I found them through a Google and Yelp search with glowing reviews and competitive prices while searching for self-care places on my wedding preparation journey. Scheduling an appointment online through their website is easy and they have two locations for your convenience. When I walked in, the front staff greeted and checked me in promptly, the front area is inviting, space is clean and tastefully decorated. I came in feeling so nervous, almost on the verge of tears from how anxious I was due to how sensitive my skin is. Grace melted those worries away as I built trust from her expertise and care. Grace is professional, polite, and personable. Her gentle technique and mindfulness for sensitivity made the wax bearable. I happened to park in the back of the store without realizing it so I entered through the back &…read morenot the front. Since I didn't realize it was the back door, I waited back there for 5 minutes for someone to come and greet me. The door chimed when I walked in and the door was unlocked so there was no indication that I was actually walking in the back and not the front. I walked up the middle aisle to see if anyone was there and saw an esthetician lying on the table in a wax room that I passed. I stopped and asked "did I walk in the wrong door?" No response. I kept going until I reached what I realized was the front. I didn't know it at the time, but the woman lying on the table that ignored me previously was to perform my bikini wax. I had to wait another 15 minutes for her to be ready for me. I assume she must have been on a break...which is fine...I have no issues with that. But another esthetician came out while I was waiting and offered to the woman up front to take care of my wax and the woman at the front told her no, that I was waiting for Kayla. Technically I was but I was a new client so I just picked a name when I was booking it online and it would have been nice to be asked "hey do you want to go ahead or would you rather wait". I would have most certainly gone ahead with the woman that was ready for me. Meanwhile, while waiting for Kayla to finish her break, the woman up front had ordered food and proceeded to eat while I was waiting, never having me fill out any sort of paperwork even though I was a newbie to this facility, which she knew because I told her when I checked in. She took a few personal calls as well which was very awkward & well honestly unprofessional. Finally, Kayla was ready...she came to get me and took me back to the room to be waxed. While she was in the room she asked me to disrobe from the waist down, leaving my underwear on. Um WHAT?!? She told me this was standard procedure. Never have I had an esthetician IN the room when I am undressing, nor have I ever had one tell me to leave my undergarments on. Fortunately for me this was my first time at the facility so I ended up getting my wax for free but I would certainly not waste my time going back. I had to stay after mt appointment was over to fill out the paperwork that I should have been filling out while I was waiting. Do yourself a favor & go right across the shopping area to European Wax Center...I have been there since visiting Ultraskin and they are FAR better in all aspects.
