My family loves it, my children love it. Pastor Judah is a New York Times best selling author AND pastor/communicator. Churchhome does great work in the community and I LOVE that pastor Judah is scripture teaching rather than soapbox preaching. My only qualm is that there is only one in-person service a month. I'm not in the finance department, but I think prioritizing more in-person services would be a good choice for Churchhome and community! WWJD

Their "celebrity" pastor Judah Smith and Pastor Jude Fouquier. Left me with lasting damage causing me to almost take my life. The only "sin" I had committed was finally being honest about being gay. I think it's time churches like this are held accountable for giving advice to teens without any semblance of a counseling degree, all while making 100,000's of dollars if not more off the people who attend.

I was a bit worried, as I was running later than I would have liked. However, the service did not start right at 10am, so I was good. :o) Walking up the stairs, I was greeted by the pastor, which is not something that I experience at most churches. It was a pleasant surprise. Yet when I sat down in my seat to await the service, I didn't have a bunch of people pestering me about this being my first time. I liked that there was a balance like that. The service was good, and the worship song selection was great. I only knew the words to one of the songs, but liked the others and hope to learn them. All in all, I felt very welcome. I received a follow-up note from the pastor a couple days later which made it clear that this is a community of people who do care about those who enter their doors.

My 2 year old asks about going to church all week long, he loves the kids program so much and they always take really good care of my 3-month old so I can enjoy the service. There's a great nursing moms room that I've used a couple of times too and appreciated being able to hear the whole service from a private room w other moms even if my baby needs to be fed. The pastor is awesome (and is new since the reviewer commenting on the weird message she heard here back in 2016; I would be shocked if you didn't love the teaching now). My husband and I both love to go to church every week. Love the worship that is fresh but feels really authentic. Love the teaching. Love the kids programs. Connection opportunities TBD cause we haven't taken advantage of any yet but there's a Moms group that people rave about, and I am looking forward to a breakfast that they offer to get connected at the end of the month. I was invited to the church for my kids baptism and it was such a production that it scared my kids and they didn't get baptized. It was too overwhelming. To each his own and I get that. What was the most disturbing was when I passed by and looking into the pastors eyes... they were really creepy. like Erika Kirk creepy. There was something about them that was really disturbing and unsettling. The other thing that happened was that my 11-year-old went to camp with them and not only did put her in a camp with other girls but there were several evenings where they were delivering "demons" from other campers and it was a traumatizing experience for my daughter and completely inappropriate to do without her parent' approval or presence. When I emailed my frustrations, they chalked it up to the "Holy Spirit" working. I was appalled.

Eastside has been a home and a shelter during the craziness over the pandemic and the aftermath. She personally knows and cares for them and her program and ministry is curated to really teach our kids in the ways of the Lord! I am new to Eastlake, only having been a few times, but I've seen enough…read more Eastlake Church is not a typical church, and apparently some reviewers hate it for that, but that's precisely the reason I found it so absorbed my attention and captivated my emotions. I believe that at its heart Eastlake is the quintessence of what the future of the church will be. Its a trailblazer that is opening up new avenues for the existential exploration that my millennial generation is desperately seeking. I've spent my whole life in theologically conservative churches (i.e. Assembly of God, Calvinist, etc). I was a minister so I have preached about radical and unconditional love, but it was always shrouded in hope for something in the future, not a place here and now. In Eastlake, I think I've found a place too. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their beliefs or non-beliefs. Personally I've moved outside the bounds of my religious and supernaturalist dogmas. I love science, reason, philosophy, evidence, etc but I also yearn for the sacredness of a participatory communal experience. Eastlake is that. The music blew me away with its profound lyrics, the people are friendly, there is awesome childcare (the childcare team is fantastic!), coffee/food, and plenty of comfortable seating. If you are looking for yet another copy/paste evangelical church, of course this is not it. There are dozens all around. But if you're looking for a place to explore spirituality without traditionalist dogma and without weird supernaturalist woo that would make a science-minded person like me flee, this is it. Confused? Whats Eastlake all about? "Life is a gift, love is the point"

Why I think OCC is a great church: 1) authenticity - this church walks its talk and puts its money where it's mouth is, supporting countless local and global outreach missions; 2) leadership - Pastor Mike is so genuine, & humble. He doesn't preach, but shares his faith in Christ and teaches others in a non-judgmental, loving manner; 3) pastoral staff - OCC has a big flock and they provide a large staff to meet the needs of the church. I love that Pastor Mike shares the pulpit with the other pastors because it's let me discover they are all such big-hearted, gifted pastors; 4) worship - I love the worship service, the music is great; it draws me in and helps me connect with God on many levels. The messages are relevant, fortified by scripture always move me. 5) LifeGROUPS - let's face it - whether you are a huge church or not, you can't develop meaningful relationships with others in an hour or two a week. These groups provide settings in homes where you get to know your group members more intimately. Through Pastor Pat and others, the church trains the leaders, mentors them and stays connected. I am a fan of more contemporary, casual churches but I also want a church that challenges me and helps me grow in my relationships with God and others. For me, OCC does this very authentically and passionately.

I came here with high expectations and saw that this is one of the few mega churches in WA. The…read moremusic was good, but noticed that attendance wasn't quite big as expected. After hearing the pastor speak, it definitely felt like this could be a liberal church. I read another reviewer that this church became woke, and now I can see. I'm surprised they didn't have pride flags outside. A mega church doesn't grow this big without a pastor preaching the Bible. Although this church carries the title as a mega church, attendance from its members dropped a lot. Only half of the seats are filled during one service, which tells you a lot about its church direction. I would never attend a church that's LGBT, and this is what happens when a pastor and its staff allows the LGBT to take over a church. I don't mean to be judgmental towards any church, but it makes me want to steer clear whenever this issue comes up. The building is very nice and plenty of things for the kids to do here though. I would only take my family and friends to churches that preaches the Bible and isn't promoting LGBT
