The congregation is a refreshing ethnic mix, made up mostly of Filipinos and Americans. The sermon was biblically sound, encouraging and challenging. I was invited to stay after the service for fellowship, coffee and snacks. After the fellowship hour, I was invited again to stay for the adult Sunday School class, and was impressed with both the humility and the depth of biblical understanding represented by the teacher as well as the class participants. My wife and I plan on visiting again.

The pastor is very good at relating the teachings of the Bible to members of church. There is something for everyone, whether it be in community with volunteer projects, bible study, potlucks, music, camping trips, family fun days, etc. They have coffee typically available during the service, and usually snacks where members mingle afterwards. Everyone I have encountered here has been very friendly, helpful, and welcoming - especially the pastor's wife. One of the comments I saw below mentioned that it seems segregated. Being of mixed descent, I do not feel any segregation among the group. In fact, I feel that it is very embracing of culture from all aspects. The writer also mentioned that there is a lack of male leadership. While I personally feel that the type of leadership should not matter - I will say the pastor and church does an excellent job of encouraging all members of the church to participate and be involved. This includes the women, the men, and even the youth. That is part of the reason I have enjoyed this church so much.

When I walk through those doors each Sunday, I flush the pain of a past week. I forgive the humans who are doing their best, in an imperfect world and I feel lighter. I feel happier, hopeful and restored. This is a Church for real people, meaning the imperfect , the unsure, the lost AND the found: which is all of us. Whether you find yourself near or far from God, Pastor Nick, his wife Krissa and the fantastic worship team at Gold Creek will lead you in a more fulfilling direction without judgement, condemnation or all the other 'weight' that is traditionally associated with strong Faith. Well, we have been going to this church for at least 3 years. This church is for people who wants to learn about Jesus and wants to grow in Him. Music: a few different styles and it is pretty charismatic, but not just a rock. There played soul too. Preaching: it is reformed church. I can also call it reformed presbyterian church. If you are a single mom or dad, bringing your child here will be great. There is a youth ministry and morning bible school. Plus many other activities. This church has a plenty of people of different ages for 1yr old to 75. They have a few growth groups for socializing and a Bible study. You WILL NOT fall asleep during sermons there. LOL! Inside and outside this church is neat and clean and cozy. Plus there is a lots of parking space and easy accessible for wheelchairs. Coffee is allowed taken to the seat during a worship. I probably will edit this review for a couple of times because like I said it is very hard to describe your family, which is not just a building.

They passed around a collection plate at about the end of the first hour. That's fine, but then we were told it wasn't good enough and about 30 min later they announced a second collection. Quite frankly I find that rude and insulting. People of this church need to understand that acts such as this is the reason that the church is getting smaller in America. They need to know that showing Gods love to people is the only way to reach out to your community. That relationships are the answer to growing the kingdom of God. Money helps, but Jesus never sent the basket around again after getting the 5 loaves and 2 fishes saying that it won't do, he needed more. If we are to be Christs representatives on this earth, we should act the same way and have faith that God will make miracles happen when we just step out and believe that He who created the universe out of nothing can also use us in a miraculous way.
