If I could select zero stars I would. I had ordered countertops online for delivery from the store, and my order was cancelled with no notification. I had to call customer service to find out the carrier had dropped that day. I replaced my order, and they sold what was in stock even though I had an open order. they canceled my order, again with no contact or email notification. If it's in my power I won't be shopping at Home Depot in Billings again. read more

This Home Depot has friendly employees and willing to help in all situations. It's important to have kind and generous employees, so as to make the customer feel warm and welcome. we purchased an entry door, with guaranteed installation from home depot. it took four months for the door to arrive and once it was installed the door was sticking. we had the installer come back to adjust the door for proper operation. the installer used a crowbar on the door and crushed it and left saying the job was done to industry standards. we notified Home Depot of the incident, provided pictures to show proof that the door had NO damage prior to adjustment Home Depot sent the installers back out to take new measurements for the door since they blamed the damage on improper measurements. the installers showed up (2men). and theygot in my wife's face (she was home alone) she felt threatened and told them to leave we went back to Home Depot and notified their management of the assault but they didn't care. now we are fighting with Home Depot trying to get our $3000 door fixed which they keep denying. DO NOT do business with this septic tank of a business. there is no concern for the customer at all and they are ok with how their installers treat/threaten their customers. I'd give them a ZERO but there is not that option read more

I wish this store had better service. If they realized how much business they are turning away, maybe they would start staffing their design department. I have visited the store 5 times without being able to even talk to someone about buying blinds for my entire home. 5 times. I am also looking to replace my kitchencabinets but never do I find someone that can tell you anything about what they have. Not one of the several associates I passed acknowledged me. At 7.5 months pregnant they saw me struggling to load my own wood, not one offered assistance. While checking out I asked for someone to help me unload the wood. While waiting, an associate offered to help another customer unload his stuff but just looked at me and walked away. Terrible customer service. I will not be back to this store again. I'll stick with Lowe's. read more

Accused of shoplifting... We have spent thousands over recent years at Home Depot, most recently on a complete house remodel. Last evening I returned an item, and decided to browse some lumber. Not 5 minutes later, as an employee was helping me, I was approached by a uniformed officer and a "loss prevention" guy. He flat out accused me of shoplifting 2 days prior with a couple of other guys. Apparently an employee "thought" I was one of these people. This "loss prevention" could barely even breathe, and needed to support himself by holding onto a shelf. I had to chuckle that this was the best Home Depot could come up with for loss prevention...mostly to remain calm. The officer, who was pleasant and non-accusatory, actually seemed perturbed at the loss prevention guy. I'm guessing this is not the first time this has happened. I understand mistakes happen, but there was not even an apology of any sort, or a thanks for your time. You need to be damn sure if are going to accuse somebody of shoplifting, you are certain it is that person...especially two days later. It was the approach that was all wrong. Needless to say, I will take my business across the street, unless I have no other choice. And I suppose if I do walk back into this store at some point, I will keep my hands out of my pockets?!?! read more

I like home Depot, but I consider myself above the norm on the Handyman Scale. When you go to a Home Depot, have a least a vague idea of what you need or want. Most of the people that work there, do just that. They work there. Many don't use the tools they sell or would know where to begin on a flooring project or hanging drywall. This particular HD is understaffed, so finding help can be more difficult than it usually is, but if you do find someone, they are usually helpful and friendly. Many of them are senior citizens. I have a feeling the labor force is reduced due to the oil boom in nearby North Dakota. I see a lot of help wanted signs in a lot of storefronts. The key to this, and all Home Depots is be patient, and help them by helping yourself.They can't read your mind. Don't be an idiot, know what you're looking for, know what you need and know what you're dealing with. read more

We recently used Home Depot for new carpeting. It was a horrible experience. What should have been a two day job took 63 days. The carpet that was fused together was 2 different colors. They had to re order it whicjh took another 4 weeks. We Te Easter dinner on our laps because furniture was in the dining room. They also said they move furniture but anything to heave or complicated was a fee or move it ourselves. Everyone Advertises don't they!!! read more

My wife and I ordered a stove from there the Monday before Black Friday on Nov 25. At that time they stated that it would 5-10 business day till delivered. On Dec 6 my wife called and spoke with HD and they stated that the stove had shipped. Dec 13 my wife called again, HD now said that it was on back order and did not know when it would come in. I spoke with Daniel the manager on Dec 13 and stated that we needed a stove before Christmas. Daniel stated he had three options, $150 off a floor model that would have still been 200$ more than the stove ordered , or $150 a model that was twice as expensive or return our money. It had been 15 business days since ordering and the previous week we were told it had shipped. I want to thank Daniel for not working with us. We called Sears that night, got a stove delivered the next day and for a better price. Thanks again HD read more
