No thigh meat can go past the seat or it affects the entire row so you can imagine how I felt. Luckily the husband of the lady next to me unhooked their chairs and the other guy left for another seat. Since this is a music venue, it does function best at that if it is for dance floor use. We were close to the stage so we had a nice view. There were also the two screens showing the comedians. There were levels, all with the same seating, which made it easy to get a good look. It is cozy, not to large to get a bad seat. Try to pick your seat in the end if you are not waifer thin.

The pay lots all around minglewood hall were also full. We drove two blocks in each direction and was having trouble trying to find somewhere to park. We finally seen other people parking at a closed Baskin And Robbins, one street over. We didn't see any no parking signs. This was gonna be our only option. By the time we got parked and in line. It was getting very close to show time. There was a line out the door and it was moving very slow. They were having trouble scanning tickets. Their scanners were not working, so they were sending people to a window, to get paper tickets. We finally got in and seated. The show obviously started a little late. I have only been to Minglewood Hall one other time and my experience then was also less than stellar. The seating was just fold up chairs. They were so uncomfortable! A tallboy beer was $12! My son and I both love Brad Williams. I figured it would be a great to spend some time with him and see a good show. Although Brad Williams and his openers were great! This would turn out to be quite a bad night for us. When the show was over, we headed out to where we had parked. As we were getting close to the car, we seen about 20 other people. They were just standing aroung in the cold looking confused. At that point, we realized all the cars had been towed. In my opinion, this is why people don't come to Memphis for shows or anything. Way to much greed! The parking always sucks! Come to find out PB & J towing sits around the corner and waits on everyone to enter the show. Then they start towing people. If you do a quick search for them on here, you will see that they are very predatory in their practice. They have been sued and reprimanded by the BBB. I'm not sure how a place like this continues to do business in Memphis. That will be for another upcoming review. I know this is not completely Minglewood Hall's fault. But if you know, you don't have enough parking for the amount of sold tickets. You should try to work with your neighbors or warn people. I mean, come on, it was a Sunday night! The Baskin-Robbins was closed. We looked around and finally seen two very small signs on the other side of the lot that just said PB & J towing with a number. When you call the number, it just goes to a voicemail or disconnects. They are closed on Sundays! We had to Uber all the way back to Southaven, Mississippi. The Uber driver told us this is a every weekend thing. He picks people up all the time from PB&J towing in this area. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Minglewood Hall for anything. This ended up being a very expensive night!

I purchased "seated" tickets though and there were no seats, so I'm not sure what that's about. During big shows at least, they do charge for parking and it's like $20, which I think is a bit much, but whatever. We had 2 back to back concerts here in a single week and enjoyed it, but wish we could have had some sort of seating since we paid for "seated tickets" because my husband had a back injury so I paid extra for "seats".

Elvis gave his first public performance here, and the summer concert series goes back generations. This is a family friendly activity make sure to fill the donation buckets to keep it going. Bring your chairs, blankets, it gets crowded early! There were some local food trucks, but some people bring their own food, Ravinia style. We loved the music program of pop hits going back a few decades, some symphony standards, and some singers gave us chills. Walkin' in Memphis with full singers? "What's Goin' On" with Symphony backing the score? Shell, Yeah!

Anyway, if you come here for a concert, you should review this listing. If you come here for the casino or hotel, then you should review that listing just like they do at Horseshoe Casino. Horseshoe has their own concert listing too which is called Bluesville Showcase Nightclub. I came here for the Oak Ridge Boys concert. First of all, I thought the tickets were high. Others were getting theirs for free. But, I had to pay for mine. I was told different prices too. At one time, they told if I come back at a certain time, I might one free or discounted. I did and that didn't happen. Anyway, I enjoyed the concert. They put on a great concert. The seats were nice and comfortable and there was plenty of room unlike other concert venues I have been to. They also sell drinks in the concert area which is different from the casino itself which are mostly comped for tips. They don't have as many concerts in this venue like they do next door at Bluesville. But, they schedule some great entertainers here.

The acoustics & sound system are fantastic for any concerts as they bring any musicians to life. The stage view is great refuardless where you're sitting you get to see any performance in great detail. I watched Circus Du Soleil back in 2015. The panoramic view was excellent despite being in the back row I was definately enjoying the Totem & Kurios acts being performed as if I sat 8th row on the sode. The lighting is just right for you to enjoy the full detail of any show Blue Man Group Circus Du Soleil or any similar act you'll be impressed with it's incrediable display. The seats are reasonably comfortable Theather is clean the bar area located outsidr of the theather is very convient. I'll continue to watch many other concerts here for decades to come.
