The arcade was a huge hit, especially when we wanted a break from the heat, and the snack shack was perfect for grabbing a quick bite without having to leave the campground. There was always something to do, but it never felt crowded or chaotic. What stood out most was how comfortable and enjoyable the entire experience was. We arrived early prior our schedule and we were told by the associate to be in the dock 10 minutes prior boarding. It has a porta potty by the huge parking lot and were suggested to use it before going to the lake. Arriving earlier gave us half hour to enjoy the pedestrian walk path by the lake . A beautiful sight to behold. If only we have time, there is a walking trail along. The tour was enjoyable, our guide was amazing. The ride gave us the chance to explore the history behind this man made lake. We solved the relaxation we craved through this boat trip for this weekend. An enjoyable ride.

As soon as you get to the edge of the property, you are navigating a maze of tiny signs in Woodloch handwriting, trying to figure out where to turn to sign in. I made a couple of wrong turns. Once I got there, I had to figure out where the door was. Signing in was actually quite painless, mainly because other family members had signed in moments before, but I didn't get a map so I was lost the rest of the time, depending on others to navigate around (and we definitely had questions). Event timing. I missed out on a couple of events because things we wanted to do were double-booked. Then we had off time when nothing was booked. Why not spread things out throughout the day? Events themselves. We thought bowling would be fun. It was a hollow ball so that anyone any age could roll it. The bad bowlers did better than the good ones. That's what made me miss trivia, though perhaps that would have also been no fun. Okay: A nice house we got, though the living room had a bunch of wasps outside the window so I was definitely not happy there. Clear your nests. Also at least one of our cards went bad, but I wasn't staying more than a day so I didn't have to worry about that. Beers. A couple of locals, just poor selection overall. Good: Pools. Multiple. All ages, all temperatures. Too crowded outslde? Go inside. Three different hot tubs. Kiddie splash area inside, which added to my family's enjoyment when I accidentally discovered it while wandering inside to use the restroom. (Part of that being lost problem. Lack of signs for anything.) Food. Though it went on my family's tab, they will feed you whatever you want for whichever meals you sign up for. My family will enjoy breakfasts and dinners to their hearts' content. Very high quality meals. You are assigned a table and a server, for whatever that's worth to you - definitely one less way to get lost! But if you don't like your server... I'm willing to bet they would work something out. Guest service was not a problem. Overall: I am being a little generous in stars because resorts are not my thing. But this place is in desperate need of an upgrade in signing everything. Post maps in more places. Upgrade your experiences and spread them over the course of the day. For now: You have been warned. Good luck.

Family friendly for young kids and seniors. The staff is so kind. My kiddo had a blast. Food sadly was mediocre. Desserts were really good. Best meal was the lunch cook out. Prime rib: overly tough. My brother in law was walking back to the van so we could head to our next destination when he was stopped by security. Security asked for his id and said he needed to check the tags. Keep in mind this is private community security and not local police. My wife who rented the vrbo we stayed at then got out of the van to try to explain to security that our van was a rental because it seems the reason security was harassing my brother in law was supposedly we needed a permanent community sticker. The guard said the reason why we didnt have a sticker did not matter and he was going to have to write us a citation. My wife gave him the address of vrbo and he claimed there was no way for him to verify we were renting the vrbo. I would also like to mention security was shaking,loud, and agitated from the start. At this time I wll also state that I am a white male, my brother in law is black, and my wife is afro latina. I would love to be able to say it didnt seem racially motivated but the whole situation is very surreal otherwise. My brother in law couldnt stop talking about the fact that this was his first perceived racially charged experience in his thirty year life. The security also seemed like someone who always wanted to be a cop, wasnt able to for whatever reason, and this job was his opportunity to relish some display of power. Im not sure if people should just be aware of security because they are on a power trip or if mixed populations / people of color should avoid this place. Other than the sour experience with security at the end it was a pleasant stay. Pardon poor grammar as i am typing on phone in a car following incident.

The hot tub taken on its own is lovely and so luxurious, a definitely upgrade. But...the kids constantly want to come in and are never stopped. People are leaving trash everywhere since they can get it at the bar next door. The outside doors are right next to it so that becoming a thoroughfare won't be relaxing. The lighting is efficient and modern but not comforting. The splash pad is a fun idea but it is SO LOUD when it comes on, you can't hear anything at all. I'll reserve judgement for when the full outdoors are renovated and when the pool area is quiet it's lovely. We adore this place deeply but do worry it's trying to be all things to all people all the time.

The guest rooms are big so peacefully decorated clean and modern. 2 The Grounds, beautifully maintained open space; a lake for boating, birding talks, bike riding, axe throwing, group hikes, wine tasting, garden demonstrations, outdoor exercise classes. there is an exstensive garden that grows produce for the chefs menu. 3 The Restaurant, wonderful selection of food and drinks, live music. Make a reservation ahead of time to get your table and time. 4 The Activities (included in the price), check out their website, classes are listed ahead of time, and you should sign up for them before your stay. Here's the ones we did; kombucha making, painting, fire making ,yoga, birding, axe throwing, wine tasting, cooking demo, Bosu Ball, Zumba, live music, sleep therapy, veg garden lecture, wood working.
