This was my first remodel project so I had no idea how it would go. I wanted to convert a bedroom…read moreinto another master, with a bathroom and extra closet space. Guillermo was very patient with all my questions and took the time to explain every step of the way. The Desert Pride team completed the project within the proposed time frame. They were professional and respectful. I highly recommend Desert Pride and plan to use them again for my future projects.

After requesting an estimate thru Yelp, we were immediately contacted by Desert Pride's owner and then our Project Manager, Ruben Aceves. Ruben called to discuss our project and then came out to our home within a day. He was extremely polite and accommodating, yet unassumingly confident. He listened, asked some questions, made some very insightful recommendations, took some pictures and sent us a solid estimate as promised. Once we retained them, Ruben was our phenomenal daily point of contact. He worked with us closely to understand and meet our every wish. He came to the house every day and texted throughout the day to let us know who was coming, when and what to expect. Ruben was so knowledgeable and laid back that he gave us advice on things we were considering doing outside their scope of work. (i.e. new front doors thru Home Depot and some flooring thru a friend of a friend.) The project turned out more beautifully than we imagined. Everything was completed on time and there were no surprises on pricing or timeliness. Even when we changed our minds on some of the details, Ruben didn't flinch or hit us up with a change order. I can't promise that everyone will get such amazing treatment, because we're just one customer, but I'll never consider anyone other than Desert Pride for any future needs.

Owes us over $4,000, we've been ghosted, even his workers will not return. Left equipment onsite, he's moved onto his next project in Los Angeles leaving us and I'm sure others behind. Gio, Marco and all of their team members are absolutely incredible!…read more I had a leak underneath my bathtub due to an old drain. I got it fixed once before but the issue came back, so I decided it was time to rip the bath rub out and install something new. I reached out to a bunch of contractors in the Palm Springs area and got people over to provide me with quotes. Turns out some did not have proper licenses (yet advertise they do), some quoted me for labor but wanted me to go buy all the parts and tiles, some showed up an hour late etc. Gio made a perfect impression. He communicated well about his ETA, talked me through the process and provided me with a rough estimate. Later that evening, he sent me a quote via email with the breakdown and I also got to select the tile at that point. Gio had also renovated bathrooms in a few other condos in my HOA, which definitely gave me even more confidence. I paid the down-payment and Marco showed up a few days later with his workers. They put down paper and plastic everywhere to try and keep my place as clean and dust free as possible. They ripped out the bathroom in one day. Then the plumber came to redo plumbing. He rebuilt the pipes and drain, which was definitely needed. They then left water standing in the drain during the weekend to make sure it wouldn't leak (it didn't). Then the tilers took about 3 days doing the sides and floor. On the final day, the plumber came back to install the fixtures and sliding door. Start to finish, the labor took a week. The workers always showed up within the hour that they said they would. Gio and Marco were super available via call and text when needed. And everyone was super friendly. I can't thank them enough for the amazing job they did.

We still have no outside lights and no garage lights. They do not turn on, also the breaker that's linked to those lights will not stay on. If the contractor Scott, would have already send somebody to service the lights he would know it is a direct result of his shoddy workmanship. In addition, the disposal under the kitchen sink he installed literally fell apart. We no longer trust in his workmanship so we had it repair ourselves. I'm glad the scope was inspected by someone other than Scott; at least I can trust the building authority to performed his job accurately. Now he wants to charges us a substantial amount that we did not agreed upon and If he was any bit serious about keeping goals. He would have kept his November 4, date of completion not cutting it one day short of Christmas Eve; and had more that just one employee singlehandedly remodel our home. Not to mention his employee confided in us about how Scott fail to paid him on time and how bitter he was and how the employee was working half ass!

He really seems to know what he's doing as far as his vision on how to transform a space. However, this was the last time I spoke to him. He never got back to me on anything he said he would do. I called a couple of times, left voicemails, and nothing. Wish we could have worked together as I was excited to work with him on my home project. Won't be doing any business with this company anymore due to his lack of follow through. A simple phone call with an I'm too busy at the moment would've been just fine. So Scott finally called back... he must have seen my review. He apologized for not getting back to me and added that he would have an estimate done and sent to me by Friday. This was a Monday when he left his message. Well, it is now a Monday a week later and as you can guess I don't have anything from him again. Strike two Scott. I edited this review to not have to create a new one with 1 star and drop your rating once again. I hope you understand how many people actually rely on these websites and how businesses really benefit from them or in your case do not. Please follow through with future customers! It's simple, if you're too busy or the job is too small have the courtesy and honesty to turn people down or give them a time table of when you'll be available instead of leaving them with the hopes that something will get done.
