, but I stopped her halfway through the first hand when it was obvious that she had no concept of symmetry and that ultimately this was not going to get any better. I tried washing it off as soon as I got out of her chair, but the stain had already started to set. She told me it should only last a day or two since I removed it so quickly.. I hope so because I'm going on vacation soon and I do not feel comfortable walking around with my hand covered in such poor, sloppy, unprofessional work.

My eyebrows tails have a tattooed outline with empty space. It is beyond embarrassing. When I spoke to her about the issue she said she had never seen this before but my friend who went there is having a similar issue. The results are not professional and look like the work was done in someone's basement. $700 wasted!

She even told me sorry can you just buy strip lashes for work when I already have spent hundreds if not a thousand at this establishment. She then said due to her personal issues she couldn't see me this weekend- to then say actually I speak with my fellow coworkers who think I'm nuts for doing this for you so I decided (after I offered and scheduled this appointment for weeks with you missing work and your only vacation) that I'm gonna blindside you and not even do what I promised and fix my mess ups! Keep in mind when she canceled on me she said it was because she couldn't get out of bed due to personal problems in her life aka her boyfriend. Instead I am scrolling on tik Tok that same day to see her out drunk with her friends for her friends 21st. Look, I get everyone has a life and if she told me she canceled because she forgot about a friends birthday I would totally be understanding but the fact is she lied to me and I had to find out this through tik toks for you page! This was after I missed two days of work for her canceling appointments the morning of. I am beyond upset I ever gave a penny to such a spiteful human- she could've atleast been honest and said I am not going to provide this service to you- go on your vacation don't miss work. If you are looking to have a reliable artist and a owner that actually wants to fix such a terrible behavior from her staff then idk what to tell you. I've spent hours and hundreds, thousands of dollars at a place to lead me on for weeks and tell me less then 12 hours before our seventh rescheduled appointment that you are once again canceling on me... yeah I think I'm good on that type of "business" if you'd even call it that. You can't lead a client on for weeks saying you are doing a free service to have your client miss work and there only vacation while you're out partying canceling my appointments! This is highly important if you are non-white person who is considering professional skin treatments. I first went to Dedra for treatment in September of 2017 to help even the texture and complexion of my skin. She assessed my skin and deduced that I would see improvements in three months with regular treatments. She also worked with me to develop a specialized skin regimen. She told me which products to stop using and which ones to incorporate in my routine. Though Dedra sells PCA and Dermalogica products in her office, she never pushed any of them on me. She recommended products that I could pick up fro Target and the grocery store that were just as effective. When I felt I needed products with concentrated ingredients she advised on which products from her Dermalogica and PCA inventory would work best for my skin. Most people would try to sell you as many products as possible. Dedra informed me of all the ingredients in the products she selected for me and let me know how they interacted with each other. By December 2018, my skin drastically improved thanks to my home regimen and monthly treatments. I continue to see Dedra each month to maintain my progress and improve other areas. Dedra uses the latest and verified skin care treatments. Her workspace and equipment is meticulously cleaned and sanitized. I spend at least five minutes with Dedra reviewing my skin progress. If she believes I am ready for an advanced treatment she will advise me on how to prepare (not to shave, avoid certain creams and lotions, avoid excessive sunlight) for the whatever product or instrument she will use.
