This location of Home Depot has fueled more home projects than I could possibly count. My husband and I are frequent customers. We have bought most of the paint for our house here. We always find what we need quickly as the store is pretty organized. The staff have always been helpful when we couldn't find something. We find the prices to be more affordable than other big box hardware store stores. read more

We had flooring installed through the HD in Forest Park...4k for a not so great job. Yes, we've filed a complaint they (Home Depot) are passing the proverbial "buck". Service was not acceptable . They did provide flooring replacements, however, we would need to pay additional cost to install...WHAT?! I have an ongoing issue that "supposedly', is being addressed by the company. Okay, it did take a few trips! I was installing a new disposal. I had questions galore. The plumber came, the electrician, a gentleman who has worked there forever, and the entire appliance section. So helpful. The bigger issue was initially I could not find my receipt. Jacob let me know the store policy and gave me some possible options-without shutting me down. He was so friendly and pleasant. This review is for the shipping process at Home Depot, it sucks, its unreliable. I was told when I ordered my item it was to be delivered on 12-6-24; it didnt show up then it changed to delayed will be delivered 12-9-24,; still wasnt delivered; says delayed. The company they use for delivery which is ONTRAC is horrible. I will never use Home Depots shipping option ever again. I will just have it delivered to the store. WOW! First things first....im a procrastinator extraordinaire! I bought a water heater from Home Depot on 7/26/24. I just got around to attempting installing it today (10/15). I got it out and it was punctured. I called the store and the young man said I would have to buy another one???? lol I asked for a manager and they returned the old one (UPS picks it up tomorrow) and sent a new one over within 2 hours! I went into the store around 8:50pm to buy soil. Garden Center was closed and nobody seemed to be working that area. I went up to the self-checkout to try to purchase the dirt I needed. The cashier seemed very confused and kept insisting I wanted mulch at one point saying "I don't know what 'dirt' means to you- are you sure you don't mean mulch?" I finally hit on the word 'topsoil' and that brought up options I could purchase. I ended up buying 4 large bags of topsoil and some mulch, as it was on sale. The cashier told me to pull my car to the set-up in the parking lot and a guy would load the bags in my car. Note: Dirt=topsoil at Home Depot. Shouldn't be a hard code to crack, but she seemed very confused. I pulled my car up to the parking lot station, but they did not have the topsoil. The guy there told me I'd have to go back into the store, walk to the garden area and get it myself. I said I'd need help and he said there'd be someone to help me. I expressed my thoughts that it would be unlikely given my previous experience 10 minutes earlier. I re-park my car and I go back into the store- no flat carts. I walk back to the garden center- no flat carts... Well, several of them, but they have various go-backs on them. I see two guys in the back chatting and ask them for help. They tell me if I want flat carts, I have to go out into the parking lot to get one myself. They did not seem inclined to help- even when I said I needed help. I went to the return/customer support area to return the topsoil as I could not find a flat cart and was not interested in trying to man handle 4 giant bags of dirt over the side of a basket cart. I told that guy about the issues- he said "I'm sorry." I said- "I don't really need any more apologies- I needed help." He just processed the return and repeated he was sorry and turned away. Overall- a $35 sale that the store lost because they couldn't follow their own system for getting the items to the customer's car. I won't be returning to this Home Depot. read more

I tried buying a few portable AC units at Home Depot (Forest Park) when summer began. My coupon I received in the mail wasn't working and the employees couldn't figure out why. Ryan Cox was called up to "help". His card says he is the "Operations Assistant Store Manager"... Unfortunately, he was an arrogant, condescending, unprofessional individual that has no business being in a leadership position. I see many other negative reviews from this store and it's no surprise. With "leaders" like that, you're bound to fail. read more

A decent Home Depot location overall. I can honestly say I had never stepped foot in this location until a couple of weeks ago when I needed a key made. I've gotten keys made at other locations in the past so I knew they would be good for it. In trying to find their key making station I noticed that they had Christmas trees and decorations out already..it was the beginning of October..I mean, I love Christmas and all, but it seemed a bit extreme..I dunno. I finally tracked down the station and picked the key design I wanted to use for my copies. Then I asked the nearest employee if they could get someone to help me with getting my copies made. Then I waited..and waited..and waited. It had to be at least 15 minutes before somebody came over. About 10 minutes into the wait the original employee that I had asked walked by and commented "Oh they haven't come over to help yet?" and I was like "nope"..and then the wait went on. When the employee capable of running the machine finally showed up he was overly apologetic and blamed something or other for the wait. It's whatever..not going to let it ruin my day. The guy was nice and the keys were ready to go very quickly. So yeah, I mean, the keys got copied, the employees I dealt with were nice..just maybe they should have more people that can operate the machine so uneeded waits on non-busy days don't have to happen. read more

I shop at this Home Depot quite frequently. They usually have what I need, but it's always hard to find what you're looking for and associates tend to ignore you. My stop today was to look for a sink cap to replace a kitchen sink sprayer since I bought a new faucet that includes the sprayer in the spout. I began my search in plumbing, but quickly realized it would most likely be near the faucet area. I navigated to the back of the store to the kitchen section and found the faucets. There were three associates and none acknowledged me as I search for a good 5 minutes. I finally asked an associate as she was hurrying by if she knew where they were. She just said in the aisle on a hanging clip. So, I walked back down the aisle toward the end and saw them. A good tip is to look on the Home Depot website before you head to the store. It will tell you how many of what you need are in stock and which aisle it's located in. I usually do this and it's easy to navigate the store when I know where I'm headed. This latest trip was last minute so I knew I'd be searching a bit for what I needed. Overall, I like this store. Parking lot is a bit of a mess, but I can usually get in and out pretty quickly. I've only run into a few occasions where this store did not have what I needed and I had to order online from Amazon. I also do find the staff not as helpful as when I'm in Lowe's. read more

We are always working on little projects around our house, so living within ten minutes of this place has been great! The employees have always been helpful, and they almost always have what we need. I can only thing of a couple times where I have had to go somewhere else. Place is pretty clean, and it's usually easy to find help if you need it. They tend to have a "dirtier" feel than Lowe's. They had what I needed, but it did take me a while to figure out where everything was. Front of the store looked dirty too (maybe from all the mud covered rental equipment) I used to view Home Depot as like the Target compared to Lowe's/ Walmart. But, Lowe's has been consistent and HD seems to not invest as much money back into their stores. When possible I drive the further distance to the Lowe's. read more

I really don't understand this . They open at 6am . I'm coming to purchase materials to build a 20X20 deck . I get there at 6:30 with list in hand . The cashier Katie calls the manager to met us down the isle . When the manager comes he says we need to go to the pro desk and get a printout. Go back to Katie and she says there is no one working and to come back at 8 . Another associate overheard her and pulled me to the side and said let him find me help cause she shouldn't of said that . Kurtis comes to help . I show him the list and he pulls half my order and proceeds to leave to go help another customer (white man) . I ask Kurtis why would he stop helping me to help someone else . As far as Home Depots goes, this location is fine. After not being able to find what we looking for at a local recycle/ repurposing store, we decided to check in here. We did find what we were looking for, and at a competitive price. Customer service was lacking. One employee asked how we were doing, and if he could answer any questions. He genuinely seemed interested in helping us. He even demonstrated some features on the product. The other six employees we passed all seemed to turn their backs and fiddle with items in an attempt pretend they did not see us. Seriously, they were not holding the items until we got within a few feet of them. Even the woman manning the self checkout said "thank you for shopping at Home Depot" with a remarkable amont of distain. I rented a wood chipper and it only worked a few minutes before a pulley broke. Had to return it and there was no other one available. My contract was voided so there was no cost aside of the wasted gas, time and effort. read more

Went into the store this evening about 7 PM looking to order some custom blinds there were two employees working in the flooring Department which handles blinds . After 20 to 25 minutes of looking over different blind options neither employee acknowledged me one was cutting blinds and the other one was on the phone , I asked the employee who was cutting blinds was there another associate that may be able to assist me. He pointed me towards the front desk and still had and knowledge me nor my concerns . As I went to the front desk the associate continued to talk on the phone he never knowledge me or let me know he'll be right with me as soon as he could. A complete waste of my time. read more

My experience at this store would have been laughable, had I not just finished a long day at work. I needed only a few items. Many workers standing around chatting. When I needed assistance, I had to interrupt their chat session for help. No one knew where to look, so they used an app on their phones to give me directions. No one cared to help me at all. When I complained on my way out, I was told that shift change must've been the problem. Wow, way to go management. I'll drive out of my way to go to Lowe's next time. read more

This Home Depot has the best service. On my last trip in the greeter was great at engaging my 3 year old. She showed him some of the Halloween decorations and made him feel special. I had a couple keys made and the guy working that area was just as friendly. Also the guy working in plumbing went out of his way to make sure I was getting the parts I needed, plus commented on my t-shirt which lead to a whole other friendly discussion. We went to buy ain't for our front, unsure as to the type needed for an exterior door. The young man at the paint counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was even able to match the paint chip we had and mixed it right up. While there we also researched the idea of putting down pavers along our garden pathway. There were many styles, colors, shapes and sizes all in varying price ranges. We came home and measured the area for our next trip in to Home Depot. read more

Today, Well let's start off like this this is about service animals I understand people need him especially veterans coming home and other folks. However what I see people bring in dogs into the store just because their dogs or trying to pass them off as service animals without the proper collars proper vest that a true service animal would have I have to draw the line. Today I want to know Home Depot a lady had two little dogs on a leash leashes. I'm disabled have to use a cane and a cart when I go into the store for stability I finally wound up in the area where I saw the dogs with the lady coming around the corner totally forgot until I slipped in a pile or a puddle of pee the cart kept me from falling but I did slip. Anyone knows with a service animal if this happens in the store your responsibility is to clean it up you don't walk off and leave it I tried to explain to the people at the service desk their answer well we can't stop them from bringing dogs in so be warned people if they're not service animals in the store they're not allowed watch your step Home Depot don't care! We're here a lot. Home Depot and to a lesser extent, Lowes are our go-to stores for home improvement supplies. Today was not much different than any other trip here, but I do wish they'd work out the kinks for helping people get through the self check out line. Two people couldn't figure it out. The instructions are fairly simple, but first timers often have problems and the helper just rushes them through without educating them for the next time. Whew! This has got to be one of the worst building placements I've seen. It's no small feat to find your way to this Home Depot's front door. Nestled back behind several other businesses, well back from the road, this place is easy to miss (and if you're not careful, you'll get right on to I-275 instead - happened to me). Once you're in, though, it's just like any other Home Depot. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the place is laid out just as you'd expect. No need to go on and on, I think. I had a pallet of shingles delivered on 7/26/2019 and when I got there, my brand new garage door was destroyed. There were scrapes going down the driveway and an enormous dent the exact size and shape of the pallet of shingles. I made a claim with Home Depot and they passed me on to their insurance company who passed me on to XPO, the delivery company. Since I wasn't there during the delivery and the driver denies breaking my door, they are all saying they have no responsibility. I have two contractors who will verify that the door was fine and functional the evening before. It would be an amazing coincidence if something else made the same size and shape damage on the exact same day as the delivery. Please. I paid Home Depot for the delivery. They did not even mention a different company would be delivering. They were the ones who chose the company and facilitated the delivery. They should reimburse me. I'm out nearly $1000 because Home Depot won't back their contractors. read more

This has been the WORST curbside pickup I have ever experienced. After 30 MINUTES I called the store and talked with the manager. Ten minutes after that my order finally came out. The manager even tried to gaslight me and tell me that when I had call I'd only told staff I was on my way. I never called. I am soooo disappointed with Home Depot. I had high expectations. they had to come to house 4 different times 1-measurement which was incorrect. 2-put carpet in but couldn't finish because of time 3-came to finish but didn't have enough 4-finish putting carpet. This process started November 15 and I called almost every week. They kept saying someone will call you back. February 11 they offered $150 I said that's not even 10% so someone was to call me back again. March 2 I received a Final offer type notice of $150 and they want me to sign to release them of any responsibilities. I had to take off work 4 times unexpectedly and you want to give me $150 for the inconvenience. If I could I would return everything based on customer service. Worst ever. read more

Visited this Home Depot off of Colerain avenue in search of a washer and dryer set. I have to admit, it's been a long time since I've visited a store with so many workers who apparently despise their job. I now remember why I always shopped Lowe's instead. I walked in with my wife and she picked out the models she liked the best... Then spent about 15c minutes waiting for someone to come to help us middle the purchase. Finally, a woman walked up and my wife had to go begin the conversation. Lord knows the worker wasn't going to, no one else in the store had yet either. My wife asked the woman if she worked in the appliance section. The woman shrugged her shoulders and said "sometimes"... My wife and I both looked at her confused as we were really hoping for a pro at appliances, since that's what home depot advertises. Instead of a pro, we got a part time shoulder shrugger. After asking about the appliances and getting the price agreed on (we had a coupon we had to ask about)... We were finally ready to go when another worker came out of the wood work. This worker came up and said something to the woman in a whisper. Then joined in on the conversation we were having. My wife explained how happy she was to finally be ready to leave. By this time we had been in the store for almost an hour. We handed the coupon to the woman and the man chimed in letting us know that our coupon couldn't be used because the appliances had a sale price. The woman and the man then had a conversation that I couldn't hear. Then he reiterated that it wasn't allowed in policy to use coupons on sale items. The woman who had been helping us stood quietly. I was blown away by not only the lack of friendliness or help we had experienced up until this point... But now I was astonished at the ignorance and lack of compassion of tree workers. According to this man, they weren't going to honor the pricing that the woman had given us (it was a difference of only about $50). Irritated at the experience and having wasted our morning, my wife told them never mind. She told them we would just the make the purchase at lowes instead. The man and woman both smiled and said "okay" then walked off from us. Maybe the man whispered that he was going to get rid of us because it was break time... Because after that they disappeared. I was okay with going to Lowe's for the appliances, but I told my wife I wanted to get some electrical parts for a home project. Long story short I picked up the wire nuts and outlets that I needed (again with no one in sight) and I went to tyre checkout. The outlets rang up at a different price than what was on the shelf and the machine wouldn't read the bar code on another item. I had to walk over and get the cashier because she wasn't paying attention to the registers... Well unless of course she could see them on get phone. Once she came over she just looked at me and raised her eye brows... As if I had interpreted her some how. Eventually, she got me rang out... But I'll never go back to home depot with a purchase again. I can't understand how a company like this manages to stay open. read more

I usually come here instead of going to Lowe's because they cost less. I have found the employees are really nice and extremely helpful in the store and would recommend the store to anyone. I found you have to check and see how long somebody's worked there and kind of make sure they know what they talking about before you get advice, but again very helpful people And most of them that I've talk to did know what they were talking about. read more
