Then I got on Yelp to see what I could find and I ran across Sammy Barker's. I read some of the reviews and I threw caution to the wind and said let's do it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The place is nicely decorated and it has plenty of seating. Our server Ava, gave us some great suggestions and gave us a run down of the restaurant. We ordered the Argo wing and the Burger Battle Winner. The wings had a sweet and spicy flavor that didn't taste like it came from a jar. The wings were perfectly cooked and had the right crispness. The burger, man this thing had so much going on, I don't know where to start. The patties were fresh and cooked to perfection, the Sammie sauce is amazing and the slaw takes it right over the top. Oh, the hand cut fries are also delicious. I love a place to take the time to make things from scratch and with detail. This meal was worth every penny. I learned quickly that the area is NOT vegetarian friendly and this place was one of the few exceptons. The staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and they always got food out in a timely manner. We ended up visiting the food truck 2-3 times during our trip because we trusted the quality of what was being served. The one thing I can say that I was disappointed with was their sauces. A bit ironic, as it's in the name but they were extremely underwhelming. We ended up using sauces we had saved from other spots. I still highly recommend trying them as their food was very good!
