I bought a medium harvest right freeze dryer. I had a few issues at first. Nothing to do with the machine, but i didnt want to mess anything up. We were excited for our first official trip to Home Depot as new homeowners. And looked forward to benefitting from the expertise of the employees. Unfortunately, that expertise seemed to be lacking...not only did most employees not seem to be terribly experienced home improvement experts but also most did not seem to know where most items were located in their department. Or we happened to ask an employee who was not situated in their specific department. So pretty much every time employees were just looking up the answer on the app, which we could have done ourselves...The only exception was the employees in the painting department. I was waiting for a microwave delivery for 1 week. Today, when the delivery was supposed to happen, the dispatch called me and let me know that the drivers can't deliver because of construction. Yes, there is construction around my condo. However, there is another way to get to my building. And so far, months of deliveries have made it here. Today, the drivers lied to me and told me that they couldn't make it to the location even though they could have easily gotten out of the truck and delivered my microwave by walking a few minutes. Or, they could have pulled directly in front of my building as many other cars did. So instead, they chose to just reschedule my delivery without even telling me. I waited for 1 hour and had to call them to be informed. After, I called support. They told me that they can reschedule the delivery for 4 days from now. But they can't promise that the drivers won't face the same issue. This was a situation of lying and a lack of care about the customer. If they really cared about me, it was very easy to deliver the microwave. As proven by dozens of other deliveries that make it here every day. Including a king bed. Furthermore, I spent almost an hour dealing with this situation. I'm very disappointed by the service at Home Depot and by the lack of care about the customer. I was tagging along with my sister to return a "cheap" toilet fill valve made by "Kholer." It's not Home Depot's fault other than choosing to sell this product. The return process was quite efficient. This (Kholer) product claimed to be "silent". Once installed, it was never silent nor did it even fill in a timely manner. This was so bothersome that it needed to be removed. Horrible product. I encouraged my sister to get her fill valve from a plumbing supply company. Upon finding a reputable place, we picked up a "Fluid Master Pro 45". We are a couple of ladies and we're able to replace this valve (with the help of YouTube) in a matter of minutes! The Fluid Master was even cheaper than the "Kholer". We did good and it works like a charm!!!! read more

Whether it is from Mercury retrograde or just age (thirteen years), my refrigerator passed away. It had a very good life keeping coquitos and leftovers cold. Alas, I had to find a new one. I went to Home Depot's webpage to order a replacement. The $600 + cost was reasonable with inflation, and the home page said $55 for delivery / installation by this coming Wednesday. So far so good right? Well the reason this is a one-star review is that I just canceled my order. When it came to make the actual payment, the delivery date was moved to next Friday (a week with a broken refrigerator!!) and the delivery fee for a specific room installation doubled. This stinks more than the food in my broken fridge. I will be patronizing a different retailer, and would urge you to stay away from Home Depot. read more

As soon as I entered the building I saw a circle of centipedes roaming the warehouse so it wasn't a good start. The customer service was NOT good and I must say it was utterly awful. When I asked for the menus they seemed like they had no clue what I was saying. I had wished that they explained to me where I can find what they are serving. Luckily Samuel the Salamander was there and he attached himself to my frontal lobe. It was weird that he was under my forehead skin, but then I started seeing all the food that was probably hidden to the human eye. So I started to eat and and eat and Samuel starting producing a weird gelatinous substance on top of my dome. I wish I could say we were satisfied but it feels like I have screws and nails penetrating my stomach, and the rest of my organs felt like they were harvested from my body. Samual was looking pretty satisfied though as he left, conveniently looking like he ate all the organs in my body. I went into the bathroom to wash the gelatin off but the ostrich wouldn't let me. Overall the food tasted like wood chipping, customer service was below mediocre and the ambiance was fine I guess. read more

I'm only giving the Home Depot a one star rating because every time you need help there ain't anyone around!!! But then you show up an hour before close and it's like a employee Rave. I've had some seriously stressful times here, anywhere from the crazy customers to the absent employees. Luckily there's always that one unk who knows everything, they're like a magical being of knowledge like the Merlín of the Depot. If you're lucky to find one of these unks, you will be saved. One time I went to the tool rental at a Home Depot in south florida and brehhh was taking for ever to deal with the riff raff of customers ahead of me. I was so spaced out that i looked up and saw, I kid you not a HUGE DRAGONFLY stuck in a massive spiderweb. Bro do you know how much web needs to be there for it to trap a dragonfly? Anyway. Ive been visiting Home Depot for many years and each day the service gets worse and worse. Today I was there asking for an item that I had not purchased in the past, my 1st encountered was with a young lady I think named Maya or similar when I asked her if she can tell me where the Cabinet liners were she looked at me and said Espańol porfavor. When I told her in Spanish she said ohh I don't know ask that guy which I did and he send me to a lane in which I had to ask someone else who send me to another lane and after practically going around the entire store and asking several people I found it. People need a little more training and willingness to work it's very sad that after an entire day working you have to walk an entire store because no one knows where things are and they simply shuffle you from lane to lane. I remodeled my kitchen with all new appliances and after twice rescheduling the delivery, they finally arrived. I had been promised $100 ecard for the delays. After waiting and not receiving anything, I decided to call for the 3rd time! I tell you it was awesome the rep that I spoke with. I will never forget, Ewanda Mosley from the resolution department. She was courteous, knowledgeable and went beyond the call of duty to resolve my issue. I am not sure if you can request a rep when you call this department, but if you can, this is the person to request. I truly believe this is the best hiring decision Home Depot has ever made! I had to give this experience a 5 Star rating because my assistant from Pluming (Felix) was truly remarkable, and passionate about his job. I used to work for Home Depot when I was 16. It was one of my first jobs. I know how unwilling to help some folks there can be from an ex-employees perspective and from the perspective of someone who constantly shops there... but this man was amazing and one of a kind. The kind of service you want and need when going to a Home Depot, not the type they have unfortunately popularized. I just bought a new Samsung fridge that didn't quite come equipped with the proper tubes or parts. I went in and found Felix after being kindly guided to the Plumbing department by a young guy from Paint wearing glasses. Upon reaching pluming, I see Felix running around like a maniac, taking care of 5 people at a time. The man seemed to know what he was talking about and everyone was all over him like the Pluming messiah. I showed his the photos attached and explained to him what I needed. Apparently what I was looking for was very specific and out of stock... to sum it up he pretty much put the pieces together and recommended I buy three pieces that once combined would give me the results I needed. Once home, I did what Felix recommended, and in no time I was able to fix my fridge problem and the waterline was working excellently! Thank you, Felix! I told the manager to commend him for his great service, that he was that motherfucker!! He asked me to take the survey on the receipt but to leave out the "motherfucker" part. So I came to Yelp... As far as Home Depot goes, I would say this location is pretty sweet! I find that it is better stocked than the location in the Grove, so I tend to visit this one more often. Bonus is that they have a nursery outside - so if you're looking for plants in the area this is definitely a spot to go to. Parking is ample, and of course on the weekends you can expect your standard Home Depot situation: lines, lots of people etc. However - they do have self checkout which makes a quick trip a breeze. When I do ask for help, which is literally every time I am in Home Depot since apt decorating is new to me, I have always found someone to assist me. They do speak mostly Spanish (we are on calle ocho here), but that is a-ok with me. Returns here are also easy (re apartment decorating being new). And the last, non-home related perk of any home depot visit: the Coca-Cola in a glass bottle! I'm not talking our standard US sodas here - these are the real deal made with real sugar. She tried scanning the Combat Roach Killer trap Barcode 23400 99774 and she was not able to she told me that this item was not appearing that maybe it was a new item so she send me to bring another one. Can you please check and add this to system so someone else won't have to go through what I went. I went and got another one but told her that she needed to call a Supervisor or anyone from the Floor and not send me this is very poor Customer Service. Of all the Home Depot's the one at 3030 SW 8th Street has to be the worst. There isn't one employee that you ask for an item that knows what it is or where to find it. But the WORST part all is the Miami Police that are there. Today, I came to buy some items for one one of the properties that I manage and two police cars side by side each other shooting the breeze with a third car parked behind. You had to go around the two cars on the walk way of the pedestrians to pass to be able to go down the other isle, because they didn't care. WHE'RE COPS AND WE CAN DO THIS. So it looks like this location can get SUPER busy because of its location south and west of downtown. I usually go to the one by MIA off 112 but my geolocation for my online order sent my items to Calle Ocho so off I went. I luckily was able to go over mid afternoon on a Friday to try and avoid the weekend project rush and traffic. It was a good move. I was just a few people back in the line to pick up my Internet order (by the time I left the return/pickup line was quite long). The clerks were really nice, and we did have to call the Internet purchase support because of a issue on a SKU (my fault, I ordered something that was bundled differently online than in store so we had to fix it differently than a normal return). They all pitched in to help get it resolved though so all is well and I really appreciate the customer service. read more

She was also paged twice, and she admitted she came to the customer service area for another reason. I got the correct bulbs and asked her to exchange them for me since she was at a cash register instead; she got someone to do the transaction, causing me to wait further. Yes, the checkout lines are long and many who come here may speak Spanish more fluently than English, but I've come here a handful of times and this store has always been OK for me. Pretty standard Home Depot stuff. Rarely do I require or ask for assistance, but the time I had to have blinds custom cut to length, there was a sweet older lady who was happy to accommodate. Also, when I needed some potting soil and a pot in mid-October when most stores had forgotten about their garden departments and were in their peak halloween season and starting to turn their garden centers into Christmas merchandising areas, I could still get what I needed here. I've come here as late as closing on a Friday or Saturday when I was working on a weekend home improvement project and I never felt the parking lot or the store were particularly sketchy and I certainly never felt unsafe. The self-serve checkout lanes are also definitely a bonus, though as other reviewers have mentioned, the lines for the checkouts are insanely long at times. Personally I wish there was a Lowe's a bit closer so I could comparison shop more readily, but for now, I'm OK with this Home Depot. read more

I came here for the plants! And plants I found... lots of them! This is actually the closest home depot to where I live. I live in Miami Beach (they should really make a home depot closer to home... like on the beach)! I came here with my mom looking for some indoor plants and we found a ton of plants to choose from! My mom was even surprised that they had such a large selection (she's a frequent Home Depot-er) unlike myself. They had a huge selection of succulents, orchids and small plants. They also had trees, seasonal flowers, larger plants and a wall full of pots/planters! If I could've fit the entire gardening section in the back of my car I would have but sadly I don't have that much damn space! But I took what I could which included a number of succulent/cactus plants, poinsettia, a few snake plants and some cute colored porcelain pots! I've been back a few times now, each time bringing back a handful of plants! I have NO IDEA what the rest of the store has to offer but I'm sure they're ok? Staff needs some work in the customer service department granted they were teenagers but still. Also, this is a great place if you're looking to buy a Christmas tree! We found an 8-9 ft tree for about $60! They trim the stump for you, wrap it up so you can put it on your car and also sell the bases for about $10. read more

I had a fence installed by the Home Depot Fencing service department. While the fence itself was installed well, there was damage to my outside water spigot. The contract with the Home Depot states that the installers will use my electrical outlet and water spigot, and I saw the installers using both. Unfortunately, the hose was pulled tightly to reach the new fence and the spigot was damaged. The installers did not have the courtesy (nor the English) to inform me that the spigot had been damaged. When I reached out to the Director of Operations, she said that the spigot was old and that I signed off on the work. I didn't even realize that there was damage until a day later! I guess that Home Depot services work well as long as there are no problems. If there are problems, the company does not seem to want to take any responsibility. I had trouble with getting a response regarding this issue and no accountability. I would not recommend unless you are sure that there will be no issues with your fence installation and if you are sure, check all aspects of the work before the installers leave! read more

Reading a few of the reviews, I want to address store 277's customer service. First off, don't be a dick and yell across half the store about wanting to see the manager. Second, if you don't know what you're doing, ask for help - as many employees as Home Depot has on hand, their primary purpose isn't stopping to check on every confused patron staring at a row of nails and screws. Nothing would get done, I swear. Lastly, their computer systems look new, but there is only so much control you have over a wireless network - be a little patient, especially when you're processing online returns. This store is my chosen Home Depot in the area. I live next door to another, and my project sites are generally in Miami Gardens, which has a centrally located Home Depot, but I will always return to this location. Why? Because their customer service, lumber selection, and garden center (okay, their herb selection could be better, but it varies seasonally) goes beyond any other store I've ever visited. As of today, that's 8 Home Depots within the county, from NMB to Doral to Cutler. Yes, my lack of Spanish is an issue here, but I've always been able to find the help I needed. The ProDesk team here is absolutely amazing - if you shop here for work, as I do, they are the friendliest staff, and they follow up with you personally. Last month, one of my orders was a day delayed from the delivery side, and Marcia and Arlen made sure I knew what was happening. The loading crew (Thank you, Brandon!) is always willing to help me pack like, 80 bags of soil into my humid/ridiculous cargo van. The paint desk ... has been hit or miss from what I've witnessed. However, when I went today, I came with a medium-length list of exactly what colors, finishes, and type of paint needed and DJ was on it - sure it took awhile, but the employees behind the paint desk didn't stop moving once. While I waited, I watched two separate parties start an order with little to no clue what they wanted and the employee helped them step by step. The only drawback that I have about this store are the day laborers who mill around the lot. Some are friendly, some are creepy, and one got a bit aggressive, even after I politely and loudly exclaimed "no thank you, I can do this on my own". Not always, but it's happened, and as a result, I tend to pull my van into the loading dock so it's in view of the employees. But this isn't the fault of Home Depot. If I could attach a sound bite here, it'd be me ringing that cowbell loud and proud. read more

Awful experience at this location. Looked like some big-wigs came in for the day, their only concern is the store facings. Per usual, you can't find anyone to assist. I found a manager and he called someone over because I needed an item off the rack. I did the courtesy of going online to check the item number so they could pull it promptly, however they seemed to not believe me and said it would be 10 minutes before they could get it down. NO PROBLEM on my end, except it took about 25 minutes. I go to retrieve my last item and the aisle is closed for almost another 15 minutes. Which they allowed me to go inside quickly to pickup my 30 sand bags and carry my heavy cart across the store. As I'm in the check out line, where I can pull up my truck, I'm looking at the cashier who is on her phone and chewing gum as she helps the customer in front of me then proceeds to tell me she's closed after standing there for a few minutes. I wheeled my heavy cart down to a narrow register that I barely fit in and almost left my $367 purchase there for the staff to deal with. Unfortunately I really needed these items. The only thing that I didn't waste my time on that hour and a half visit was this review. Will be going out of my way to the nearest Lowe's for my next hardware visit. read more

This one is actually one of the better locations. After constantly having to run back and forth here, I've come to find that this location is much more stocked than the one on US1. I needed an outdoor mesh for this covering in my house and although it's a pretty basic item, they were the only ones that actually had it. There's more aisles, sections, inventory, and of course employees. It's located right in the heart of Miami neighboring the area of Little Havana, Brickell, and Coral Gables. Whether it's an apartment, townhouse, or home that needs some accessories- you can source them through here. I don't see myself wasting my time going to the other location when this one has more of what I need for my backyard. The plants here are great and I was able to pick up plenty of greenery for my entranceway and backyard. Knowing me, I'll be back twice more this week.
