Malco Stage Cinema Grill is one of the nicer, more modern theaters around the Memphis area, over in Bartlett near Wolfchase. They've got the big leather recliners, in-seat food ordering, laser projection, and even beer, wine, and cocktails if that's your thing. I recently saw Michael in theater #7 and the experience was really solid. The recliners were super comfortable, and the Dolby Atmos sound mixed with the laser projection made the movie even more enjoyable. There is a huge arcade area at the front of the theater. There are tons of games to play plus a large snack and refreshment area. So far, every movie experience I've had here has been a good one. read more

Not bad for an older location they've made some improvements and worked to keep it looking decent. The concessions aren't that great, but the staff is friendly. Update: Since my last review they have revamped the theater and completely renovated it. Stadium seating, new lobby, new outside, and they added more food items wit a a bar/grill area. I've been to 3 locations in the last 2 months and all seem to have been renovated to reclining seats. You now have to choose your exact seat and since these are much larger than the old seats, there are far fewer seats in each theater (ticket costs have been adjusted accordingly). This has necessitated buying on line once to avoid having to sit in the first couple rows - which will have you looking way up at the screen, straining your neck. For new/popular movies I'd recommend at least starting the process of being tickets on-line, which will all you to see what the current availability is. We went on a family outing to this theatre. We chose it because we had never been. Since there was a large group of us (20+) we decided to purchase tickets ahead of time. The first thing I thought was the tickets were a little steep for a matinee. We paid $12 plus a $1.75 service fee. I understand that there are reclining seats, but that's not worth paying double the price I would pay elsewhere. The theater is nice. There are various areas like the bar and arcade areas. The restroom is nice and spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful when directing us to our location. The seats are a cool addition. The volume and screen quality is pretty good. The new seating was wonderful. Everyone was spread out.Truly an enjoyable experience. Came here with the kiddos to watch Spiderman for the teens and Sing 2 for myself and babygirl. Seats were good,we did pre-order and reserved seating which is a must because we had a mishap, where some movie goers were in our seats. We went to management and all was taken care of. The chicken and popcorn were fresh. And they followed COVID-19 protocols. When waiting for your food instead of missing the movie there's a text given to pickup from concession kiosk. This was our first visit to Malco Stage Cinema and we were very impressed. The facility was very clean, well maintained, and the auditorium was fantastic. There are VERY comfortable reclining lounge chairs in the auditorium. It was like watching a movie in your own home. Food and drinks at the Concession Stand was also very good. We enjoyed buttered popcorn, a hot dog, and a fountain drink. The only disappoint was the low level of employee engagement with customers. Went to the movies to see Bad Boys 3! If you haven't seen it yet, go and see it!! This theatre was very nice. They have a full bar and a large variety of food at the concessions. Its a movie theatre-nightclub-lounge. But it works! Seriously, this theatre has comfortable recliner seating and a bar. It's the closest thing to being at home! The food is pretty good and if you just want to snack the candy selection is decent. This is a good spot for a date, or just a chill outing with friends. This theater is closest to me and I've been here several times now. I'm very glad they finally got the nice reclining seats. You can purchase your tickets online and reserve your seats ahead of time. They have a lot of good options, but I have not tried anything yet. The bathrooms are usually clean and the staff is courteous. I do think they could be more friendly and outgoing with their customers, otherwise it is a good experience. read more

I am so glad renovations are complete. I've been coming to this theater for as long as I've been in the area. However, it needed updating really bad! I was really impressed with the new ticket counter set up and choosing your seat option.You purchase your ticket and then you choose your seats! Concession stand is still in the same spot, BUT to the right there is now a grille area with adult beverage options and food. The regular concessions are still available, I didn't get a chance to visit the grille, but I will update this review when I do. Now about the recliners. ABSOLUTELY amazing and comfortable. You can put your feet up and not worry about kicking someone in the head or being kicked in the head. It looks like some space was lost with the new recliners, but I personally didn't mind. I'd rather have more room and more comfortable seating arrangement than before. Now if patrons and staff just keep it nice and everyone show pride in having this newly renovated theater I'd really appreciate it! horrible experience. bought tickets ahead of time and our seats were taken and had to sit elsewhere only to be asked to move for the people who bought those seats (which is fine we did it happily) and the people in our seat refuse to move. Malcos solution was to separate me and my 5 year old who purchased these specific seats, instead of asking this group of adults to move to their originally purchased seats. definitely won't be back there. read more

This is definitely my new favorite theater. They serve food and alcohol and bring it to you in the theater while you enjoy plush reclined chairs that you get to choose when you purchase your tickets. All of the rooms are small so I recommended buying your tickets early. When you go to choose your seats, there's not a bad seat in the house. The ticket prices are about the same that you'll find anywhere. Same with normal concessions. They have an entire bar area that up go into to place your order for food and alcoholic drinks. The entire place from the bathrooms to the theater rooms are clean. Definitely a place you'll want to return to. read more

Very disappointed at the service here today. 3 front cashiers ALL ON THEIR PHONES.... Liam's at concessions, had no customers before came to his station...popcorn n soda spill on counter. When I asked if he was going to clean it..."yay when I'm not busy." Really? So I got my items, 2 ladies beside us, I asked again, are you going to clean this mess up? Say reply. I took the napkins and cleaned it myself. They're offering to only sell 50% of tickets to help with this virus stuff. A smart employee would want to SHINE, in hope's that if & when hours ate cut, my mgr would want to ensure to utilize the best. Ditch these 4 right off the bat. The staff was super friendly and very nice/accommodating. The popcorn was Ok, and they were out of most of the food that I wanted. Ended up getting the jalapeno poppers which were very good (although they didn't come out in time bc the workers didn't connect it to the number they gave me, which happens) The seats were extremely comfortable, although the theater is so big, the screen was a little small for how far we were sitting. I would recommend seats in the first 6 rows from the screen. Price was exactly the same as AMC by the end of it all. I would give it a 3/5 but because of staff a 4/5 seems more fitting. read more

The bar shut down at 8:00 pm and the movie started at 7:40. Also never had a problem with cleanliness but this time on 4/12/22 I saw morbius and I had ants( about 4 of them throughout the movie) crawling on me. read more

I don't know what is going on with the staff lately. We purchased our tickets online and weren't sure if we had to get in line or not. None of the employees would make eye contact or answer our questions. We head to concessions and an employee named "Andrea" refused to look us in the eye and was beyond rude. We asked for extra butter and she literally rolled her eyes at us. Informed us they didn't have dr. Pepper, and when we told her another drink she didn't even respond. I always watched her put popcorn that feel on the counter into the popcorn bucket of the person in line in front of us. She was so rude it actually ruined the experience. read more

The new seats are great. The reserved seating might be nice once the electronic bugs are ironed out. We have used it twice. the first time was great. Second time, not so great - wrong interior theater, wrong time, wrong movie. I am sure this will get better in time, the restaurant, however, is a whole different matter. The employees were friendly and helpful and the idea of your food being brought to you while watching a movie is first class. What is not first class is a $10 cheeseburger with an overcooked , dry, and cold hamburger patty on a less than fresh bun. The tomatoes and fries were the best part of the meal. I suggest you dine somewhere else first before going to the theater In all fairness,I probably could have made my way down to the restaurant in the theater and made a complaint and my food would have probably been replaced, but we had six people in our party what a PIA that would have been for us as well as the employees. read more

The 4oz.mixed drink was on point, but so small. I found the theater really interesting. I loved the reclining chairs but besides that there were a lot of downsides like the screen flickering every couple of minutes and the sound stopping here and there. The whole assigned seat is also a little strange and we had people sitting in our seat which was unpleasant since they didn't want to move and the movie was sold out. The only bathroom they have is at the entrance which is also a little strange. I like the idea but they need to work on the rest. read more

I wasn't optimistic what I would find here, but was pleasantly surprised by this under-attended, hole-in-the-wall theatre within a few miles of multiple other theaters that beats the others hands down. I got very good seats and parking spot on opening night for multiple movies without getting here super early. The seats recline a little bit and the place is clean. Snacks get expensive, but to expect other than that at a theatre would be delusional. It's smaller than the other theaters nearby, but makes up for it in the simple details. read more
