I can't express enough how much Krissy has changed my life! I was in excruciating pain for the first 3yrs after having an emergency c section with my 3rd child. I went to see Krissy for myofacial release in April, and I highly recommend her to anyone - athlete or not! Within minutes of the assessment, Krissy was able to see that my hips are misaligned and that my left side is much tighter than my right. I feel it's a true testament to a person's professional experience when they are able to instantly make an assessment - you could definitely see this is something she has dealt with before and is very familiar with. The hands-on work she did was effective without being painful. At times a little uncomfortable, but no more so than, say, a deep massage. The difference though between just a massage and the myofacial work she does is night and day! Immediate effects: breathing was easier, my hips were much more open, my psoas (lower stomach area) felt so much more relaxed...I hadn't even noticed how I had steadily become tighter and tighter. Long term: Krissy gave me a small ball to do self work with, as well as instructions on areas to place it on and how to do the breathing and release. Because of this I've been able to manage the areas she worked on! Yay! Final thoughts: The work Krissy does is just amazing. I went to Krissy multiple times for different issues. I had a motocross crash, and broke my left femur, and left arm. 4 yrs later I still had lots of pain. Through 2 visits Krissy was able to get my pelvis and back straightened, i had been compensating while walking because of the daily pain. Through myofascial release im able to walk without tilting and twisting my pelvis, thus keeping my back from going out and everything radiates out from there. Ive been through alot of physical therapy for my injuries. The usual drill is 35-40 min. with a p.t. helper doing exercises, 10 min. with actual therapist, and 10-15 min. of ice and electronic stimulaion. When you go to The Healing Studio, Krissy gives you a really good assessment, then she works hands on for the entire time you are there. The Healing Studio has such a great atmosphere too. I have always been an athlete since I was young. Playing multiple sports and soccer in college. About 5 years ago, I started in the world of bodybuilding and continued to put my body through a lot of training. Over the past 2-3 years I have increasing mid back pain.
