After Home Depot modified my home and I paid in full, the project was left unfinished for over four months beyond the contract deadline, leaving the work in a non-workmanlike condition and the property vulnerable to damage. An internal Home Depot employee stated they had emailed multiple higher-level managers about the safety issue, and my project manager told me corrective action had begun. Despite repeated follow-ups with Home Depot staff and my project manager, nothing was done. Months later, corporate claimed I had "not reported" the issue, despite documentation from both their employees and myself. A different project manager later acknowledged that the replacement had never been ordered when promised. Corporate then blamed me for not "notifying" Home Depot sooner about an internal failure I had no ability to detect or control. Responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto the customer for Home Depot's failure to meet contractual obligations, basic home safety standards, and accountability. Update: To clarify, I spent well over 100 hours over several months attempting to resolve this issue through Home Depot's internal and corporate escalation channels. This included composing 40+ detailed emails to multiple managers and team members, each requiring significant time to carefully document the history, safety concerns, and unresolved work. I also spent many additional hours on the phone repeatedly recounting the situation to new representatives as the issue was passed between departments. As winter approached and my property remained left in a non-workmanlike and unsafe condition, corporate-level managers ultimately stopped responding to basic requests for safety and liability documentation, despite the project being fully paid. I have already completed Home Depot's required web form, left detailed emails, consulted via phone and internal escalation processes multiple times. We went into the Tilton home depot out of desperation for a new washing machine because they actually listed one in stock available to take home that night. Unfortunately it was too small for our family. We decided to order one, conceding that we weren't getting one that night. We were given a delivery date for 6 days later. Much to our surprise, My wife and I came home on the delivery date to no washing machine in the driveway. It wasn't until then that we learned that someone was required to be home for the delivery. We were never told in the store at the time of purchase. We were never told in any form of messaging with any advanced notice. The first email explaining that delivery policy did not arrive until 36 minutes after the start of the delivery window which was also stated in the same email. Again not sent or received until the day of delivery. This was after we had both left for work for the day. If that had been explained in the store, knowing then that we were not going to be home for that delivery date, we would not have given Home Depot $1000 in business. Not because they had done anything wrong at that point but simply because it would not have fit into our schedule. We would have gone elsewhere and would have our washing machine running right now catching up on over a week's worth of laundry. we called customer service and got transfered from one incompetent person to another. We had requested a delivery the next day to resolve their oversight. They said it couldn't be done. Considering it was sitting in a truck in our driveway it obviously could not be too far away back sitting in a warehouse. No one seemed to be the right person to talk to about that. All they could do was "apologize " profusely without making any real effort to solve the problem. they said it was impossible and that the next available delivery date would be another 4 days out. I continued to ask for my case to be 'escalated'. Each new person i talked to clearly did not have any more sway or interest, quite honestly, in trying to solve a problem. How can you claim to have customer service if you aren't going to provide any? Feigning sympathy and apologizing over and over again is not customer service. Solving the mistakes made by your business, is. I even offered to drive to whatever warehouse it was sitting in to retrieve it since it was clear that it was too much trouble for Home Depot to make good on their end of the transaction and deliver it as it was explained it would be at the time of purchase . They couldn't allow that because it would go against their policies and procedures. Kind of like how i'm sure it goes against their policies and procedures to not inform their customers of their policies and procedures about delivery at the time of purchase. I work in the trades. I spend thousands of dollars a year in home depot on tools and materials. After this experience i will not be back. We ultimately canceled the order and purchased the same machine from Lowes for the same price, cheaper delivery charge and has next day delivery. It's unbelievable to me that a new purchase order can be filled with more urgency from one store than another store can resolve a problem caused by them. Lowes won my business. I have no reason to believe my experience is an outlier. Do better Home Depot. read more

Don't order anything from Tilton Home Depot that needs to be delivered They have hired a third party company (RXO) that was supposed to deliver my metal roofing panels on Friday 10/18. They took a page out of the cable companies playbook and will only tell you your delivery will arrive between 6am and 8pm After a "break down" on day 1 they only managed to make 2 deliveries on 10/19 before I was advised they were done for the day around 5pm Now their truck sits in the Home Depot parking lot all day Sunday and no idea of the schedule for Monday read more

I'll add to your "2" score. we have redon both bathrooms this past year using Home Depot as our go to. we purchased a NuZone bathroom vent- not used- not opened and attempted to return it. we di not have the receipt or the correct credit card used for credit. they attempted to give us store credit but said both our names were declined. No store credit issued. I asked why would our names decline considering we have spent several hundreds in this store and they said everyones name gets declined. we are now stuck with a brand new BR vent that cost $129. If I had received a store credit I would have returned. I will be going to Lowe's for now on. read more

On 1/7/2021 I went to the kitchen design department at Home Depot Tilton NH and spent 2 hours with a saleswoman really going through my options. She told me she would have my estimate by Tuesday the 12th. Finally that Friday I called and emailed to find out when I would have an estimate and still no response. On Friday 1/22 I got a call from her manager just going over to details she called a few times more and assured me on Saturday I would have a price and layout. She told me once I get it I have to pay in full as these would be sale pricing. Even though we are using my measurements, since I am buying a home and need both the kitchen and bathroom updates she said I still need to pay in full. As of this email I have not received anything from them. On my way home I did go to NH Granite and spent 10 min with Rianna and the next morning she sent me proposed layout complete with pricing. The Home Depot online service is terrible at best. I ordered two, one piece showers and one was lost. How do you misplace a 5 foot x 6 foot x 3 foot tub? This is a time critical piece in the build and now I'm set back another month! I should have got the one I needed at www.Lowes.com On another order from a few weeks ago, I ordered a lock and handset for the door we bought from them and they sent the wrong item, again setting me back. I shop at Home Depot a lot but I'm also a clueless shopper. Today at this Home Depot in Tilton, my friend and I met three different gentlemen, Larry, Jeff and an older man in the light department. They went above and beyond to help us. These include cutting up wooden boards to finding solutions to our problems. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Definitely feel comfortable and this place stands out of all the Home Depot's I've been to. read more

Totally GROSS! I understand that people love their dogs. I understand that people have some legal service dogs. What I don't understand is why Home Depot allows any and all dogs in their stores! The past two times I have gone in there I have seen two (one extremely large and one smaller) dogs do their duty in the aisles. The owners of the large dog were not prepared for such an incident. The employees did what they could but I have to tell you the stink was overwhelming. There was also a man who had a dog in the seat carrier with no covering. People put their children in those seats!! Come on Home Depot, smarten up. People will still come to your store if they have to leave their doges home. I have been to Lowe's and have not seen this practice yet so I think that will be my new "go to place to shop". read more

If you're wanting to buy appliances, AVOID purchasing them here. They have a terrible return/exchange policy. We bought a brand new fridge that stopped working within 2 weeks of delivery. Instead of standing by their products and exchanging the fridge or allowing us to return it, they made us jump through hoops to deal with the manufacturer warranty. This would have been ok if the fridge was a couple months old but this was literally 2 weeks. Most stores will work with you for the first 30-60 days, steer clear of Home Depot. You're better off going to an appliance store or Lowe's. read more

After being ignored at MB Tractor in Tilton, I went to Home Depot to look at leaf blowers. I found what I was looking for and went to the cash register, only to find that ALL registers were closed. The only option was those ridiculous self serve registers. There was one woman trying to help four customers at the same time, all with unique situations. It took longer to pay for the leaf blower than it did do clear my yard. OPEN SOME REGISTERS! Despite what your metrics say...most people HATE those things, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon when its the only option. read more

I have to go to Home Depot or Lowes on a regular basis. I went to this Home Depot over the Labor Day weekend, and found out they have changed their registers. They have a number of self-service registers, which I am not interested in using. When I went there there was a long line at the only register with a cashier. After 5 min in line, I left my purchases on a shelf then got what I needed at Lowes. Whoever came up with this new register idea should be fired. read more

I've been around long enough to know there are no free rides in life, but I have to tell you my experience in this store the other day. I am a combat veteran with the US Army, many years since my honorable separation (1992). I decided not to re-up after the first Gulf War at my ETS. I served this country proudly for many years and I'd do it again if they'd let me, but I'm too old now and disabled to a point. I still work full time and I walk upright and I labor for a paycheck every week. The state recognizes the need for a way for Veterans to identify themselves with a voluntary indicator on their driver's license. By bringing in a military ID in the form of a DD214, they will put an indicator stating the license holder is a veteran. Home Depot, and many other places indicate their willingness to honor veterans with a discount on the sale of their products if they have the proper ID, either all year long or just at certain times. My question is this. Why will Home Depot not honor the Veteran Indicator on a NH drivers license to get a lousy 10% discount on a purchase? in the case of my purchase the other day, it was $1.80 on an $18.00 purchase. They offer the deal at the holiday times like Veterans Day, 4th of July, and Memorial Day. I don't keep my DD214, or my old Military ID on me. I showed all that to the DOT when I had my license renewed for that very reason, to get the Veteran Indicator on my license, so I wouldn't have to carry all that with me every time I chose to take advantage of an offer made by a nationally known company to get a discount because I am a Veteran. I want Home Depot to know that Lowes will, every time, honor the Indicator. If this were a one-time thing, I really wouldn't make a big deal out of it, but its the 4th time in the last year or so at different Home Depots around the state. So it seems as if it's a policy there to not give a crap about Veterans who have valid ID showing their Veteran status. They will only accept a Military ID or a DD214. God forbid a veteran loses his ID over the years. In the eyes of Home Depot, he or she is no longer a Veteran. However, Lowes WILL honor Veterans every time with a Military ID or the Indicator on their license, ALL year long. I encourage all who read this to shop at and give their money to Lowes and not Home Depot until they change their attitude. Because until then,... Home Depot, YOU SUCK. My husband and I just bought our first home. We are renovating it . I bought a refrigerator from The Tilton, NH Home Depot. Washer, dryer and stove from Lowe's. That was the start of all our many projects. The refrigerator and washer was damage when they arrived. Both drivers from both companies said just use those until a new one can be delivered call the stores and talk to a manager about the issues. Home Depot (refrigerator) it has made our renovation a nightmare! It took 6 calls to even get someone on the phone. When I did he was rude and was having someone else call me back. Finally got Mark who was also not very helpful. Told them to just come get it I can't wait Weeks for another one. Three weeks later I'm here waiting for it to be picked up. It is know 4 pm they was supposed to be here before 1:30. Had to cancel 3 appointments ( gas company, cabinet company and floor company) because I have 2 refrigerators in the future kitchen. Yes I got another refrigerator from Lowe's! The damaged washer( Lowe's) was a easy fix. They were wonderful a new one was delivered the following Friday with no problems or hassle. I will never get anything from that home Depot again Tilton Lowe's for everything! Update: I have talked to Mark 3 times he is trying to find out why the drive hasn't arrived yet. I finally decided to switch out my kitchen cabinets, counter, sink & faucet. The contractor does business with Home Depot and I appreciated all his efforts, but Home Depot should take some customer service lessons. First of all, they ordered the incorrect color for counter top from the business they sub-contract with, no apology was offered & after a significant delay because of this, nothing was done on their end to expedite my order. Second of all, when I'm told that someone would return my call, not once, but twice and it doesn't happen, makes me wonder if they have any customer service skills at all. In the long run, guess it doesn't matter when they have your $$$. I'll never do business with them, but I'm just a small fish in the sea & I know it won't make a difference, just makes me feel better saying it. Wish there were negative stars. read more

We are regular shoppers at Tilton Home Depot as well as other big box stores. I ordered online a spa from Home Depot that was supposed to be delivered by a freight company, but because of winter conditions they would not deliver to my home. To make a long story short the spa made several trips between two states before they finally delivered it to the Tilton Home Depot. The Tilton store then made arrangements to deliver it themselves, which they did. After waiting for for spring and unpacking the spa it was damaged. It was very clear the damaged side panels and bent screws were from the shipping. The manager of the Tilton store Nan was great and made all the arrangements to pick up and return the spa, thanks Nan !...We highly recommend the Tilton Home Depot store and their employees as they are a pleasure to deal with. read more
