i was in a m.v.a. on august 14th and was injured and was taken by ambulance to the hospital…read moreunresponsive and the officer at the scene called carl's towing. i had no choice in the matter and when i called the next morning, literally as soon as they opened and he told me yes come on up and we will talk about it. when i get there he says you can pay almost $500 for his services or pay $150 and sign the recipt and that would give him my car plus the $150 i had to pay to even look at my car, i only needed to get my important stuff from it and wasnt allowed until the money was paid and i signed the recipt. i had several personal belongings on my car and inportant papers that had my personal information on them, when i got to my car my laptop that was in my purse in the front seat was shoved up under the passenger seat and my medication i had in my purse was gone as well. the personal papers were gone to and i have had calls asking me to finish my requests, one for a walmart card and another from a car lot wanting to sell me a new car based on my request. i have not done anything to try for a new car because of insurance companies. the driver in the oposite vehicle gave the wrong information and i cant get anything done and i cant scrap my car for a possible down payment for a car because carls took my car. i have spoken with several diffrent organizations that say he is not allowed to do that, espically since my insurance company had not been notified of the accident and had no chance to even look at my car. in my opinion carls is a thief and shady. would not reccomend to anyone, not even someone i hate.

This was on Thursday. On Friday afternoon after watching it, I decided it needed to be checked. I tried at 3:00 pm to call several shops. This was the only shop that agreed to at least look at. They got it in, checked it out and said it was the alternator. They said the could replace it by their 5:09 pm closing time. I witnessed their interactions with a couple of customers, and I could tell they are an honest shop with integrity.

Yesterday could have turned into a nightmare, but THANKS to Latham Auto Repair they saved the day!!…read moreMy elderly parents 80 & 83 years old were traveling back home from a family wedding in Florida when they struck a car tire that was in the middle of the freeway. It was 4:30 in the evening they were in Kentucky and I was still in Florida. They told me parts of the car were torn off but I was obviously unable to assess the damage and let them know if the car was even drivable. I searched and found Latham Auto Repair on line and saw that they closed at 5:00pm. I spoke with Mr Latham (Craig?) and explained to him the situation. I asked him if my parents could get there before he closed if he would assess the damage and know if their car needed immediate repairs or was safe to drive home. He said he would stay there until they arrived and take care of it. My parents got there shortly after closing time. After assessing the vehicle Mr Latham had his mechanics remove some loose dragging pieces and give the car a thorough once over which GREATLY RELIEVED my parents and me!! They found a hotel and continued their journey the next day. A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Latham for being SO kind and helpful to complete strangers. Even though we had no repairs done if he treats all his customers with this type of integrity and service imagine how well he treats his regular customers. If I lived In Elizabethtown he would be my mechanic!

Now I am not a mechanic, I am guessing here what's need to be done and as long as I had my car, I haven't gotten a tune up. So I figured that is what is needed. When I asked about it, they said they will have the mechanic look at it. They took my car back and waited for a couple of hours. Finally my car was done. However, no one came and talked to me about my car of what's going on. When I finally was called up to the desk to pay, I had to ask her what they did, and she has to read the paper and all they did was change my spark plugs. My car has been running fine since, but still would have been nice to know if that was all or any other issue I need to be concerned about or get fix soon. I'll consider them possible next time depending on the issue.

No, you do not have to act like to want to annihilate all of those customers. I got up to the counter and was barely acknowledged, eyes glued to the computer screen and already looking annoyed. I told him I got my tires at a different location and needed to see if my alignment was under warranty, and that I needed my front passenger tire replaced. He huffed and puffed that he would "have to make a phone call" (oh, the agony!) because they don't have a system where they can look me up. The whole interaction was laced with irritability while I had to remind him multiple times which tire it was that we would replace. He seemed really put off that I had my license plate number at the ready and took his time putting in my information, acting like I was the one rushing him. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car in their care and after looking at the reviews, I'm glad. Being in the automotive business myself, creating a trusting relationship with the customer is key. I walked in considering asking if they were hiring. I wouldn't touch this place with a ten foot pole.
