I have also been seeing Jen Cherewaty for acupuncture and TCM for a few years now. I was referred to Jen by Dr. Brown during my first pregnancy. Jen's treatments are always so relaxing and are appointments I actually get excited about. I had such an amazingly easy pregnancy and I attribute most of that to Jen's treatments. I am seeing her during my second pregnancy and so far have had similar wonderful results. I tell all of my friends to go see her. I have had acupuncture from others before and wasn't too thrilled with the results. I didn't really notice much of anything changing after the treatments. Not so with Jen. I can almost always feel a difference quickly. She really knows what she's doing. Even if you've had acupuncture before and didn't think much of it, give her a try!

The nice thing is that they do direct billing for Pacific blue Cross. You can do all the booking and everything online so it's super easy. My physiotherapist is Tyler and he has been helping with my knee pain. He treats it , provides me with exercise and explains everything really clearly. I totally recommend seeing him for injuries or just injury prevention.

His calm manner would put any new client at ease and he used the equipment perfectly. Sue checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was OK, but her visits were really unnecessary. No one should be embarrassed by the procedure, there is almost total privacy. Clients wear special shorts for the treatment; these shorts have an opening secured by velcro which provide discreet access for inserting the speculum. If there is anything to complain about, it would be the small rooms at the Fir Street location (barely enough space for the bed and the equipment) and the lack of a proper waiting room. I recommend IGH highly, both for first-timers and for more experienced people like myself.
