Jesus was great to work with. I called the ahead and he assured me that they could put together a beautiful succulent arrangement for a colleague. I appreciate that they were able to get things done for me before I came in to pay. Will definitely be using this florist again.
A GREAT FLORAL BUSINESS Found this great floral business last Saturday chance -- due to the long extended hours. A small store, - yet filled with the most beautiful and reasonably priced floral arrangements, - I have seen EVER Courteous service, very reasonably priced -- got me out of a pinch. I wanted to have a bouquet for my fiancé's return to home fron a 2 week trip. All flowers shops around were closed. Not this lovely business. Thank you for having such a great business. You just found a customer for life
Jesus was so friendly and really runs his business the right way. It's clear to see he views all customers as personal friends. He had a really busy day when I called and he unlocked the door to give me 10 minutes of his time to do a rush order for my girlfriends birthday. Prices are spectacular. I'll only go to Jesus in the future even if I move from the area. Thank you so much Jesus!!! ------------------------------- Jesus es muy simpatico y realmente tiene un negocio dedicado a servindo los clientes como amigos del. El me ayudou mucho haciendo flores para mi novia quando el no tenia el tiempo trabajando con outros clientes. Estoy muy feliz y los flores son muy bonita! Voy envulver Siempre. Gracias Jesus!!
Well, I definitely wouldn't recommend going here if you want quick service. My mom and I stopped in to grab a couple of bouquets for her goddaughter before a recital. They don't have any pre-arranged bouquets, which I suppose is fine if you're expecting it. We weren't, so we looked around and tried to pick out some flowers for our bouquets. The younger guy who helped us initially was nice, and did his best to work with us despite us not fully knowing what he wanted. However, an older guy, presumably the owner, kept shouting instructions at the younger guy while he helped us in a way that was really distracting and at some points contradictory to what we were wanting (eg we'd tell the young guy we wanted a certain flower, the old guy told him he should do a different one). The older guy finished up with the customer who was there before us; she left frustrated that the price was way more than she expected, telling him he should have informed her of the price as they went. At this point, the younger guy hands everything we'd put together so far off to the older guy. The rest of our time at the shop is kind of frustrating chaos. The owner keeps insisting that we should add this flower or that flower, while we keep telling him we're happy with the ones we already picked out. He pulls out paper to wrap the flowers in and tells us to write something like "Thank you" on it. I tell him the bouquets are for a little kid so it's not necessary. He insists, so my mom budges and writes something on the paper. He says "I want to add something else" and draws a sloppy heart above my mom's writing. Okay. At one point he asks my mom to grab him a wrapper that's outside his work station, under someone's random sweater. I've told him at least twice by now that we are short on time and need to leave for a performance. The older guy won't let any of the THREE other guys in the shop help him. He keeps trying to get us to add this or that to the bouquets (which is awful for my mom who gets overwhelmed by too many choices), stopping what he's doing to make small talk with my mom (asking her what my "sign" is), and trying to make jokes with me because I'm visibly impatient at this point. Prompt service would have been much more helpful than entertainment, and we spent nearly 30 minutes at the shop. The guy never lets us know what our total is when ringing us up. We later see that we paid $80 for the two small bouquets. You can decide from the photos whether you think it was a good deal or not. Overall, the chaotic communication and inability to read customers made our experience at Hummingbird really uncomfortable. I'm giving a second star because at least the arrangements themselves were quite nice.
My sister, who lives out of state, had flowers delivered for my birthday. I am a new resident in Escondido and had not heard of The Hummingbird florist. It was THE most beautifully arranged bouquet I've ever received. Just stunning. Can't wait to pay it forward and buy flowers from The Hummingbird for one of my friends.
I live in West Covina, Ca and this place is in San Diego area... (2 hours away from where I live) I was very pleased with their service and the people that took my order! They are so kind and nice enough to send me multiple pics to see which flower arrangement I like! The flowers was for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and they received the flowers within 20mins that I placed the order! Thank you guys for accommodating my order! I was very happy with the service and my grandparents LOvEd the flowers!
Never ever going again, worst experience ever. The man selling was so rude to my mom and I. I will never return he treats women so bad, I don't recommend this place at all. Please save yourself this horrible experience, wasn't even greeted and got yelled at for trying to purchase flowers. I don't recommend this place at all. Nunca regreso aqui el senor fue muy grosero. No vayan aqui, peor experiencia. Queda mal para arreglos el local no esta limpio. Trata mal a la gente!!!

I really just wanna take a moment to say thank you. I live in Los Angeles, and my friend lives in Escondido. This friend recently experienced a tragic loss and I wanted to show some support because physically I am not there. I contacted Hummingbird Florist, and spoke with Jesus (I believe that's his name) who listened to my idea and made excellent recommendations. The flowers were delivered promptly and the arrangement was beautiful. I received a call to update me on the status and the delivery. Cannot thank the staff at Hummingbird Florist enough. I highly recommend.

Jesus is very kind! I don't live near by. I wanted to send flowers for a Happy Birthday gift. I knew what I wanted, Jesus had the perfect arrangement. I wanted white roses with purple roses. Jesus had a purple vase that matched! He sent me pictures to choose from, that's awesome! He also sent a picture of the bouquet prior to delivery. Very good price with roses, vase, & delivery. Highly recommend!!
Accessibility: there is very limited parking outside. This may be your biggest issue. But getting into the store from the parking lot is all paved, flat ground. The store owner speaks Spanish and English. They accept card and cash payments. Experience: this floral shop has beautiful flowers. The ones I bought (see photos) cost 22 dollars. In my opinion, this floral place costs less than others I've been to. The store smells so nice, like flowers, but the only critique I have is that after I paid for them, the man sprayed perfume on the flowers without asking if I wanted that, and wow the perfume smelled so strong and gross. I had to roll my car windows down when driving away to not be breathing in that perfume. Next time I would make sure to ask him not to spray it before I buy them. read more

Needed some roses and it was almost 7pm, all the flower shops around were closed. I did as I always do, go to my buddy Yelp. They had a good selection of flowers, I picked up an arrangement of roses in a cool vase. They were extremely helpful and quick. I would definitely recommend The Hummingbird to anyone looking for beautiful flowers at a great price. read more

My wedding plans in Hawaii had been cancelled due to Covid-19. We decided to still get married on our planned date, but at home. Everything was kinda stressful and last minute. I came in and placed an order for my bridal bouquet, corsage for my mom, boutineres for the guys and bridesmaid bouquets 1 week before our wedding. They were able to accommodate all of our requests at a reasonable price. I wanted white orchids and white roses for My bridal bouquet, and it turned out amazing, exactly what I was hoping for, within my budget. They were so sweet and let me borrow a couple vases for the wedding which I returned to them a couple days after the wedding. I highly recommend, I'm sure they will do amazing floral arrangements for any occasion. I can't wait to see the professional photos read more

My daughters cheer team purchased flowers here to sell and raise money for the team. The bouquets were beautiful as well as the single roses. The flowers were sold for her schools graduation ceremony at OGHS. So happy to say all the bouquets sold out. So happy to do business here and we will definitely be returning.
