I've had better at the airport. Also got some appetizers which were overall unremarkable. Not bad, but not good either. The wait staff was pleasant and the food didn't take terribly long to come out. The food was not as described in the menu and neither were the prices. Every item we ordered came out in sporadic order and one in our party waited for over 40 minutes for a medium burger. The menu prices did not match the prices that were on our checks and the business manager tried to explain that it was something in their system, and each item had sales tax. But we were also charged a sales tax on our subtotal, and a credit card fee. I wasn't pleased and won't be returning. Sadly because the place has a great atmosphere but the food and service were disappointing. Also waiting 45 minutes at an empty restaurant isn't ideal. read more

We've been to The Hanger 3 times since it's opening and the food has been consistently fantastic. The portions are large and everything, except for 1 of the desserts, is homemade. The sausage stuffed mushrooms are the bomb! The fried green tomatoes are fantastic with homemade bacon and ranch sauce. We really enjoyed the ribeye steak too! We go during off hours, so it isn't too busy. The service was great too! read more

Yes it is all about airplanes and such but the staff is weird and not what we were expecting at all, especially since it was recommended. We didn't know why. And it was also super hot in there. This restaurant charges a fee to use a credit card. I believe terms of credit card contracts forbid this, as well as Florida statutes. In any case, plenty of other places do not charge credit card fees. read more

My wife and I had lunch there a couple of days ago We were delighted with the food, service, and decor. I ordered Jambalaya and it came with 2 sides. Loved it. What a great find!!!! This past weekend, we had dined at the Hanger and I was very impressed! I love that this restaurant is family owned and operated - you can feel their passion and care through the unique and thoughtful decor, the flavors in each dish, and the owners personally come to check on you. There is a great variety of foods and everyone really enjoyed their meal! We had the loaded nachos for an appetizer and they actually use the queso type melted cheese!!!! It was soooooo yummy and the BBQ flavor was on point. We each tried their recommendations for the main dish and also had the most delicious peach pie (homemade) for dessert! Wow...perfection is all I can say for our really tasty delivered meals tonight. My husband ordered the chopper steak one of his favs with onions and gravy and mashed potatoes and green beans. The helping was plentiful and cooked to perfection with so much flavor. I ordered blackened snapper with shrimp, veggie medley, and mashed potatoes. The serving was such a big portion I was able to save some for another meal. The fish was so tasty and even though it traveled to the house in a to go delivery order it was absolutely perfect. They plated things separately and in foil to keep the heat and keep separated which was appreciated. The grilled veggies were so yummy. I will say, I always feel that the prices are a little steep but I kept noting as did my husband as we were enjoying our food, the price for such a well cooked large meal was so worth every penny. Actually buyers came out after 45 minutes and sent back because bacon on the burgers was almost raw. I usually do not send food back but bacon was unacceptable. This restaurant is a definite NO for me. Inadequately staffed, long wait for extremely sub par food. Very stale chips were served to our table of four with our appetizer. We waited 15 minutes for 4 small plates to share the appetizer. Steamed broccoli was served ice cold and long wait for butter and condiments to accompany a black and blue burger served cold on a toasted bun that was cold and absolutely lacking tomato, pickle, and or lettuce garnishment. The brisket sandwich tasted good, but there were maybe four fatty slices on the sandwich. The fries are dipped in flour and bland. I've been to the hangar three times trying to give it a chance, the first time wasn't bad but we caught them when they weren't busy, the second time they were very busy and service was slow and inattentive, the third time the waitress took our order, the kitchen staff lost our ticket, and it took me asking after about 45 minutes where our food was before she checked on it. The only saving grace from that visit was we got our food for free but had to take it to go because we had three hungry and tired kids, the manager offered us a free meal if we'd come back and try them again but I'd be a fool to take her up on that offer. The food is average at best and the service is abysmal, there are plenty of good places to eat in Milton and this isn't one of them. read more

The service was good but the food was very disappointing. The fried jumbo shrimp appetizer were 4 small shrimps for $9. The fried pork sandwich was a flattened pork sausage that was breaded and over fried (gross). The chicken piccata was a colorless bland chicken breast covered with a sour sauce (even more gross). Decided to try out The Hangar on V-day with my better half! Since V-day, they only served from a special menu. Then was told that 2 of the 4 entrees were not avail. The special was $60 for two, quite overpriced for this venue. Shrimp queso was outstanding but the chips were stale, greasy, and awful. Had to ask for replacement. Ribs were served as single gigantic rack, but were dry and overcooked (need to take lessons from Sonny's). Twice baked potato was very bad, must have been prepared hours before. Also, what was supposed to be sweet tea was not sweetened and server confirmed. Dessert was a choco bread pudding and was good. Honestly, the highlight of the experience was server Sarah, who was delightful and tried her best to make up for the issues above. Will not return and do not recommend. read more

Wish I could give 10 stars! Lovely family owned restaurant with a chef from the well known and loved Apple family! Food was amazing! I had the grilled shrimp dinner while husband had beef tips! Cocktails were well made and the interior was a treasure trove of avation memorabilia! Learned about music on Saturday nights and community night fund raising events. Service was fast and attentive. It's our opinion that the servings are scant for the price and the food temp was less than desired. Sorry. We won't be back. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed eating at The Hangar. Our waitress, Kelly, was amazing and very accommodating to our family including our two hungry kiddos. The atmosphere is awesome, and is full of military and super cool aircraft decor. The food was amazing! Wife and went there recently and wile the food was good they botched the order. We both ordered burgers and the menu says burgers come with or without chees so we selected cheese. The kitchen forgot to put cheese on mine but I thought ah well, its still good. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said she would take the upcharge for the cheese off the menu. Now, the menu didn't doesn't say anything about cheese being extra. The waitress said she would take the upcharge off for my wifes burger as well. The excuse for the charge- "Its on the new menus but we haven't gotten those in yet." Second the receipt had a 'Non cash Adjustment' charge on it. So if you use your debit card (or credit card) you get charged 3.75% extra. We saw no sign anywhere abt an extra charge for using a card so when we asked another waitress said it was at the front counter. Turns out the only sign is on the front door and is abt the size of a playing card with small print that nobody would notice unless it was pointed out to them- which it was for us as we were leaving the restaurant! Unreal. I would feel scammed if the whole set up wasn't so ludicrous. Ok, I do feel scammed. We will never go back and highly suggest no one else go either. read more

Walked into the place already suspicious as it was prime dinner time and there was hardly a crowd..anyways we sat down and looked at the menu and got our drink order in. Then one of the owners stopped by to tell us all about the menu which was appreciated. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and they were mediocre at best. The bacon ranch was delicious though. I decided to get a burger which was okay, but definitely not the best I've had. My girlfriend got the loaded fries because she wasn't very hungry. This is where the issue comes in...she was given a very small plate of fries with just cheese and bacon on top which is exactly what she wanted, however it was never explained to us that there was a "larger appetizer" portion which our server claimed she got. Her "loaded fries" were a dollar cheaper than my 1/2lb burger with fries. HOW?! When I confronted the server and told her we thought we were ordering the $3.99 side version, she said oh no I got you the appetizer. So she never told us there was a larger more expensive version which I'm very convinced we didn't get. It looked like she was desperate for money since they weren't busy, and in an attempt to make more in a tip she up charged us for an item we didn't get. Her "appetizer" had the same amount of fries I got as a side. I wished I had pictures to prove my point but I didn't know about this until it was time to pay. They have had a change in menu since last there. They now serve mostly sandwiches (hamburgers chicken ). Service was good. We were there with a large group and had 2 servers. They were very nice and took care of the group well. I had the Hawaiian burger it's 1/2 lb, with bacon pineapple an barbecue sauce. It was very good.
