Off of Ridge rd & Rt 6. The Hive is a catering center, which also does a Wed nite dinner for offering, along with special occasion meals. This is simply to-go. Upon entering, they have coolers in both sides of the door , with meals to go , or sides and dessert. Pickup on Wed dinners are between 4-6 pm. Everything is fresh, service is great. They will do curbside, or delivery for a small fee. What I like is, I appreciate the thought by the chefs that are put into each meal they create. Everything is paired excellently with forethought, and care. The meals usually have a slight twist or flair to it. If you do a pickup of a Wed nite meal, things will have to be re-heated. But it usually for less than 30 min at a moderate temp. I don't know anything about the catering side but, am reasonably sure, it is fabulous! Excellent food , friendly ladies. Whats not to like? Try it , you'll like it! I feel compelled to add to my review. Yesterday's supper was fantastic! Nice starter salad with toasted walnuts, and a great lemon vinaigrette. Soup was : Tomato , roasted fennel . This soup had a lot of depth to it. Excellent! Main was: Chicken Caprese on a french roll, ( I purposely cooked it longer in the oven to toast my roll). Great sandwich, lots of cheese. Kicker was the homemade pesto sauce. Yummo! Dessert: salted pecan choc chip cookies. Lot of love put into this. Again, what I like. I tired "Not Another Pizza Joint" which is within the Hive. I'm in town for the weekend and my friend and her mom suggested we have pizza from here for dinner. I was advised that the dough and sauce is homemade and once they sell out, that is it so we have to order early. Being from NY, I have very high standards when it comes to pizza. To be fair, I've had Chicago deep dish, which I think is delicious. We had a medium thin crust pie with pepperoni. It was just okay in my opinion. The dough did taste homemade and not processed, so I will give them that. I just felt something was missing. It needed some oomph. Also I learned that "thin crust" comes in a bag and regular crust and deep dish comes in a box. That's interesting. It was cheaper compared to NY prices. It came to just under $19. Staff was friendly when we picked it up. I was also surprised to see young kids/teens hard at work. High five to them! read more

Tried the pizza from NAPJ in the Hive Kitchen. I'll start by saying the Hive Kitchen is a super cool concept that, if I understand fully, allows anyone to rent the facility to make whatever it is they specialize in and sell it in the kitchen either pre-packed to go or potentially as a ready to eat item like the Not Another Pizza Joint. The Pizza from Not Another Pizza Joint was just OK. I watched them pull it out of the oven, which looked fantastic. There was an adequate amount of toppings and cheese; however, when I dug in, the pizza just needed something more. It was alright, but not great. The pizza sauce may need more spice, some spices sprinkled on top of the pizza before baking, or some sausage with a little more spices - it boils down to more seasoning required to make it stand out from the pack. I will likely try this place again, but I will be sure to ask for the pizza to be well done - I thought it could have used another 2-3 minutes in the oven. Again, pizza is alright, but there are better options. read more

1) Hive Kitchen. I have only tried the chicken pot pies, they were great, small for the price but fantastic buttery crust and chicken was delicious. 2) Not Another Pizza Joint (same space) I tried the deep dish pizza, good but not great. Crust was a little doughy ( might have needed 5 min more cooking time). Sauce was.......ok, I like a little more garlic and maybe basil to creat a signature sauce that people can't be without. Went to the Hive Kitchen last night and picked up 2 Chicken Pot Pies. I have to say these were the best Pot Pies I have ever eaten, so many huge chunks of Chicken. We also picked up a dinner of the Baked Ziti and had that for dinner tonite. Many it was the best. If you haven't tried the Hive, what are you waiting for, their food is amazing. This place is a true treasure. You can't eat in, but you can bring home a wide variety of homemade meals, sides and desserts/treats, not to mention amazing honey! I also think they have the BEST chicken salad on the planet. Very clean and always friendly!!! Reasonable prices. read more

I pre-ordered Thanksgiving dinner from The Hive so my son and I would have a nice, complete meal since we are not able to be with our family today after returning from Florida. I remember choosing pick up at noon on Wednesday but I somehow did not complete the order. I messaged and they let me know I didn't have a recent order. I explained little of my situation and asked if they knew of anywhere else that is still accepting orders. Then the magic happened...They checked with the caterers and put together a full and amazing meal for us We will be having turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, corn casserole, cranberries, and stuffing. I know how busy they are right now and did not have to take the time away from their work to help, but they did and my sad tears turned to happy tears I am extremely grateful for them going the extra mile to help me.
