Stayed here for a couple of nights while working in the area. Rooms were nice enough, but the…read morebathroom had quite a bit of mold, all along the side of the tub and in the corner and up the wall. I wanted to get some bottled water out of the vending machine but it didn't accept credit cards or change, only $1 bills. I didn't have any ones, so I went to the front desk and asked for change for a five. The front desk person said, "Sorry, we don't make change." I explained that I needed ones for the vending machine because wanted some bottled water and it didn't accept anything except $1 bills. She said, "I don't make change but some of my coworkers do" but it was 10:00 pm and there weren't any other employees around.

And if you're expecting the yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast, you'll also be rolling the dice. For our stay, they had plastic wrapped honey buns. I ended up taking my son to urgent care where he was prescribed steroids. Here's the thing... we have insurance and money to travel frequently and pay for hotel rooms. For some folks, this might have been the only hotel stay they'd have for years. And some folks don't have insurance. If that'd been us, this would have been a big deal. IHG and the hotel management need to treat every guest as if this was their one hotel stay ever. As if they'd spent their savings to pay for a room. Because that's NOT their approach to customers, I'll stay elsewhere. (Friend just texted and asked me about this review which reminded me... I talked to the hotel manager on Monday. Told her the room smelled weird (like sicky sweet) when we got there at midnight, but that we couldn't really leave since it was so late. She said it was probably because an old lady stayed there before us and "you know how old ladies smell". ) Really... stay somewhere else.

We visited this hotel for one night on the way down to Myrtle Beach for our family vacation. We…read morewere so pleasantly surprised by this property. The first thing I noticed when we walked (and as we drove up to the hotel) in was how incredibly clean the hotel was and a sign rating this an "A" 98.0 for cleanliness. The staff at the front desk were so welcoming and very nice. I included pictures of our room, it was immaculate and smelled clean. I've travelled a lot and stayed at many properties and some have that stale hotel smell, this one didn't. It was quiet and very comfortable. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, I had no problems falling asleep. The bathroom and vanity are separate both offering Dove soaps, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, full size containers. Free breakfast everyday, with eggs, meats, fruit, yogurt, etc. On the weekends breakfast is served from 7-10 am. We had the cheese omelet making it into a sandwich with crispy bacon. I can't say enough good things about this property. We are now thinking of making this a permanent spot whenever we travel to the area. Bravo to the staff, you are stellar at making your customers feel welcome and content (filling breakfast). Thank you for a great stay!

Ok, this is going to be a long post…read more Starting with checking in last night. The young girl needs training. When I told her my last name, the first thing she said was "I thought it was a typo". Then when she asked for my ID, I showed her my driver's license and my entire name on the credit card. She kept questioning me about my name not matching. I told her do you want to hear my NJDMV story? Then she finally stopped. No hotel has ever greeted me like this. Then, she asked me repeatedly do I have pets. I said no, just arrived after driving from Disney World. As I signed the paperwork to guarantee that I do not have pets, she kept on "reminding" me do I have pets. At that point after 5 minutes of the check in process I just wanted to go to my room. I booked a king suite back in January. The description on the room said jetted tub. I was looking forward to having a bath. When I walked into the room, there was no bath tub of any kind. I will file a complaint directly to headquarters. Then came asking for a morning call. I called several times before the young lady answered. I told her I wanted a morning call at 7:15. I was surprised she did not know from her system which room was calling. Or maybe she just wanted to confirm the room number? The room was very large and the bed was comfy. Everything in the room was good, except the jetted tub was missing. This morning, at 7:15, there was a knock on my door. Apparently that was the morning call! Instead of a phone call, another young lady came and knocked on my door as morning call. What?? This was totally unexpected. I am now really wondering what kind of phone system this hotel was using. Breakfast was excellent. The two ladies running the breakfast were very nice. Check out was easy and fast. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the lobby was clean. There was only one elevator, and it was very small. I am just not sure the price I paid for the night was worth all the troubles. I would recommend booking at another hotel if you are in the area.

Worst hotel ever…read more The one star is for the friendly customer service. I believe this is the worst hotel I have stayed in, in my adult life. To begin, there was a horrible smell of wet dogs in the lobby upon checking-in. The smell continued into the hallways and into the elevator. The elevator even smelled like dogs (along with a little something one of the dogs left behind). To be fair, it rained earlier that day. However, when I checked into my room, it absolutely reeked of dogs. The inside was dingy and had dog hair everywhere (linen and chair). So much so, there was even dog hair on the wheels of my suitcase. My room door paint was chipped and looked as if it was the original paint. I thought it was just my door but nope, nearly my entire floor had the same issue. The water pressure was great but the water drained incredibly slow, so the tub kept filling up with water during my shower. Bathroom vent cover was filthy and discolored. No USB outlets, awkward electrical outlet placement. Additionally, other in my party had to switch rooms due to missing basic necessities from the room. When looking at other options, the first thing noticed when we turned on the light was a huge bug. The bathroom vents looked the same-dirty and discolored. Needless to say, that room wasn't chosen. However, the rooms seem to be the same-dingy. Final takeaway: the rooms need a complete makeover and update (like adding USB outlets). Since it's a pet-friendly hotel, more consistent and finite cleaning (with an added fragrance) throughout the hotel so you cannot smell the pets. It would have been great to take advantage of the breakfast but given the conditions, we chose not to eat there which was unfortunate since we specifically selected a hotel with that option.
