Back when we first hired them in 2018, they were very good..As the years went by they started phoning it in. Things were overlooked. Guests started to complain.. Dog poop in the yard for instance.. Then we learned that Bob was retiring and one of his employees, Matt would be taking over the company.
Bob's billing practices were often a bit random with some months we were billed monthly and other times, every few months, which made it hard to budget for me. In at least 2 instances, I didn't receive a bill that he thought he sent or his system didn't send. He had so many clients it must have been difficult to keep track. He would then blame me for missing a payment.
Early this year, I had some friends at the house doing extensive repairs on the house which The Home Concierge had ignored or not bothered to tell me about. On the morning of checkout, the doorframe of our laundry fell apart and my friend was desperately trying to repair it.
Matt came in the house and instead of trying to help, began yelling at my friends and throwing things. He claimed that I did this on purpose because I am so self-centered. Then he told Bob, who has not yet retired, that I caused this terrible situation and they needed to fire me, which they did.
I think what was really going on is that I had been to stay in the house a month or so before this incident and complained about the condition of the property, including black marks on walls, filthy A/C filters, no toiletries in the bathroom because they forgot that housekeeping had told them we were out..my list of issues was extensive and I don't think Matt wanted to take responsibility for half-assed service.
They used to be a good company. I think that ship has sailed. read more
