I've been coming to the Herbery for a while now. Have had my fair share of being helped by each of the herb tenders but the last few times I've gotten Trevor. Cool dude who wears Hawaiian shirts, always makes me feel welcomed and has highly great recommendations on products! It's true what they say % is just a # it doesn't matter. read more

I have some issues with the employees. There was one conspiracy theory lady. She's crazy as hell and likes to spew out her insane flat earth garbage, and to tell veterans that everything they did was for nothing. Other employees simply lacking professionalism. The CEO Sara Elting should engage directly with frontline staff, to gain insight in team dynamics. Maybe that would get their acts together. I miss the old St. john's Crew. Very dissatisfied. read more

The ambience and service , to go simple for the nostalgia of such a restaurant with so much history, and the turkey of course

Caroline and Justin were super amazing! We had family visiting and they were able to help all of us to find things.

On a day I'd like to have lit the world on fire, I found myself in need of a chill pill. I was just across the way eating for the first time in about 20 hours. I didn't feel like crossing town to my usual shop so after my meal, I drove a cross the street and parked. After proving my dashing good looks just make me look young and that I am old enough to enter, I was greeted by Dominic. Dominic asked what I was on the hunt for. He listened to my wants and then showed me my options. That's the kind of bud tender I like. I don't like feeling pressured to look at only top shelf. Or what they need to push. I have certain brands I want, certain strains. I asked for Blue Magoo or Blue Dream. I got Magoo. After a good 8" tall burger and a chill pill, all was right in my world again. read more

The Herbery - St. Johns - Cannabis Dispensaries Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

Four months ago I left the following review for The Herbery. "Just left the store and am completely disgusted on how my wife was treated. My wife is currently going through cancer treatment and one of the side effects is brain fog and confusion. She calculated the total wrong in her head and asked if a discount had been applied. The "bud tender" snapped at my wife and spoke so condescendingly to her it brought my wife to tears. It was a simple mistake anyone could have made and there was no reason to treat a customer so rudely." They apologized and my gracious wife just wanted to drop it and give them another chance. Yesterday, she made an online order so she could have something to relieve the effects from treatment. When she got home she found that the strains in her bag did not match her receipt. Mistakes happen, no big deal. The issue comes in when she called and asked to switch them to the correct items, she was told no because the product had already left the store. It's their employee and their mistake, yet my wife is the one who is told she has no recourse to fix something she had no control over. Best of Clark County? More like Best of Not Caring about customers once they get your money. read more

Emma is such a huge help. Has an incredible smile on her face! Great selection and great prices!

After my previous experience with the ario battery unfortunately this battery had problems as well with the threads, but when I called and spoke with the manager named John and told him how everything had went down with my previous visit with concerns for this problem with the battery. He agreed to let me exchange it for a new one. I understand that is not the policy but everything I went through. I appreciate Jim( I did come back and I will be back again. ) and this manager John. Unfortunately, another Manager hover and just kept asking me when I said I would wait because I had already explained the situation to John and he knew everything. He then just stood there asking again and again finally asked what it was about. I told him and then John came down. John offered to let him finish and he said no go ahead after hounding me for all the information it just didn't make sense. It was another Manager. I don't know his name bigger guy somewhat longer hair reddish brown not very tall when someone says no thank you you don't just keep going and then when John asked if he'd like to just finish it he said no, which blew me away even more. Thank you again, John. I will be back because of this. I appreciate your service. read more

Worst at following own return policy. We have returned 3 times due to our vape cartridges not working but we have gotten every excuse in the book just to not have the cartridge replaced. We had receipt and original packaging but that didn't matter. They ask us before finalizing the order if we know the return policy and we do but obviously they don't, cause I had to throw away a full cartridge Due to not working properly or giving me a bad experience. read more

Used to be a great place, but as others have mentioned, they've really gone downhill the last couple months. Budtenders are clueless, and there's no happiness in the store anymore. Now it's the kind of place where the employees leave 5-star reviews so you don't notice the collapse. Edit to add: Jim has replied below stating that putting up employee reviews would be pathetic, and I totally agree. Yet here's what Christian said a bit ago: Great place to work. I could go on and on about how awesome the owner's are. Love all my co-workers, you're all so amazing!! So are you going to keep lying on your Yelp page or are you going to come clean about having your employees post reviews? When in a hole, stop digging. read more

The selection is decent but the staff is great. Most know me by name at this point. Feels like cheers when I walk in. I'm in and out efficiently, they just need to take 4/20 more seriously by celebrating the biggest stoner holiday all year; come on now folks, that's our Christmas and when you go in it feels like any other day, just fully staffed. Where are the raffles, give aways, wheel spins, deals and gift bags. Show some appreciation to your clientele base and stand out from the competition by going all out. Be the store that has a line out the door. read more

This establishment really deserves 2.5 stars for being perfectly average. I wanted to try somewhere new so visited just to check it out. My thoughts: 1. Very friendly staff. The Herbery is everything Main street is not. They're nice, don't act rushed and annoyed by every question, etc. Certainly the highlight of coming here. 2. Selection was average. I thought they didn't have close to the selection of Main Street. 3. Prices are not competitive. They're not super high but definitely not great or a value. Their least expensive 3.5g was $25. That isn't even close to competitive with other shops for just average flower. Overall I will likely mever return because of high prices and limited selection. read more

This has been my go to place for over a year. Knowledge staff, great prices, and friendly faces. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been there, the vibe has definitely changed. They have new people, with flatline personalities that were as helpful as a stubbed toe. I'm starting to think I need to find a new place, where I can get the kind of customer service I am accustomed to receiving from Matt and Chris. Hopefully, this is just temporary help until the real staff comes back from vacation, if not, I'm done. read more

They took the time to respond to my review, always a plus in my book no matter the comments. Thanks Jim! Unfortunately, I think you may have missed your mark once again. Here is my response to a few of Jim's comments... A few definitions to inform the readers. Dab: A small amount of something. Most often used in reference to vaporizing hash or Dapper Dan's hair products. Hash: A concentrated Marijuana product. *As defined by Washington and Oregon Law* Concentrate: A concentrated mj product produced without the use of solvents. Extract: A concentrated mj product produced with the use of a solvent, most commonly Butane or CO2 gas. Jim: "We don't call bubble hash dabs." Me: "Neither do I. I call bubble hash "bubble hash"." When I called your shop I was told that you don't carry hash and was suggested dabs instead. But since you bought it up, you can dab bubble hash the very same way you dab BHO. Try it sometime! Jim: Hash is a concentrate but we call hash... well hash. Me: Hash is a concentrate, I agree." I also sometimes call hash ... well hash. I call bubble hash "bubble hash", I call brick hash "brick hash". I usually don't call butane rendered hash "butane rendered hash", I most often use the term BHO or dabs. When I am referring to CO2 rendered hash I usually use the term CO2 oil. Jim: "Kief is Kief and waxes or oils are waxes or oils." Me: "Kief IS Kief! Oils are oils!" Kief is a solvent free concentrated marijuana. Oils are... wait... are you talking about Butane oils for dabbing or the CO2 cartridges. Or do you mean CO2 oils for dabbing? Well since oils are oils I guess it's just the same either way. Jim: "We found your comments harsh." Me: "Fair enough." I found your comment condescending. Your explanations seem to be vague and lack foundation. By the way, do you guys have any bubble hash in stock? Cheers read more

I just tried to go into this store with a valid and unexpired Maryland ID and they denied my entrance. The manager said he didn't know what a Maryland ID looked like so he couldn't let me in and that he was "iffy" on the Oregon license my friend presented (valid and unexpired) but that he would let her in? This seems like a strange and inconsistent policy. I work in the cannabis industry, the manager and employees need to keep up to date on acceptable identification and also employ consistent policies. read more

This has been my favorite store for many years now. I have appreciated the knowledgeable staff and friendliness of everyone. Maybe it's because they have they best job in the world! I like this store for its consistently in product. They don't have the largest selection of growers but they have a large selection from each grower that they do carry. Based on what I have seen at other smaller weed shops, it seems that some of their prices are higher... especially considering that they buy, I'd assume, larger quantities than any other venue in the area. But for me the location is convenient and the few bucks extra are just worth it for me. I miss some of the familiar faces from the past but I'm pretty easy to please as a customer and am usually in a good mood when in a pot shop... I mean it's like my favorite store... so I was particularly surprised today when I had a negative experience with my bud tender. I walked in after a very busy 10 hour work day. I had a big smile on my face and I knew what I wanted. The parking lot looked busy when I had pulled in but there were only about 8 customers in the store at that moment. I think (Kaleb?) turned from the register to greet me. I smiled and made a comment about business before a big holiday. He had no expression. I said a second thing and he looked confused. I said, I'm trying to joke around with you but I'm not sure you can handle it. He said -I can handle it, I just don't want to. He continued by telling that he's had a long day and is almost off work so he's tired. -- I'm not sure how long my pause was before I told him the grower I prefer and asked which strain would be best- he helped me. Our interaction lacked luster from that point forward. I was pretty turned off by him in general and if any other shop was in the area I would have walked out. Maybe that's an overreaction but I felt pretty annoyed by the comments. When I have a good experience in this store, I usually at the register will ask the bud tender if there is a favorite joint they are liking. If they seem put off because, I'm at the register and should have asked sooner - I just say thank you, pay for my stuff and move on (that's happened 2x in 100x) when they are eager to show me their favorite- I buy it and give it to them. This guy- will probably never get a tip from me-anything is possible but my first impression is not a good one. I'll absolutely keep coming in. I guess I just hope that the new employees will realize that most of the regular customers spend 400-500$ a month in that business... would be cool if the new guys understood who is really paying their bills. UPDATE: pretty impressed by a thoughtful and speedy response. I can tell you really care as I read other reviews. Thank you for that! I work customer service and am super good at my job so I have a high standard. Cheers! read more

Ok America. There's still business out there that care about fighting for there customers and this is one of them. I stormed out a little mad because i wasn't able to resolve an issue at that time. Thank you for listening and god bless our soldiers. read more

They need to improve conditions dealing with covid-19. Should not be cash only, that is just asking for transmitting the virus. Should not physically take your license from you to scan it. Even though they do use a sanitizer wipe on it, this is still unnecessary and I have a feeling they are using the same sanitizer wipe on everyone's card. I went in about a week ago because my normal dispensary was closed. I had a bad feeling the whole time I was there. I felt bad for the employees. The employees are the real reason this review is 3 star, they are good people and god bless them for coming in to make sure people can get pot during a pandemic. The day I went to Herbery was the first time I'd been out in about 2 and a half weeks and I had been totally healthy. 2-3 days after visiting the herbery, I started developing breathing problems. I am not saying that I have covid-19 as I have not been tested, but I am saying that I didn't have breathing problems before visiting the Herbery. One other positive is that they do open the door for you when you leave, and they do make an attempt to practice social distancing with tape outlining distance from the counters. Those measures are appreciated. Anyway, thanks again to the employees for being committed and risking your health to help people like me have access to our medicine. read more

I did this on Google but they deleted my post... I've been a loyal customer to this company for almost 3 years now... Up to 9 months ago this was the best shop in town, but now I wouldn't recommend anyone shop here at all! The shelves are empty, they got rid of ALL of the awesome, original people (that have been there since the beginning), none of the new employees know the difference between a sativa, an indica or a hole in the ground and the whole vibe is just off and very novice... What happened to this place? What happened to all the budtenders that I knew and loved and could tell me about the products I'm buying? What happened to the products themselves? What happened to the service that we all relied on? What happened to the knowledge and honesty about the products on your shelves? It's obvious that you stopped caring about your employees, products, and most importantly, your customers. My question is, why? What changed? Are you trying to be a worse version of Main St. Marijuana with a smaller selection and higher prices? If so, congratulations... Mission accomplished! I'm very disappointed in the direction you are taking your company and I will not be giving you my business anymore. I'm also recommending that my family, friends and everyone I know who uses cannabis products to not shop here as well. I know that you (The Herbery management) do not and will not ever care about this review at all, but I hope that people shop anywhere else but this sad shell of a company that once existed. Very disappointed... ... Response from the owner: "I do care" Jim M. Owner ... Yes I'm calling you out! Really?! 3 words? That's not even a response... you just proved that you really don't care but that's fine. There's no comment feature to your response so I have to edit my review to give you the feedback you say you love and want... So if you do care, who is the one dropping the ball? Why has this company changed completely in the past several months? You need to get back to the business that won you "best in clark county" for 4 years. Not this pathetic attempt at a half-assed shop that you've become lately... If you don't care, that's totally fine too! Nobody else seems to care either... Just don't pretend that you care about people's needs, the products you sell or any kind of knowledge about cannabis or the CBD products on your shelves. If you just want people's money without providing any helpful service, just say so and that would at least be respectful. Thanks Walmart... I mean The Herbery... read more

I used to not be such a fan of the Herbery but then money got tight and I had to stop shopping at High End and Greenhead and care about gross things like "price". This location is pretty run-down, the carpet is super nasty, you have to go up an entire fucking flight of stairs, and it's always crowded, but the selection is pretty great, they're usually having some sort of special, and they have the CanPay app so you don't have to bring cash. The staff is always super duper friendly and able to recommend something new and exciting. read more

Ever since you moved downstairs, I noticed I started getting less personal attention. It seems like you have become more corporate, very disappointed with that aspect. Your prices are higher than most shops but, recently I noticed a high turn over rate since you moved downstairs and I do not recognize the same faces. I've Been going here for almost 4 years but now the selection is too much and too confusing and the store is too busy at times for me to speak with someone one on one without them being concerned about the time spent and I feel like I'm being rushed out of the door without getting the full knowledge that I feel I need to know to fully enjoy/ use the product for stress and pain relief. Like everyone, my bodies physiology is constantly changing and so is my stress level. But no one will take the proper time to listen and understand the full picture of my "issues" and now I am completely turned off by your shops. I havent taken any product/smoked/edibles/dabs from your shop or whatever for months now. Because of the lack of concern and honestly just being a human being. You are producing robots and I do not appreciate that at all. This is NOT the industry to recruit robots. Extremely disappointed. I've been coming specifically to the St John's shop ( ive tried all 3 of your shops but st. John's was my favorite) because originally I felt like it was a genuine small town shop, it was, until you reopened downstairs and then everything changed, I understand the laws and whatnot. But I feel like the customer care and concern and overall, humanity, greatly declined. I wish your "company" the best of luck. But until I hear from all my friends who still go there, that things have changed...i will not be returning to any of your locations. And i use to come in like 3 times a week. And spent close to $100 every time. I'll miss the flow cream. Essentially, your loss and I will never recommend your shop to anyone I know. I use to praise your shop, voted best of clark county earlier this year and last year....but something changed. I cant quite put my finger on it, but there is a certain energy that is missing. Lack of communication is what I want to call it. Maybe in another life time, but for now, I will never return. Thank you for your previous services and I wish you the best of luck. read more

This is probably my favorite location to visit, these people are always super funny, quick, knowledgeable, and I feel the pricing is beyond fair, especially given the convenience and customer service they provide. There's occasionally someone playing ukulele as he checks IDs-he's super positive and a great musician, Camille is very friendly and helpful, Sarah is a doll and asset to your team, Dominic is a peach and always compliments my hair (he obviously knows good hair), Christian is a crack up, Nathan is very polite and helpful... I could go on. Over the last year I've had nothing but positive interactions. Even when they've been slammed, they've been polite. They are clearly well staffed-they just have busy times like any other business (except if I go to Safeway, there's 1 checker stand in a sea of empty ones, here there's someone at every counter if not more than 1) and I would have to assume any negative interactions written about on here are user error or catching someone on a really off day. They also have the best selection of edibles, and any time I walk in the music playing has been on point. It feels like walking into the Nordstrom of marijuana. read more
