Most of the staff knows squat about anything related to the department they work in. Lots of us contractors have stopped buying from the construction side because HD has blocked off the loading zone and won't manage it properly. Starting a project, needed some lumber cut. Mitch couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful in my endeavor. He was patient and made sure I chose the correct pieces to cut. Just rented a Penske truck from the tool rental area. Kaylie was beyond super sweet, helpful and just amazing running around taking care of all sorts of things. Kudos for all that she has done all day with all the panicking people that I've seen behind me in line. What a blessing she is. Jumping through hoops and running( literally) to help people hook up trailers, help us with the moving truck, documenting scratches and dents with the moving truck. ery frustrating experience. Was buying a battery powered power washer and it rang up the wrong price by $50. The two young men who should be helping were playing with phones and chatting. I had to go get them. I told one of them the price was wrong. He said I had to go take a photo and prove it was wrong. I told them I didn't want it any longer and checked out. After checking out, took photo of price and item. Compared to the item I wanted to buy and it was identical. I told I still didn't want it but wanted to verify. He said he would fix the price. No apology. No offer to verify price. Just poor service that will cost you $$$ from someone who has spent a lot of money with your store. Put down your phone and earn your pay please. It is not acceptable to treat people like you are giving us a gift for being able to shop at your store. On another note, the gentlemen who helped us find shelf brackets was exceptional (middle aged and no hair). He told us a location and then verified. He should be leading the store. This is a nice Home Depot in a nice location- easy on and off I-25 as well. Found everything needed and store was organized well.

Ordered a dryer from them 2 weeks ago. Was told the day we bought it that it would be delivered the next Monday. They called me the same day after telling me it was going to be delivered between 3-7. So I take the majority of the day off waiting for them. They then call me at 6 telling me that the dryer never made it in the truck. So they re-schedule for today Saturday. They again called the day before and told me it would be delivered between 3-7. I get a call from a lady from Home Depot at 5:40 telling me "sorry we can't deliver your dryer today because it never made it on the truck". She then tells me it will be delivered Monday now. How many days am I supposed to take off because of their mistakes? I am beyond shocked at the customer service here also. I called twice today and asked to speak to someone who was a manager about the situation. Robert the manager in duty never called me back after leaving 2 messages directly with Beth over the phone. Their idea of doing a project to replace an entry door was to show up to measure, and then never call back or send us the promised quote. After a week, and a call where we were transferred several time, somebody gave us a "standard price" but no quote they would send us, and no statement of work. Beware of the tool rental department. I rented a tool that was never tested when I originally rented it. The tool did not work correctly. I kept the tool a few extra days because of some circumstances outside of my control. They added a prorated non-disclosed tool protection package to my tool rental in addition to the extra charges which I was fine with. The equipment here doesn't work properly the employees are somewhat rude and they will ding you for extra charges that will never be disclosed to you. My 3-day tool rental ended up costing much more than the tool would have cost if I purchased it at that same store. read more

It seems difficult to find anyone to help you at this Home Depot, and when you finally find someone they want to pawn you of to someone who "knows better". When I was there the other day I saw a set of wrenches on sale. The original price was $25, the metric were marked down to $19, and the SAE were marked all the way down to $9. Seeing that I needed the metric I asked the cashier if they could match the lower price. He asked a manager that was passing by and she seemed put off. She said she "couldn't" match the price. This is my back up home depot, I usually drop in when I am between the springs and denver. There is a weird vibe in this store. There seems to be plenty of people around, but no one really interested in helping, unlike some of the other HD stores, seems especially the case in the garden department. Its a standard issue store that is conveniently placed across from a walmart in a shopping center near the highway. I find myself going to the lowes more often than not, but there are things that each store does not carry, so I use both. read more

I'm usually posting a good experience at this Home Depot. Today was different. I'm a 61 year old woman wearing a knee brace because I'm getting a knee replacement soon. I went in to buy 2 trash cans, 2 tarps and a 12x12 foot turf. The gentleman first asked me to go get a cart. I got it and waited for them to measure and role this up and put on my cart. They never asked me if I needed help. I'm not one to ask for help but that's probably why I get hurt. I check out and still the cashier didn't ask if I needed help. I know I should of asked. I'm wondering where has your customer service gone? A gentleman was putting up your carts and I tried to get his attention but he wouldn't acknowledge. I ended up loading it myself in the back of my truck. My husband was so upset that I didn't demand help. Is that what we need to do? It doesn't come with training from your company? This was a lesson because I never have to ask Lowe's for help! read more

Had a bad experience today. We waited for almost 45 min for help in tools. Asked numerous people and didn't get help until I pushed the issue. First come first served was the answer I got, we asked for help no less than three times with different people. HD either higher more associates or allow customers to do it ourselves. read more

All Home Depot's are understood by all customers. No difference in this one. I am writing this review for Darrell, the associate who stuck by us while trying to buy a bbq at 7:30p on a Saturday. After finding forklift personnel, shutting down aisles to pull it down, and digging thru propane bottles for any that are full...we got loaded up to leave. Seriously, I don't always ask for help but this time I couldn't find what I need. This Home Depot service was awful. I said excuse me to a couple of guys working there facing me and they completely ignored me. I finally found a congregation of Home Depot employees that also ignored me. I turned to a lady standing alone and asked for what I needed. She didn't know so she interrupted her colleagues conversation, the guy pulled out his phone and said, oh it says isle 19. I said "darn I looked and didn't see it there" he told me to check again then continued his conversation. At the register, I had some wood that I bought for 70% off. When I asked the lady at the register what the price was per piece for the wood she looked at me dumbfounded. I said, "how much do they normally cost then?" Clearly annoyed that she had to jump back to her other screen, showed me the price then said, and "I can't do the math from there." I said not a problem. Took my items and left. I was just unimpressed from my normal Home Depot experiences from my area in Henderson. I won't use this Home Depot for anything anymore. read more

Stopped into Home Depot on Sunday morning trying to avoid any crowds. We have a big flooring , cabinet and countertop project coming up and wanted to get an idea of materials and cost. Only 1 employee in the entire area. She made eye contact twice and quickly scurried off as we looked at materials, waiting for help, expecting to spends thousands of dollars. We were in that section of the store for 20 minutes, just waiting for any employee to even acknowledge us. It never happened. We decided to take our business somewhere else and on the way out we saw the same employee who saw us and quickly disappeared, three isles away slouching against the product rack , texting on her phone. Lazy, good for nothing employees. Do I really want to drop $ 20k at Home Depot when the initial experience is this bad? No thanks. read more

We paid our bill in full and have since been charged twice by Home Depot since clearing our balance. $3,095 X 2. Just went there today to discuss. They take zero accountability and point fingers at their vendors. The whole reason we went thru Home Depot was so we wouldn't have to manage the difficulties with a smaller vendor. Home Depot does not take these partnerships seriously. Rico at the Monument location was zero help and couldn't care less as I'm trying to get my money back. This is the 2nd time this has happened for the same amount. Update: we have had to dispute these charges both times thru our bank. Home Depot stayed that they didn't have any records of us being charged so we're no help. Last Friday(5/13) we received a notice from a collection agency for a debt that was paid over a month ago. I was scheduled for fridge delivery yesterday. It didn't happen. While I can understand yesterday's subzero outside temperatures probably caused the delay, what I can't understand is the failure of HD to call me yesterday to confirm the delay and reschedule for fastest possible make up delivery. Instead, after 4 calls to the national center, I'm getting lip service, bumped to Monday delivery, with claims that they can't rearrange the loads over the next 4 days, that they hands are tied and are forced to send me to the back of the line. I'll probably accept the delivery because I need the fridge, but with this type of lousy customer service I'm done with buying large items from HD going forward. read more

SUNNY SATURDAY around 1:00, April 9 - super busy. I shop for 25 minutes and have a cart full only to have the checkout clerk tell me "our system is down, cash or check only. Since only grandmothers carry cash or checks and I am not one, I was out of luck. I was dumbfounded as to the level of stupidity this all revealed. She said the system was down for over 2 hours. So here's a thoughtful suggestion Home Depot management - how about having people at the entrances telling customers what's going on instead of wasting their time and telling them when they're at the check out. Things seem to be on the decline at the Depot - we went to purch some cabinets the other day learning they would be 20% off by the GIGANTIC sign posted at the entrance and no one seemed to know about it! OF COURSE, they didn't ring up right originally so back in we go then the cashier is dumbfounded and has to call a mgr who goes back and forth trying to figure out if they are indeed on sale - he should of LOOKED AT THE HUGE SIGN AT THE ENTRANCE. It was all so asinine. Then, in just getting help in the cabinets area , we go to the area of "custom cabinets" where an employee is arriving but OF COURSE doesn't work in the cabinets area, and has an irritated tone when we ask TO GET HELP in the instock area... Depot needs to revamp its service and employee attitudes for sure! read more

For the second time, I have gone to the hardware store and found the Sunday AM early shift milling around drinking coffee @ 0715, registers not open, doors not open garden center locked and chained with 3-4 customers standing around waiting to be served, lots of laughing and ignoring customers. We have been lifelong Home Depot customers unfortunately no longer. I don't mean this review to sound as a rant but maybe it can save someone else the headache we've been through. We bought a washer and dryer and had it delivered. The dryer was broken which happens and was sent back. I then called the representative who was incredibly rude and asked me why I was even calling and they would take care of it. I would find out my delivery date in two days. Three days later when I had no delivery day, I called and had scheduled it without checking if it would work. They then promised a delivery time window, which never came in at 2 AM the morning of the delivery After calling and I was notified that they would be there at 7 AM. After scrambling to have someone be at the house, they canceled three hours into the four hour delivery window stating that they did not have enough supply trucks that day. They then scheduled it another week out. On that day when they came to deliver they did not have the kit they needed to deliver it and took the dryer back. when I called the representatives, they accused me that I should have known that the kit was needed even though with other subsequent representatives, I spoke to they said that this is not something the individual orders and is something the store should have added When they place the order. In addition they charged me $100 for the kit that they told us would have been free at the store added it because I was not ordering it as a separate order I had to pay for it. The morning of the delivery they canceled again an hour before the delivery window and moved it to the next day. We then took off work again to be home and the drivers came stating that they were not told they had to do any install and we're not going to. This led to three hours on the phone Trying to get it installed. We finally were able to get it installed and now the dryer does not work. We are now being told that we have to wait another week to even have someone look at it and it will be a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks before we would get another dryer. Obviously, this is a one time experience, and I understand others probably have had great experiences however, the lack of customer service and responsiveness has now led to three days of missed work and six weeks, 26 phone calls, additional expenses over $200 and all without a functioning dryer with potentially three more at best. We personally will not be shopping at Home Depot anymore for any appliances, as nothing is worth the nightmare that this has been. read more

Well not sure this should go against the store in Monument, CO but that is who I am dealing with so that's just the way it goes. I ordered something online for delivery to the store. I was supposed to be able to pick it up on November 29th. The website shows it was delivered to the store but not ready for pickup and it is now December 1st. I tried using the text help. The response was they would have someone contact me. No one ever contacted me. I just called the store and found it was delivered to the wrong store even though the website says it was delivered to the Monument store. All fine and good except they cannot tell me when it will be delivered from the other store. The answer was "I can't tell you that, we will call you when it gets here". Well I tried to support local stores instead of ordering from some place like Amazon. You need to do better Home Depot. You should at least be able to update me with a new date and make some effort to get it her. After all the other store is only like 50 miles south of you. I will think twice next time before I use your online ordering. read more

Great location and all the basics for your home needs. They have a little bit of everything here that will get you through most jobs at the house. I especially like the outdoor BBQ section as they have one of the larger selections around. Over the past few weeks and months I had made thousands of dollars in purchases for work done around my home. I am moving and don't need some of the items I purchased, so I attempted to return them. I didn't have a receipt but had purchased them on one credit card, so I assumed they could look the purchases up that way. I was told that, without the receipt, they wouldn't accept the return - even for a store credit.
