I've lived in Crestview for about a year and have always been curious about this place. My husband and I arrived and all of the employees were sitting outside smoking cigarettes (no biggie). One employee noticeably wearing a 'F$&k 46' hat on-- again, no biggie. Upon entering we notice a pungent smell of old grease/ oil. We order some hot dogs and fries TO-GO. The women working to put our meals together engage in conversation with one another; As this is a small establishment, my husband and I could hear every word. The woman wearing the lovely hat blurts out "The French are nothing but snail sucking F@GG0T$". It hurts me to even write those words. My husband and I were appalled, looking at each other with our eyes wide open. We get home and I immediately have to change my clothing because it STINKS of oil. Now.. about the food (if that's what you want to call it) The hot dogs tasted like school lunch, fries were soggy and tasted freezer burnt DRENCHED in oil and inedible. HONESTLY, I don't see how this place is even open-- let alone have 4/5 stars. Personally, I would never visit this place again NOR recommend it to anyone.

Then I got on Yelp to see what I could find and I ran across Sammy Barker's. I read some of the reviews and I threw caution to the wind and said let's do it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The place is nicely decorated and it has plenty of seating. Our server Ava, gave us some great suggestions and gave us a run down of the restaurant. We ordered the Argo wing and the Burger Battle Winner. The wings had a sweet and spicy flavor that didn't taste like it came from a jar. The wings were perfectly cooked and had the right crispness. The burger, man this thing had so much going on, I don't know where to start. The patties were fresh and cooked to perfection, the Sammie sauce is amazing and the slaw takes it right over the top. Oh, the hand cut fries are also delicious. I love a place to take the time to make things from scratch and with detail. This meal was worth every penny. If you want a great burger and wings, you must come here!!!!

The restaurant was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for small or large groups. Allison W. approached our table and she knows the menu. We had a hard time deciding on what to eat because everything sounded so good and Allison allowed us time to decide on what we wanted. It's not all carbs they have vegan choices and salads. I had the Ripper Hotdog and I added the Blue Cheese Spread. It was an all beef weenie wrapped in bacon & deep fried. It's definitely a level up on hotdogs. My husband had the Chi Town Hotdog & he added Smoked Gouda. Even the buns were delicious. We have eaten a lot of cheese curds in Pensacola but these were definitely our favorite. The curds were lightly breaded and cooked to the most perfect color. I could not stop eating them. I saved the best for last. I have never had Pork Rinds this Awesome When Allison brought them to our table they were still cracking! We ended up taking those home and they were so delicious even a day later. Can't wait to come back but next time we will bring friends.
