Dr. Tim was incredibly kind, thorough, and generous with his time. He didn't just focus on the immediate neck pain -- he took a deep dive into my history of injuries, mobility, and overall fitness goals. His approach felt truly holistic. After some time resting with CBD cream and a heating pad, he came back in and delivered what I can only describe as a "bomber" adjustment. The relief was so immediate and powerful I actually teared up. I told him, "I feel like I should give you a hug." With the calm confidence of someone who is one part Kurt Russell and one part martial arts sensei, he said, "Well, that's okay," and gave me a good‑natured embrace. I was able to see him again a few days later to reinforce the work before our 10‑hour drive back to Los Angeles, which made a huge difference. If I lived in Tahoe, I'd be in his office regularly. A caring, knowledgeable practitioner, Dr. Walsh listened thoughtfully as I recounted my over-zealous activities the previous two days. Then he did a variety of stretches and worked in the deeper spaces between muscles and skeleton, explaining each step of the way what he was doing. He then showed me some exercises I could do on my own and me video record them on my phone so I could practice after I left his office. Thanks to Dr. Walsh, I felt like a new woman the very next day. I wish I lived there so I could have regular tune-ups with him! It's good to know that he's a "homeboy" with a special gift of art and science, because I go to North Tahoe twice a year and will call him if I ever injure myself again. Because he is a sportsman himself, Dr. Walsh understands a lot of what can happen to an athlete as well as a day hiker. I also appreciated how well he listens and explains things. I think he is the greatest!

The short version: Dr. Blum is simply the best - someone with the professionalism to do a…read moremeaningful diagnostic, work on what actually needs work, and advise the patient to do only the rehab actually needed. She was the only professional able to get me back into running shape after a serious injury that had sidelined me for years. I've been going back to her ever since, especially since my rapidly aging body needs the help. About that running injury. Several years ago, I had a lingering Achilles tendon injury (a freak overuse injury) that prevented me from running all but the shortest of distances - which stank because running is my passion which keeps me sane. I'd been to a handful of physical therapists I found through my insurance company, and they were all the same: brief diagnostic that didn't actually discover what was wrong, no body work, and a demoralizing "kitchen sink" approach to rehab: recommendations to do a dozen exercises that accomplished nothing while wasting so much time I had no time to run. I was admittedly hesitant to visit a chiropractor due to the woo factor. But a couple things changed that. A volleyball friend hunched that I probably had scar tissue which could be treated with Graston technique. And a Yelp search led me to Dr Blum, whose Yelp reviews (at her previous practice in San Francisco) were off-the-charts glowing. I was desperate so I took a chance. It was the best thing I could have done. Dr. Blum started out with a very thorough diagnostic - more thorough than any of the PT's I'd seen before. She figured out exactly what was wrong - it wasn't just that my Achilles was strained, the muscles around it (specifically the calf) was not strong or flexible enough. Over a period of weeks, Dr. Blum worked on that scar tissue and gave me a vastly-reduced rehab regimen that got me back to running again: we cut out 2/3 of the exercises I had been doing, and increased to two days rest between runs instead of one. I was very skeptical until I saw the results: reduced pain, increased flexibility and strength, and ultimately the ability to train up to a marathon - which I ran a year later and set a PR. After this experience, I was completely sold on Dr. B. I would come back to her over the subsequent years when I overdid it in yoga or let bad posture get the best of me at work. I didn't need this help when I was younger but I'm over 40 now... and I need it now. I've learned that during Covid Dr. B does video visits from Reno which is a lifesaver, and presume it'll be back to full service once everything is fully open. Can't recommend her highly enough.
