With the stunning Rogue River flowing right through the backyard, sitting on the patio was an absolute delight. Lora Jean was welcoming and knowledgeable, we found ourselves popping into the lobby more than once just to chat with her. A few highlights: - EV charger on site (always a win) - Quiet room (Tuesday night in June) and not to mention, clean. - Sink is located outside of the bathroom (huge plus), so you're not waiting for someone to finish a shower to brush your teeth or wash your face! - Warm, friendly morning staff. Then they decided to move locations, and implement a preschool, and overnight developed some superiority complex, thinking that they can kick out the babies at 11:30, because their "preschool" is starting. Nowhere do they mention this as I'm purchasing an unlimited day pass. I walked in there one day only to be kicked out, not even a half an hour later. Not even a free pass, apology, nothing, just orders... so much for being loyal...no more. Stop supporting businesses, even if they're local, if they don't appreciate your business.

The poor quality of the track cannot be blamed on money issues, it just wasn't done right. Something needs to be done to draw people back to taking part in the fair, and Mutton Busting is not the answer! Clark was the desk clerk on duty and greeted us with such enthusiasm and kindness. He thanked us profusely for being platinum elite members and said he had already upgraded us before we could even ask. The room was clean and certainly large enough for our one night stay. For the price, amenities, security, and convenience- THIS place is the best one in Grants Pass. They have military discounts, and belong to the Sonesta company so you can earn points, but don't require a downloaded app- only a log-in on their website. Both times I've stayed there, the front desk staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Their off-street parking lot is spacious and well lit. Front desk area is separated by the pool area from the rooms. Video monitoring at all times throughout the hotel. Room key required to badge into the building. The entire hotel smells like bleach/cleaning supplies- which I don't mind but may bother some people. Rooms are clean and furniture is modern. The beds are comfortable, and pillows are fluffy. Hot water temperature is perfect, and water pressure is wonderful. The extra amenities that I enjoyed at the hotel are: a handful of red bicycles that can be used by customers. My family and I used them to ride to a bike park the first time we stayed there. Red Lion Inn also has complimentary passes to a gym in Grants Pass. The gym has everything imaginable from swimming pool to sauna to workout classes to child care, to safe Gymboree-type area for kids to play. Red Lion Inn also has its own pool, but I have never had a chance to use it. This hotel also has breakfast included at the main office building. They have fairly standard breakfast options: coffee, juice, bananas, apples, yogurt, muffins... more fresh options would be nice, but during my last stay, the breakfast served its purpose. When I checked in tonight this very elderly old woman proceeded to try and lie and say I did not have that in my notes. I pulled up the reservation to show her. She then said...well that's through Expedia a 3rd party vender and we don't honor what they ask. I've only ever booked through Expedia and never had issues before. This rude mean unhelpful woman proceeded to talk over me and be extremely rude. On the way out she was very condescending telling me to enjoy my stay. I have never been treated like this by staff here. Iam shocked.
