The best auto service in Elizabethtown bar none! They offer expert service from routine auto…read moremaintenance, tire replacement, small repairs to major ones too. The best thing about this place is their honesty. For most people who don't know much about mechanics, me included, you won't have to worry about getting up sold unnecessary repairs or simply getting cheated. I've been coming here since we moved to Elizabethtown some 12 years ago and have appreciated the wonderful service Nelson, Fred and their team have provided to me and my family. They are always looking for ways to pass on the savings to their customers. All of our cars require full synthetic motor oil and that can be expensive. At the dealer or one of those quick lube places it runs about $80-$110 dollars for an oil change. It started out like that at discount tire then about 5 or 6 years I got a bill for about $45. I asked Nelson if they had used full synthetic since the cost was significantly lower, and he assured me that they did use full synthetic and the price was lower because they were buying it in bulk and it was much cheaper. Instead of profiting from the increased margin, they passed it onto their customers. On another occasion I needed a replacement part and if I got it from the manufacturer it would cost about $800 just for the part. Nelson said he could find a used part in good condition that was gonna cost me a fraction of that $800 (about $150) and that's what he did. No problems for a couple years to when I traded that car in. These are just two of the many examples of why they are the best and most honest auto service. I'll end my review with this anecdote. My daughter was home on a school break and I noticed her tires were worn and needed to be replaced. I did notice that all four had not worn evenly though I routinely rotated the tires. It may have been that I'd replaced 2 a couple years back but didn't remember. Regardless, I sent my daughter to get all 4 replaced so they would all match. An hour later my daughter called to say that Nelson recommended only two tires be replaced. I disregarded it and told her to get all 4 changed. She called me back and said, they refuse to replace all four tires, the two are barely worn and will last for another 40k miles. Haha. Two years later, no problems and yeah they look to have about the same wear, I can't tell the new from the old.

I am a senior citizen, and this is the first time I've ever heard and seen this type of behavior in a business. We enjoyed doing business with this location under Nelson's management for over 25 years! After what we heard and witnessed in the lobby with the new manager, we won't be back.

My wife's van broke down on the side of the road a couple of miles from A&M Automotive Solutions…read more The first shop I called said they couldn't get to us for over a week and we couldn't leave it with them. So, I hung up and called A&M and the lady who answered the phone gave me a similar timeline but told me I was more than welcome to leave the vehicle with them. After a AAA tow to A&M Automotive Solutions, the fun really began! When they finally did get to it they were initially unable to figure out what was causing the problem. Three weeks later, same story. Although the tech had a guess or two the owner wouldn't let him proceed without a definitive answer to the cause of the problem. They looked deep into the engine only to discover one of the cylinders was stuck open and had pretty much melted from top to bottom. Long story, short--we needed a new engine. Well, after doing the math and weighing all the pros and cons, my wife and I decided to buy a new vehicle. The owner of A&M was kind enough to let us keep the vehicle parked out back until we decided what we were going to do with it. We have since sold it to a salvage company. All in all, the only charged us for the diagnostic fee and a couple hours of labor although they put in way more than 2 hours. If your vehicle needs work or you just can't figure out what's wrong with it, give A&M Automotive Solutions a call--they won't do work on it that doesn't need to be done. And they will get to the bottom of your problem!

This was on Thursday. On Friday afternoon after watching it, I decided it needed to be checked. I tried at 3:00 pm to call several shops. This was the only shop that agreed to at least look at. They got it in, checked it out and said it was the alternator. They said the could replace it by their 5:09 pm closing time. I witnessed their interactions with a couple of customers, and I could tell they are an honest shop with integrity.
