This is a large Marks and Spencer store, located inside Gemini Retail Park, in Warrington. The…read morestore is over two floors and features most of the usual facilities you'd expect from Marks and Spencer including a cafe, toilets and a currency exchange. The store has two floors with escalators and elevators going between both levels. Sadly the store does not have either an Optician or Collect by Car facility. The store was fairly clean, modern and easy to navigate, the Food Hall was particularly large with a good selection, featuring a nice range of dairy and free from products, the in-store bakery was a disappointment though, the area was tiny and the stock was minimal. The Christmas range was particularly impressive, with a good selection of luxury chocolates and shortbreads as a gift, I did visit in November 2022, so this is a seasonal thing, but well worth a look in ahead of the holidays. The staff seemed friendly enough and the checkout experience was made simple by the Marks and Spencer app, where you can scan and bag items as you go around the store, and then pay on your phone before leaving. It has its' own part of the retail park, meaning it has its' own dedicated parking lot, so there shouldn't be too much of a kerfuffle in finding a space, and you don't have to worry about a long walk back to your car with heavy shopping. 4*

This really is a huge store and is full of just about everything you could possibly want, mostly at…read morevery reasonable prices. I did find that you have to really look for bargains, though, as there doesn't seem to be any structure to the displays. I must admit that I went here in the second week of December, on a Saturday - maybe not the ideal time, but then again, the shop was open! Another slight gripe I had was that we had to ask an assistant where the menswear was, as, on entry, all any of us could see was pink, women's clothing on all sides! As far as I, and my clients, could see, there were no obvious signs. Having said all that, we were all impressed with the service and pleasantly surprised to find M&S still haven't adjusted the prices for the lower VAT - thus everything we bought was actually less than the ticket price.

I don't know if you still have to have a Matalan card to shop here, but I got one ages ago. I took…read morea client shopping for trainers and he's disabled, so needs velcro fastenings. This limits it quite significantly. JJB sports didn't have any, just like all the major shoe shops. When we eventually tried Matalan, they not only had a choice, they were £7 a pair for reasonable quality. When I was asked about a card, I thought it may come in useful at some time, filled in the information, was given a temporary card and got £1 off the trainers immediately! Definite points for the store there! What I was impressed by was that, although the prices are ridiculously low, most of the products are good quality - at least as good as most normal shops. I couldn't give five stars, however, due to the long wait to get served. There was a snake of people all waiting patiently and two tills in operation, every time I have been in, no matter what time of day. I still recommend Matalan to everyone for whatever clothing they need.

If you have a Matalan card, and you can easily apply for one of these in any of the shops, Matalan…read moreis the perfect budget place to shop. This Warrington store has had a recent refurbishment, and now looks bigger than it did previously. The shop is really spacious, and there are no problems shopping with a pram. The shop has a great selection of everyday clothes. You can pick up tops for £2.50, and leather shoes for a tenner. They also have regular offers, and 3 for 2's on gifts, especially around Christmas time. Most of the staff are really friendly, and car parking is usually fine. Be aware, however that the store does get busy. Weekends can be a nightmare, and even with all the checkouts open, be prepared to queue!

One of the larger anchor stores of Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington - this store seems…read moreto be fairly popular based on Yelp reviews which date back eleven years (sadly this place has been unreviewed since the Qype days back then). This is a fairly small store by Debenhams standard, however, this must be expected to a degree with it being in a smaller town - there are much larger branches at Manchester Trafford, Manchester Market Street and Liverpool which are all 10-20 miles away, but this location still serves as a great location for click and collect for customers who might want Debenhams fashion without the travel (The click and collect desk could be in a better location compared to the Lower Ground floor but this seems to be common practice to force people to spend more time going through the store hoping they see more items along the way, you normally wouldn't see when online shopping) Again - due to the size of the store compared to others they did lack many facilities one would normally expect from Debenhams including many beauty brands which is a shame - they do however have a small cafe area, but unlike other stores, they don't have a juice bar or something similar. OK store for a small town - again I found this to be quite common for many stores within Warrington. "Meh I've experienced better", sums it up for me. 2*

It may be a little smaller than the city centre debenhams, but it still stocks everything you could need. I love the designers at Debenhams range, particularly for children, and the fact that you can now buy Radley bags in the town centre is a bonus. The cafe on the top floor is brilliant as you can look out onto the whole shopping centre and have a nosey as to what everyone is getting up to.
