Last month was My first Time back to this Malco Theater since the renovation. I went during matinee which was $5.50. That's a reasonable ticket price for me to see a first run. I walked into the screening area. The seats are comfortable enough to have a nice recline to kean back while watching any movie. The surround sound system is great on average as with any Malco theather not including the IMAX screen at the Paradiso. I'm crazy about IMAX's. (read my IMAX review on Paradiso's) Their theather screens give an awesome display with their wide convex design. It's very noticeable if you're sitting in the front rows. The projection is like any other (outside of 3d) but still projecting a Hi Def pic bringing out a great display of Imagery & color. Consession prices I'll say the same thing in any review. I find them to overpriced (except Bartlett 10 & Drive In) I'm just gonna purchase something from Malco's grill along with a beer or wine. Which is just as enjoyable. read more

Movie theatre was clean, easy to purchase tickets and because it is at a mall there is plenty of parking. We overall had a good experience and enjoyed the movie. We went on Christmas Day and popcorn was cold or stale and I tied it to the holiday. Due to the cost I would say pass on the concession stand if you can. read more

I like the renovations to the place. The seats are very comfy, and the place is clean for now! Regular concession options, but also an expanded menu. we decided to try it since it was our first date outing in a couple of months since the birth of our son. Ordering food, you can wait or they can give you a buzzer (like the ones given when waiting on a table at other restaurants). That allowed us to go sit in the theater and wait. Keep in mind, it took them a little while on the food, so order in plenty of time. The buzzer went off right as the movie was about to start. Luckily my wife only missed about 30 seconds of the beginning and there was nothing plot-heavy shown. I ordered the mexican pizza, which was surprisingly good. my wife ordered the chicken fingers, which she was were pretty decent. We also each got a drink, beer for me and a glass of wine for her. They had just started selling wine 3 days earlier so it took them a moment to figure it out, but not long. I doubt we'll eat from the expanded menu again, since the prices are comparable to a full sit down restaurant and not quite up to the quality, but it was good and we were satisfied and had no qualms with the purchase. One funny thing that happened while we were there. We were sitting at the counter, placing our food order, and the swinging door into the kitchen randomly falls to the ground. An employee walking by just stopped and stared in disbelief, then picked it back up and leaned it against the wall. read more

Decided to head to the theater to see "It" and I couldn't be more pleased. The new Wolfchase renovations were well worth the wait. I loved the new recliner styled leather seats! It was nice with the exception of the actual row we sat on. Since the theater was slow due to it being a Thursday night, it could have been cleaner. A quick sweep would have caught that junk, but still not bad. I love that we could get a cold beer, hot popcorn and nachos. What can I say I love movie snacks. Bottom line great theater, nice seats and cold beer, I'll be returning. P.S. - Go see "It" read more

I am a sucker for a free movie premiere. My family & I got to see the movie "Night School" at the renovated Malco Wolfchase Cinema Grill. This location is close to home so we did not have to worry about traffic. Plenty of parking since it is located at the Wolfchase Galleria Mall. To my surprise it was not as crowded as expected since Kevin Hart & Tiffany Haddiah was starting in the movie. Most people arrive at least an hour early which usually cuts into dinner time. My family & I ordered from the menu and the food was not bad at all. The seats were very plush and comfortable. read more

I love how they re-did this cinema. It was in bad shape before. They totally revamped it and now it is very nice. I like the comfortable new chairs and the lounge. There is food now on the menu as well as beer and wine. This will be my "go to" theater now. read more

I got a cheeseburger and fry. The food was great! The bun was good, lettuce crisp and green and the tomato dark red! Very clean looking also! They are done with the refurbish and it looks very nice and upscale. read more

It was so cool that Memphis was finally getting a theater that served beer... until they did. It became an odd "Sorry you ordered a beer, my Manager is in the back." Kind of thing. Hoped it was growing pains. It wasn't. It's April. They've been doing this since last year. Maybe they didn't get license that allows more than a beer a movie? Why is it so weird to order beer here??? It's painfully awkward to have a dude with clearly little to no training try to understand what drink you want after you've been waiting in line for 10 min to get a "manager" to pour it. Maybe just stop offering it? Maybe stick with soda and popcorn, guys. This ain't your thing. read more

Okay, I've been here a few times for movies. The Malco Wolfchase often has movies playing that other theaters do not, so usually when I've forgotten one I want to see, this is where I go. This is your typical movie theater. Nothing special. Some of the theaters are stadium seating, some are not. It's really unimpressive in my opinion. The last time I was here, the restrooms were atrocious. Toilet paper everywhere, one stall had mysterious water on the floor (I hope it was water...) and there were no paper towels. Yuck. This particular location is also running rampant with obnoxious teenagers, since it is located within a mall. Save yourself some grief, and drive two miles to the Malco on Stage Road. That one is much better cared for. read more

This cinema is located inside of the quite nice Wolfchase Galleria mall. If you have small children, or know any adults that act like children, they'll enjoy riding the pretty awesome indoor carousel just outside of the theater, pre or post show. The theater itself is comfortable and clean. It's your basic this-candy-and-drink-costs-more-than-it-should cinema, but aren't they all? And if you're fortunate, you'll get to see a new release in one of the theaters with stadium seating, which is state-of-the-art. However, not all of the theaters are equipped with the enormous screens as they are at other cinemas in the area. The restrooms are clean, no rogue toilet paper on the floors, and the seats in the theaters themselves are comfortable. It's a nice place to go on a whim after you get your shop on. read more

They have renovated this theater and it is NICE! I've always gone to Paradiso or Cordova, not trusting Wolfchase because what it's turning in to. Pleasantly surprised. I will be back. The sound and picture are equal to Paradiso now read more

It's old and in need of a renovation. It smells musty. The seats are small. There is no stadium seating (at laest not for the screen where I was). Customer service is not good: We decided to see a movie after doing some shopping. When purchasing our tickets we were told we could not bring our shopping bags in with us. I think that's ridiculous because the theater is located in a shopping mall. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 star because at least the ticket prices are a little lower here than at the other Malco locations. read more

Not the biggest location, but a decent one. They have done a lot of remodels so if you haven't been up there in a while its worth checking it out. If you want a bigger screen experience though I still recommend their Paradiso location. read more

It's really convenient to stop by the theater at the mall after a long day of shopping. They also tend to still be playing movies that are no longer playing at other theaters. I will say it's not the nicest theater, I mean really, it's old. The rooms are strange because the isle is right down the middle of the seats so you can't exactly sit in the 'middle'. It definitely isn't my first choice in theaters, but it gets the job done. read more

This place was just okay. I went to an afternoon showing of Tomorrowland and the tickets cost $6.50 which wasn't a bad deal. For refreshments they have your typical popcorn and candy snacks. They also have coca cola products and water for you to purchase as well as blue and red slush drinks. As for the theater itself, it is pretty old. As we walked in to get our seats, there was a pretty funky smell. However, thankfully it went away after a while. Also the theather it was a pretty small and the seats weren't so comfortable. Overall, for the price it wasn't terrible but I probably wouldn't be seeing any movies here again. read more

My daughters, granddaughter & I went to the opening night of the newly renovated theater. It was awesome! The lobby was very nice & inviting. The restroom smelled & looked good, with new auto toilets & faucets. The seats in theater 6 were large & comfortable. The other three in my party bought sandwiches & drinks & enjoyed them with muted lighting before the movie. We cried, we laughed, we ate, we had a fun evening! As I told the happy, helpful girls at the ticket booth, we'll be back! read more

This theater is outdated-no stadium seating, and it doesn't have a lot of new releases. However, you can find some limited release shows here every once in awhile. Plus, it's the closest theater to us, so I can't complain too much. At least it's clean, and the seats aren't too uncomfortable. read more

Horrible... if you are seeing a movie after 9 I would strongly advise not to.. the service after hours are horrible.. they literally treat you like you're wanting something free when you clearly tell them you're willing to pay.. not recommended to go after 7.. you've been warned . read more

When the mall opened, this was the be all end all premier place for movies. Guess being flanked by newer multiplexes Stage on one side and Cordova on the opposite side of the Germantown corridor nowadays makes this place the afterthought. We ventured here as the only place that was screening Snowpiercer. The concession stand was Spartan and not as varied as Paradiso or Ridgeway. One of the flat screens showing previews was malfunctioning, so you get a "Predator Infrared" image of coming attractions. The place felt like a ghost town. The auditorium was not cleaned thoroughly, as there was trash on the armrests and sticky mess all over; and the seating felt dated. If this place is to get a new lease on life, it should be revamped, modernized, delegated to art house or second run features, or just shutter it. Seems like Malco is stuck with this lease and they're just going through the motions with this movie house. You have my money in other properties, but if given a choice of seeing anything here or waiting for the home release, I'll skip the mall and wait. read more
